The trip with a large group from Boothstown to the Barton Swing Bridge was a wonderful experience. The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. The food was excelent, And the trip relaxing and informative. Bags of assistance too to help those with mobility problems on and off the boat.

I went on the afternoon tea cruise today with my mum we both really enjoyed it and a lovely chatty girl called Sarah was serving us. The person driving the boat was telling us about the history of the canal. It was really interesting I'd definitely go again and even considering hiring the lady Harriet for the day it looks like a stunning boat. Thanks for a lovely day 😁 Everyone was spaced out for social distancing and masks worn to your table and hand gel 😁

We were bought this trip by one of our sons and travelled today on fathers day. I can only say that I would highly recommend this trip as something Very different from a normal pub lunch. The food was excellent, staff excellent, chef excellent and whole afternoon was an absolute joy. We have usually been on the steam trains in Bury which I highly rate, but this is right up there with the best. Well done to all the team and we will definitely becoming back, however I might have to book Monday off after the trip. Thank you

My new hubby and I can defiantly recommend as an excellent venue. We had our wedding breakfast on board in April. The food was excellent, the staff were fantastic and decor was perfectly done to match our colour scheme. Just arrived home after a lovely cruise with afternoon tea. Couldn't fault it. Food excellent especially the egg and caress sandwiches, but the scones were beyond compare. I had to compliment the chef who worked in a teeny tiny galley and guess what he gave us a couple to take home. I would have happily paid for them. We will be back.

Had Afternoon Tea delivered today. Exceptional value for money. Lovely gentleman delivered it, perfectly distanced......came in box, decorated with lovely red bow. Sandwiches, quiche, Lemmon posset, cakes and scones. Delicious......I'd recommend any day to anyone.

I had an superb afternoon tea aboard this lovely boat. Food was above average, fresh homebaked cherry scones, excellent desserts and selection of finger sandwich fillings all prepared onboard. Enjoyable canal cruise with interesting commentary. Things to note would be that the steps to the boat are very steep and would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Highly recommended and I will be travelling again!

Easter Craft Trip I would certainly recommend this excellent cruise to anyone, especially with small children, we took our grandsons aged 4 and 2 and they thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was really good value, booked with Groupon. The boat was comfortable and quite warm even though it was quite cold outside. First we were treated to drinks, juice for the boys, coffee or tea for us. Then the really interesting crafts to entertain the children kept coming at well spaced out intervals so they never got the chance to be bored. The eldest was so engrossed in his craft-work I don't think he even knew he was moving. On top of all that the kids were given, not the small cream egg expected, but a medium size Easter egg which was such a lovely finish to the trip. Thanks for such a good day which was even better then expected.

Myself and my wonderful wife were married on Marks boat and one year on Mark now has a holiday boat which we spent the bank holiday weekend traveling the Bridgewater, the boat was so easy to drive and park and the onboard facilities and comforts were 1st Class, there was no problem taking our dog and he loved it but if you just want to get away or do something different with the children I can totally recommend Marks boat. Or for something totally different get married on the larger boat like we did and then take the smaller boat on honeymoon now that would be a 1st Class wedding.

A perfect way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, firstly the boat seats about 30 people and it is a really nice atmosphere inside, the boat sailed from Worsley to the Barton aqueduct and across the Manchester ship canal on this fantastic feat of Victorian engineering, with sparodic commentary highlighting the interesting points along the canal Now the food, I must admit I had low expectations as the chef had a kitchen about the size of a match box to work in, however my expectations were blown out of the water the moment my starter arrived, it was beautifully presented and tasted perfect, and plenty of it, the meal was to be served throughout the duration of the cruise, and to this end it was a totally relaxing experience, the main course arrived just before half way, a beautiful roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, how he managed the lovely crispy roast potatoes and perfect Yorkshire puddings is completely beyond me, but they were gorgeous, dessert was served on the return leg having navigated the Barton aqueduct again, the dessert was to die for, simply amazing, all finished off with coffee and mints. The drinks menu was also excellent, great variety and prices which really suprised The reason for our beautiful relaxing Sunday afternoon cruise was my Dad's 85th birthday, I have a feeling we will be back again for his 86th Thank you so much Bridgewater Cruises, we will be back Chris
