Returned on Redjet from Southampton. Terminal is tired and in need of refurbishment. Toilets not very special. Girl in office very pleasant though. But looked bored. Trip was OK. Staff helpful and courteous.

We took a trip to IOW on the Red Jet because it was on our list of things to do. Travelled by ferry many times and looked in envy as the Red Jets overtook. Loved the ride, much faster than the ferry. Took us to Cowes where there was plenty to see. Fair prices especially off peak. Loved it!

All fine except that many passengers don't wear a mask and queue less than a foot apart. Not RF's fault per se but a few more reminders/requests at queueing points, in the waiting room, on embarkation and specifically on the car ferry open decks would help. Crew don't ask to see proof of exemption. If RF show they care, they will gain business as many more responsible passengers would feel safer about using RF. For example, if someone is forced to travel to care for a vulnerable person the current lack of supervision is very concerning.

First time travelling since all the lockdowns and I am pleasantly surprised with the speed of boarding and social distancing. However, the ticket pricing is both extremely confusing on the self service terminals in the terminal building, the frequency of boats is awful on the Red Jet routes and the price of travel is simply criminal given the monopoly they have on this direction of travel. If you're planning on using Red Jet, check the timetable EXTREMELY carefully and make sure you've got that remortgage sorted to afford it

Always a pleasant journey, quickest way to get from Southampton to the Isle of Wight. I find the waiting areas on the small side in both Southampton and Cowes, but bus links are excellent both sides. Buying tickets can be done online in advance, at the ticket booth or at ticket vending machines.

Fast and comfortable passenger ferry to the Isle of Wight with onboard refreshments served at your seat. Takes about twenty minutes. Free bus from Southampton Station for ferry passengers. (They do not carry bikes; for these you have to use the car ferry which takes about one hour.)

Amazing experience. I am registered disabled and I have a walking stick at the moment. The office staff in Southampton were more than happy to provide me with a chair. The ticket lady helped me with my bags to the Red Jet. I was booked in to go back on the 28th July but came back on the 26th July and there was no problems getting back to the Isle of Wight. A+++++

Can't fault the the attention to detail and service. We opted for the Signature lounge and priority loading and were not disappointed despite having to fork out a bit more dosh. No problem booking in, all very efficient. Vehicle loaded as required. Excellent service in the lounge, coffee and a Danish went down a treat. Nice and quiet, excellent view of proceedings (apart from all the outsiders spoiling the view - don't remember paying for that!!🤔. Full marks to all staff for a professional service.

Not a bad experience at all. Pretty swift crossing that takes about 50mins and the kids are occupied enough in that time with just looking out to sea. The price of the food is pretty expensive for what you get, but to be expected when you've got no choice if you want to eat! So if you are watching the pennies, take a pack-up. Staff are friendly enough and the process of getting on and off the ferry has been well honed over the years.

1 main gripe. I bought a replacement camper which was approximately 1m longer and roughly .75 m higher than my previous model. The price difference to travel was over 100% running at approx. £240 for a return ticket. I Understand this was at a prime festival time but why was my particular camper charged so much more than a slightly smaller model? Sadly while I own my current Camper I will be reviewing the ferry prices before considering buying tickets for festivals!

We travelled East Cowes to Southampton on 25th July and were booked for 130pm crossing. During the morning we received 2 text messages advising us our departure may be delayed due to technical difficulties. When we were advised to arrive at port, the staff went to every vehicle waiting in the queue to board, offering bottled water as it was a warm day. Excellent customer service - we were kept informed and looked after. You can't ask for more from a ferry operator, thank you.

Since moving to the Island we've used Red Funnel car ferries and RedJet frequently. A very punctual service on both, crew and shore teams can't do enough for you and will always get you on a convenient sailing if they can, even if booked on a later or earlier car ferry (subject to load factors obviously). Ships are generally clean although when busy the turnaround is tight and things can then slip a bit. Subscribing to My Red Funnel is good to get points and, as an Island resident, discounts as the fares can be steep especially during the day in the holiday periods.

We always use Red Funnel when travelling to the Isle of Wight as they're generally cheaper than Wight Link. Left on time and arrived on time both ways. Busy going out but still had somewhere to sit, and very quiet coming back. Came back at 9.00pm in the evening and very cold onboard, but otherwise usual excellent service.

All in all a good service, on time, nice staff/crew - on the way out we had the older ferry, whilst on way back to the mainland we had the recently refurbed ferry, much nicer, quiter inside, airline type seats & overall airline feel, nice! One issue thought & worrying, the refurbished ferry's tannoy/speakers to the rear inside were not working & the safety announcement about emergencies, lifejackets etc could not be heard, we could hear from at the front of the Ferry but was unclear - this should be fixed immedately! On BOTH earlier & refurbished Ferries the safety signage is very limited, directions of escape in case of emergency, lifeboats & lifejackets locations was unclear, or how to get to them - this should be addressed & fixed immedately! The onboard prices were high, not really necessary?!

It is nice to see that when booking on-line with Red Funnel things can not be easier and the result is an easy transition onto the ferry, a relaxing passage and an easy departure at the other end. Very efficient as always. But I just do not see how you justify charging higher prices on busier days and times of day. If anything your costs per unit carried are LOWER the more units you have on board, not higher. If anything, logically your charges shoud be higher THE FEWER units you carry, not THE MORE. It smacks of rip-off. I can understand why your name stinks with the islanders who are at your mercy, as opposed to us occasional tourist visitors.

It gets you from A to B, not really sure what to review as if you need to travel then you will have very little choice but use this place. Never enough seating, can be cold and just not a place to hang around any longer than you need to but why would you want to?!

Travelled many times with Red Funnel and my complaint is always the same in that the odd person brings their dog into the food area even though as far as I know they are not allowed. I have never seen a member of staff challenge anyone over this. Seems to me a blind eye is turned regarding this.

MV Red Jet 7 is a British high speed catamaran ferry to be operated by the ferry company Red Funnel on its Southampton-Cowes route, alongside the company's other current Red Jets 4 and 6. Constructed on site at the Wight Shipyard where Red Jet 6 was also built, it has been built to a similar specification as its predecessor[1] and was placed into service before 24 July 2018, in time for the surge in traffic over Cowes Week. Red Jet 7 was successfully launched on 6 June 2018[2][3] to undergo system tests prior to being placed into service.

As an Islander I find Red Funnel (Red jet) service from Southampton to West Cowes fast friendly and reliable. There are now 6 passenger Red jets, all used in bussy times such as festivals. Red jet 6 is the latest new addition to the fleet. The journey only takes 25 minutes. Most holiday makers and day trippers who travel on the train to Southampton, are unaware that you can purchase a train ticket say from London to West cowes. Which does include the fast jet. When I need to get to Southampton airport I always buy an open return from West cowes red jet to Southampton airport. There is a bus stop at the West cowes terminal the number 1 bus, will take you to Newport bus station. For onward journeys
