A. S.Lots of facilities and very easy to get around. Some parts of the buildings are starting to show their age though.

A. C.A great place to study with lots of helpful and friendly staff. As other reviewers have noted the 24 hour computer centre is the best feature with the 24 hour section of the library being a close second if you need to study during term time in a quiet place. Good bus links and mix of cafes of varying price levels just around the corner from the university. Just missing one star because during the Easter/Exam period the university gets quite crowded and the bathroom facilities etc. become unpalatable. Avoid during that time. But otherwise lovely the rest of the year.
G. M.It's a real uni, for real students. The main facilities are open 24/7 all year (holidays slightly change) and teachers are the best. I learnt more in one year here than in three years away. Really practical, great service and helpful staff.

The university has received many awards and grants and is distinguished in the field of engineering, science and computer engineering. In 2004 the College of Management building was opened at a cost of 25 million pounds sterling.
The university is based around its three main Edinburgh campuses: Merchiston, Craiglockhart and Sighthill. It has over 19,500 students, including those on-campus in Scotland and others studying on transnational programs abroad and online. In 2016 this included nearly 9,500 international and EU students, from more than 140 nations worldwide.
