Reviews of Wilberforce College
The college has a clear focus on student success and their futures. Their tutorial mentors help each student discover what they want to do in their post college life. The creative digital department was excellent and have made great strides in the skills that they teach students. The teachers of their creative digital courses are excellent with a clear understanding of how to teach students while also managing other aspects of their job.
At my time at the college, Ive had a spectacular time here. All the teachers are really helpfull, Especially, the Creative Digital Department which have helped me learn new stuff throughout the 2 years I have been here. Thanks for the wonderful 2 years at college!!!
even though covid made the experience of college not as smoothly ran as it could have been it can still be said that college was a great experience I obtained the right grades for me and the head of faculty helped me become the best student I could possibly be and the pupils I met along the way where great
The College is a great place to work and learn.
The teachers are great and Expecially love the Digital Media Department who have really helped me through the 2 years of me being there
Even though College was hit with COVID and it wasn't run smoothly as it could've have been worse and I have really great experience and I have obtained the right grades and the faculty of head helped me massively to become a better student and the best I could be as well as meeting some great pupils which definitely helped me along my way of college
They helped me learn so much and I probably wouldn't be doing as well without the teachers I had.
They look after my grandson and are understanding and patient plus he seems happy and enjoying going there, happy to let rest of grandchildren go too
Honestly a great college to go for if you need a wide range of courses. The timetable schedule is laid back and allows you more time to study or hang with friends and all areas have COVID19 restrictions.
I enjoyed Wilberforce College immensely. I found a love for the subjects I studied and I was really inspired and supported by my tutors. They helped me find direction in life and I’m now a journalist. I made loads of friends and enjoyed a good social life too!
I found that in the three years I was at this college (more specifically the art department) I found that it was an amazing place, the staff were welcoming and pushed us to think creativily in both the Fine art and photography classes, as well as the media class. All the teachers work hard to help the students understand and gain the results they want.
The reason I mark it as 4 stars is the lack of funding the art department gets, which I know is not their fault. The staff do try and support the students if they cannot afford some equipment, however the funding for the arts are not sufficient to last the year. But to just make you aware, some supplies aren't cheap, but the moderately cheap ones can sometimes work just as good.
Overall it is a great college, I urge anyone thinking of going there to give it a try! Plus the cafe called Refresh is the best place to go for a hot drink and a chat!
Adapted well to the conditions that covid caused.
Not bad
Good college, quality of teaching in the arts department is great :)
