I bought a 20 min flying experience voucher for my dad and I for fathers day earlier this year. We both flew today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The microlight looked very new and the flight was fantastic. The weather was great, so we managed to spot blackpool, the isle of mann, anglesea, widnes and manchester during the flight. The pilot gave a fab commentary all the way around. My dad wants us to visit there again which basically says it all!

After a lot of cancellations due to weather finally got up there and I can only say it was 100% worth the wait. I Went up for "pleasure flight" (not lesson). Carl was superb, always putting mind at ease keeping you informed of all actions as he was doing them (even though I personally felt comfortable, perhaps others won't). I felt safe and comfortable at all times. Based in a Great location as you will have stunning views whichever direction you travel in. Thoroughly recommended and I will definitely be making a return visit in the near future!! Thanks Carl!!

I bought a voucher for my partner last year and she finally got around to using it today. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to go again. Carl was brilliant, explained everything very clearly, friendly and ensured she was comfortable throughout the flight. Would definitely recommend!

I could not recommend WLMS highly enough! I had a fantastic flight today, with a total star of a pilot, who put me completely at ease with his flying skill & his commentary (you know exactly where you are, what you're flying over, and what to expect..). Everyone should do this...:)

For a Birthday present a few years back I was given the opportunity to fly in a light aircraft local to where I live. I enjoyed the experience of flying low around the Wirral and Liverpool so much (even taking control myself) that I booked a flying lesson the following week. You can book a lesson or experience directly on their website. You're given a phone number to call on the day to check weather suitability. My flight instructor, Carl is very approachable and will talk you through any questions you have. Learning to fly is obviously going to be a challenge and can be mentally draining at times but Carl is very forgiving and always remembers the days of himself being a student. His ability, confidence and teaching method passes over to the student quickly so you feel relaxed and comfortable taking information. There is also a club house at WLMS. Getting to meet other student pilots, exchanging numbers, becoming friends and helping each other out to achieve that goal is a major plus point of the school. I got my Private Pilots Licence around 2 years after my first lesson. The lessons were made a pleasure by Carl and the team and I couldn't thank them enough. What seemed a long shot turned into a reality. Thank you WLMS.

Spot on!! Would recommend to anyone able to sit down an take in scenic views, overland over sea absolutely brilliant. Top-Tip don't wear trainer socks lol chilly ankles.

Having waited over a year to redeem my two hour flight voucher, I can sympathise with all who have been disappointed over the cancellation of their flights, but disappointing as it certainly is, it’s a matter of your safety, and blue sky’s don’t show wind speed at 1600 feet. However, with booking almost a month ahead, that gives you only 12 attempts at booking per year, with each cancellation causing bottle neck with first come first serve when attempting to renew your booking. No easy answer? I’d suggest an option to cancel the voucher for a full refund if say after 6 attempts, your still nowhere nearer having your flight. Luckily today was my day, and I thoroughly enjoyed the two hours in the wide blue yonder. Found the guys polite and enthusiastic.

Absolutely brilliant! Booked as a gift for my partner. Carl the instructor was fabulous, as were all the staff. It’s a really friendly family run place and we had a brilliant time. Perfect- will certainly be going again!

Got a silver Voucher (an hour) as an Xmas present from my parents. Had to book a couple of times but purely due to weather - in the end Carl suggested a day when he'd got a good weather report for. What I though might have been a scary experience (previously done a parachute drop and paragliding) turned out to be completely the opposite. Very calming, great fun and well worth waiting for the right weather. Felt 100% safe in the craft and with Carl (pilot) Carl was very professional, giving me details of what he was going to do, how the craft would react, when I might feel 'bumps' etc. Great communication throughout the flight, answering all my (probably mundane) questions and having a good knowledge of the area. You even get to have a go at steering for a little while. If you've never considered a Mircolight Flight - DO, you won't be disappointed :-)

Great place with great instructors. Very friendly and accomodating to first time flyers. Great views and knowledge of all the landmarks in the area. Would highly recommended to anyone thinking of doing this. One to tick off the bucket list.

I have had only good experiences with west lancs microlight school this was my 3rd lesson, I highly recommend west lancashire microlight school, they make you feel in safe hands and it is truly a breath taking experience one of the things you should experience b4 you die :)
