Completed my first year here and I have to say the teachers are amazing and really helpful, the college pushes you to the maximum of your ability.
my grades when I joined wasn't good and they made me feel confident and helped out massively, and yesterday I got my results and I got a ( D* ).

My time at Monoux has been great, the teaching staff are brilliant and are always willing to go the extra mile for students. Its a much more relaxed atmosphere and has a wide range of opportunities and benefits for students. You can achieve high grades and succeed in this college if you are willing to put the work in and have a strong work ethic.

all staff in the college are very welcoming and and friendly and do their very best at making sure all students feel safe and comfortable in the college environment. Despite reports about local robberies the college security are working very hard at making sure all students leave the premise in a safe manner. The teaching staff at the college are also exceptional and truly care about their students education. Their hard work isn't only in the classroom but also online making sure that we cover just as much content as we would when it class. Overall I can confidently say that Monoux is and excellent college which thrive across all subjects, and offers many opportunities for their students to shine!!

I wanted to express my honest views on this college. This college is absolutely amazing when it comes to teaching, facilitating activities (free gym and sports) and many subject opportunities. As an experienced student who studied here I know that when I went to look at other sixth forms or colleges, I realised that Monoux stood out from the others as sixth forms did not have many subject or course options to choose from, whereas Monoux college provides a variety of subject areas to choose from and study, whether that is A level or Btec. Depending on the student if you are a keen student it doesn’t matter whether you study A level or Btec (both equivalent) universities accept these two specifications as well as meeting the entry requirement for universities course you want to study, So anyone thinking that the college doesn’t have high number of students going to universities and dropping out are mostly because of there own habits they have because a keen student no matter what will do anything to achieve there dreams. The teachers are very helpful and they push you to do well, they give you support throughout, So definitely ask for help if you need it. In terms of social life again everyone chooses their own types of friends and many people at college tend to be more mature behaving than in secondary school. There is Starbucks! Loved the cappuccino they do there. Also there is a smoker area and non smoker area, that’s because the students that made smoking habits before and can’t give up smoking due to addiction, also it’s really difficult for the teachers and staff to follow up everyone who smokes and ban smoking because the students that smoke can start craving for cigarette, which links to aggressive behaviour, so instead they have there own area to overcome there craving, at the end of the day it’s there own personal choice. But the college does provide stopping smoking support for those that want it. There is also mental health support and many more. They have a free gym for students who want to stay fit and healthy, especially a lot of students tend to be inactive and more active on social media, which affects there health and well-being so having a gym for girls and boys is really good. You can go to gym only for girls or boys or mixed. There is also a music to keep you going. The lunch foods are very good with discounts. Delicious wraps, salads, chicken. Again healthy eating for students are encouraged. Unlike other colleges or sixth forms Monoux has a later starting time to college which helps students feel less tired and more energetic to learning. For example imagine waking up so early in the morning to travel to sixth form or college can be exhausting, especially in cold weathers where you want to be wrapped up in your blanket. Now imagine waking up later and feeling more revived knowing you have time to get ready to go to sixth form or college? Another good thing is clothes anyone can dress in an appropriate manner in their own style, rather than wearing suites everyday like most sixth forms and colleges do. For those that do not know the difference between college and sixth from is that sixth forms are linked to secondary schools and colleges are independent. Monoux is both. Btec is NOT low! Btec level 3 is same as A level, the only difference is A level does exams more frequently (imagine doing higher GCSE) and Btec assesses you on assignments and projects (if you enjoy researching, writing, teamwork) you also get to do work experience and the good thing is the college finds work experience for you where ever you are keen to work to add hours to your Btec course! I know a lot of colleges or sixth forms don’t even bother with finding work experience until you go and search it for yourself, which can be very difficult most of the time. There is also respect to religion, so anyone who is a Muslim and need to pray there are pray rooms for girls and boys (separate).
It is a safe are
There are many more to say and this college deserves more than a five star! But I don’t want to bore you out and write a book.

I had a amazing experience at the college for the past year. Especially during the lockdown the teachers were very supportive and did everything they could in their hands to support students mentally and academically. The location is fairly close by, the staff are very friendly too.

I have had a great experience at this college for the past year. Alongside the educational assistance, I have received a range of methods to improve my mental health. They offered an immense amount of support during some of the most difficult times of my life, including during the coronavirus lockdown earlier on this year.
