My whole experience with The London School of Journalism has been fantastic and seamless. The contents of the lessons were thorough and insightful, and the assignments were testing (in a good way) as they made me think about the topic from a wide range of angles. My tutor, Nick Alatti, was responsive, supportive and definitely knows his stuff (!!), providing constructive feedback and additional guidance on all tasks.
Would highly recommend to anyone keen to get into the industry or simply intrigued to find out more about what a day in the life of a journalist looks like!

My experience at the London School of Journalism has been incredible. I took the Freelance and Sports Writing distance learning course and absolutely loved it. The course structure is excellent, with brilliant content and assignments, and working alongside a professional journalist as your course tutor helps your journalism skills develop enormously! Studying at the LSJ is the perfect start to a career in journalism!

The psychological boost of getting my first article published was a great encouragement in the early months of the LSJ Freelance and Travel journalism course, and landing a few paragraphs in The Times during lockdown was a highlight.
I was genuinely surprised to recoup the cost of the course in fees, and to have found publication outlets for all of the articles that I submitted as course assignments. The day after I graduated I was thrilled to receive a commission for a five-page feature in a national magazine.
The support and guidance from my tutor, Dr Gavin Evans, was invaluable. I enjoyed the course tremendously, and learnt an enormous amount about the art, and business of journalism.

I enrolled in a course to improve my writing. It has been really helpful and worth every penny! Gavin’s insights and corrections were really useful and I had a chance to fully understand the most common errors I was making in my English writing and work on them.
I feel way more confident about my writing skills and I have definitely learned a lot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my studies with LSJ. The course was very well structured and comprehensive, and the broad range of assignments called on a variety of skills. I had a wonderful tutor who provided fantastic guidance, insight and encouragement, which was invaluable to my progression. My writing skills have improved as has my confidence to work with commissioning editors, and allowed me to build a strong foundation for future freelance writing work.

The postgraduate course in journalism was very intensive and demanding but I'm happy I started and completed it in record time. I learnt new approaches to writing and new possibilities in journalism. It strengthened my writing capacity, which was my primary purpose for enrolling. In addition, I have gained insight into other aspects of journalism that I had no idea about in the past, like media law. The lecturers were very good and experienced and the teaching method was a good fit for my work schedule. My personal tutor, Nick Alatti, was a great coach and the administrative coordination was excellent. I recommend the school to anyone looking to have a breakthrough in modern day journalism.

The London School of Journalism has been an extraordinary experience, both in terms of training and human relations. I took the Freelance and Music & the Arts Writing course with Nick. The course materials are packed with useful information, engagingly written and overall motivating. Nick has been a fantastic tutor: responsive, constructive, and encouraging. I cannot recommend LSJ enough.

I am delighted to report that I have just successfully completed my Freelance and Feature Writing distance learning course by The London School of Journalism. I have received so much support and I have learned so much in all the twelve lessons. The feedback and information received from my highly experienced and supportive tutor Nick Alatti are highly informative. I am proud to admit that I did manage to get a few pieces published along the way, but what is most important about this course is that it changes how you think about yourself. Instead of wanting to become a journalist, you become one. Strongly recommended.

I recently completed the online postgraduate journalism diploma with LSJ, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to do a journalism course online. I was initially attracted by the 'real-time' approach of the course (unlike other online courses), and indeed the structure and set deadlines definitely helped with my motivation, and the creation of regular writing habits. The course content covered an in-depth look at different aspects of journalism, but also allowed you to specialize in your chosen topic. I have seen a big improvement in my writing and confidence, thanks to detailed feedback from my tutor, and have already had several pieces accepted by publishers. If you are looking for a professional online course that will both push you to do your best and offer friendly encouragement to achieve your goals - this is the course for you.

The Media Law distance learning course has been a great success. I've developed my knowledge and skills over the past 10 months and, with the guidance of my tutor Andrew, scored highly on the final exam. Each lesson is well thought out and guides you through the many different topics that make up the fairly complex course.
