The staff at Langdale Hall were extremely friendly helpful and always willing to help with any problems! They are very easy to contact and any maintenance/wifi issues were quickly resolved in a few days. For its price, it was a very good deal with lots of storage spaces in my room and modern furniture. I had a great stay at Langdale Hall! Definitely recommend :))

Amazing experience to live in a huge castle. I had the best 2 years here I could have hoped for.
The garden the cinema room, and the games room are 10/10 place to find hang around and find new friendships in your life.
The tenants and the office are the nicest people.
Special thanks to Katie, Ged, Rachel and Jonathan for every help.

My daughter lived at Langdale Hall for 3 years and it is brilliant accommodation for students looking for quieter halls of residence. There is a good choice of rooms for reasonable prices in a location within easy reach of the University and all amenities. The staff are, in a word, fantastic! Very friendly and welcoming and very responsive to requests for help. They seem to know students personally and make the place seenlm secure and welcoming, a bonus if you're living away from home for the first time. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are basic but are clean and adequate for your average students. One big advantage is on-site laundry facilities which are paid for with a one off fee at the start of the year. I'm told that the WiFi is really good by halls.of residence standards, a definite plus for all the Netflix streaming....sorry, I mean all night study sessions! Cannot recommend highly enough from a parents point of view, it's safe, clean, friendly and not too great a strain on the budget.

One of the best accommodations I have stayed in.
From the moment I moved in, it has been nothing but smooth. The room itself, a single en-suite, fit my needs perfectly. Whilst the rooms are the the main reason why I chose Langdale, the staff made the experience even better. Some of the friendliest people I have ever met and made my stay even better. I have stayed at accommodations where you were made to feel like just a customer but here I genuinely felt seen and my every need cared for, even down to maintenance. Would highly recommend!

I lived in one of the Naburn/Wellby rooms for a year, then moved into a Langdale Hall Block flat for another year, and had an amazing experience during both years. The staff are very kind, lovely and respond very quickly, and will try their best to make you feel safe and comfortable. They take the COVID-19 regulations very seriously, there are sanitising stations everywhere and there is cleaning staff working every day. The prices for the rooms are fair, and the staff really make staying with Njoy worth it - if you have any issues at all, you can just bring it up with them and they will try their best to fix it. Njoy has been a great, safe and comfortable experience after living in UoM accomodation for the past few years - there is really no comparison there!

I have had such a good experience living here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Katie's dazzling smile at reception never fails to brighten your day!! If there are any issues they are resolved immediately and efficiently. It's a great location for buses around Manchester and close to the universities and the infamous Curry Mile! The facilities are great also - the garden, TV room with table football, study spaces, bike shed. Couldn't have hoped for better.

Easily the best student accommodation in the Manchester Area, very good prices and friendly staff. Large variety of rooms and a lot to offer. All residents can visit any of the facilities including a large garden, tennis courts, TV/Movie room and games room.
Any issues are dealt with including drugs and noise complaints which makes it a relaxing environment for study. Issues regarding the properties are sorted with no hesitation very quickly. Njoy student living rooms also have character and a nice charm to them for that homely feeling. Definitely recommend to anyone, if I was still a student I wouldn't have moved out.

Reception staff are really helpful and friendly, especially Katie and Rachel. My ground floor room in the main building is spacious, comfortable, with plenty of sunlight but gets cold in the Winter with no insulation or radiator in the kitchen. Some rooms have original features and the building is historic and beautiful. The garden is great. Very competitive prices. Washer/Dryer rooms and vending machines on site. Quiet area close to Lidl, Tesco, curry mile and city centre buses.

I stayed here for my 3rd year and enjoyed my stay so much that I only wish I had known about this accommodation from year 1. It was always clean, secure, and efficient and so much more affordable than places offering the same services. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially Katie at reception. Can't recommend this place enough.

Great facilities and all around lovely place to live. Cheaper than on-campus accommodation (MMU) and only a 20 minute walk away from the uni, 5 mins away from a row of shops. Staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and ready to help you with anything. Regular emails are sent from the admin staff informing of anything that will be happening in advance. The rooms are very spacious with lots of storage space, the double beds are very comfy too. Any problems (rarely) and Ged the caretaker will immediately be in touch and on hand to help. The facilities are in great condition and cleaned daily, the courtyard outside the room blocks is great to sit with friends on a night. Overall, I'm quite sad to be leaving these halls now but 100/10 would recommend!

Njoy Student Living (Langdale Hall) has been the perfect student accommodation once I moved out of University halls in first year.
The rooms are a good size with plenty of floorspace even with a double bed. The rooms are also well-priced and a bargain compared to some of the other student accommodation found in Victoria Park. My bed was comfortable and I rarely struggled to get to sleep. Occasionally there can be some noise from other rooms, but this is to be expected in any student halls and depends on who happens to live around you, and the staff insist on quiet after ~10pm during exam seasons. The site manager's number is made available so if there is extreme disruption at any point, he can go and sort it out.
Facilities are good with the option to get a room with ensuite, however I have not minded using a shared bathroom for my three years here. Kitchen facilities are good with all the necessary kit like a toaster, kettle, oven, fridge freezer etc. These are cleaned multiple times a week so they never smell or get very dirty.
On the topic of kitchens, the office staff are great at handling any disputes between students over food theft etc, even going so far as to change the kitchen keycodes to deter thieves.
The office staff have been a great help over the three years, with stuff like collecting my post and letting me know it's arrived by text message or email, letting me back into my block when I lock myself out (oops, thanks Katie!), and even went so far as to temporarily reserve my room for my final year here when I wasn't sure if I was doing a Master's or not. There is also a nice discount for students who stay at Langdale for multiple years.
The location is also great with quick access to shops like Lidl, Superdrug, Tesco and most importantly Wetherspoons only a 5 minute walk away. The University of Manchester is about a 20 minute walk away so there's no need to spend extra money on a bus pass etc.
My only real complaint is minor, which is that the Eduroam WiFi signal in my room was a bit weak sometimes, however I mostly used the Ethernet connection which is very fast at ~100mb/s up and down and has been perfect for activities such as gaming, watching high resolution videos and simply allowing for quick downloads of uni work related files.
Overall, a very comfortable and mostly peaceful place to live and study. I wouldn't have stayed here for so long otherwise :-)

Langdale hall has a wide variety of accommodation types and sizes to fit the needs of any student and as someone who likes to decorate their space and make it home; you have more than enough options to choose from. I moved from my first year accommodation to Njoy and the staff were instantly helpful and they go far beyond in order to ensure you're comfortable and settling in fine; they even helped me move in all of my things. After living here for a year I can fully say the staff are always quick to reply and there if you need them whether it's email or a short walk to the office on grounds. The staff are genuine people that care about you and your needs and treat you as such and will always give a friendly hello. One of my favourite features is that you can send mail to the office so it will always be collected whether you're in or not and it can be easily picked up at your earliest convenience which is great when you spend most of your days at uni. This and many more pleasant features are why I've decided that Njoy is where i'm spending the rest of my uni experience! p.s. there's a games room and a massive cinema room <3

My daughter has lived her for her whole degree at MMU and she has been very happy and felt safe. Staff are attentive and maintenance is done quickly. Rooms are a good size and the gardens are beautiful-all for a reasonable price.

This has been one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed it. The staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. The whole place is relaxed with the help of the beautiful garden to walk around. The building is beautiful with a history behind it. 100% recommended it others as this has made me feel like I'm home.

This is not the traditional student halls you see in Manchester. It's privately own, well preserved and beautiful. Feels like I leave in Hogwarts most of the times. Beautiful spacious rooms and amazing outdoor gardens with a tennis court. The games/cinema room is absolutely perfect with the opportunity to book it just for yourself if you want to. The staff is absolutely incredible. Amazing value for money and great location too, where you do not feel like you are in the middle of a very busy city. Every one of them is extremely friendly and I got to know everyone very easily. Loved leaving here for 3 years and wouldn't have made a different choice if I had to do it again. I will miss everyone here, from the office staff, to the maintenance team, the cleaning staff and Ged hahaha. Absolutely love it here!!! xoxo

Langdale Hall is a brilliant place to live, so much so that I am staying here another year. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the accommodation is cleaned on a daily basis. It is close to takeaways, restaurants, shops, a few pubs and regular public transport towards the universities, the city centre and local nightlife. Also, because it's private accommodation, you get to meet a mix of people from different universities which would be a lot less likely in regular student accommodation. I really like it here, and I'd recommend anyone to come here too.

The staff are wonderful. Very friendly and eager to respond to a query. I was staying in the main building. From here onwards, I will detail all the things that contributed to me not enjoying my stay: 1. Noise. Unfortunately complaining about the noise won't change anything, and this is after all uni halls, so expect noise at random hours of the night and very early in the morning. 2. The heating. I believe that in order to save money, they only turn the heating on for an hour in the winter, and that's about all the heat you can get. Sometimes, if you're lucky, they'll do two hours. Not enough, in my opinion. 3. Water pressure in the main building bathroom. It's really hard to wash off shampoo residue or bodywash, as the water pressure in the bathroom is just so weak. In terms of cleanliness though, I cannot complain. The cleaning staff are amazing. 4. Mattresses. I can only speak for the mattress in my room, but lord knows by the end of my stay I had the springs of the mattress poke at my entire body. I would wake up with a stiff body in the morning as a result of that. Not a fun experience.

I have been at langdale hall for the past 9 months now and have decided to extend my tenancy over summer, due to feeling welcome, respected and secure. The office staff have been especially accommodating with any issues that came up and helped me massively when it came to finding a room last minute and was dealt with within the day. I would suggest Langdale hall to anyone that is looking to be part of a great community!!!

I went to visit here with my daughter who is at UOM. I think It's a fab place for students in a brilliant old Victorian building in a quiet tree lined street, yet close enough to where shops and pubs are and the uni buildings. The only downside I could see was the dining area isn't that appealing or convenient but hey, maybe It's up to you to reorganize the furniture to make it more appealing in those areas.

On entering, the whole grounds are an absolute piece of art with a great atmosphere. The friendly security lady always greets you with such a warm welcome and the staff actually do keep their promises.
Good work guys

Great place overall, you will definitely meet amazing people here from all over the UK. I personally am planning to stay here for a second year. Garden is beautiful and really close to Curry Mile, overall you'll find all you need in this area!

First year of uni complete and I don't think I could have gotten through it if it wasn't for the incredible staff who are so friendly and kind, Langdale Hall itself is genuinely a really nice place - the beds are soooo comfy and the showers are literally better than my shower at home.

Currently renting a place at their Daisy Bank building. Quick replies to emails and was the easiest move I've ever done.
Maintenance crew are excellent when called upon and the grounds are regularly cleaned and mowed.
Thanks Njoy!
