Open to visitors for a small fee (£3 for adults general admission and £1 for students. Cash/card payment accepted). Has a relatively larger campus ground than some of the other colleges. Visitors can explore the outdoor ground, chapel, and the dining hall. They seemed to have cafe as well but it was closed during my visit there. Restrooms available inside.

Really nice people here unlike Christchurch.
We paid 4 pounds for entry - £3 for an adult £1 for a student.
Nice little place to walk around and enjoy the architecture and gardens.
Really lovely place for a stroll. Felt much more personal and nice unlike other colleges where it just felt like an in and out tourist money grab.

Balliol college is one of the oldest colleges in Oxford. I think it just celebrated its 750 anniversary some years ago.
It has a very beautiful garden, a grand dining hall and an amazing library. The best environment one can study in. Highly recommend if you consider to apply for Oxford.

If you were wondering what Hogwarts canteen look like in the real world, this place is a nice representation of it:)

A very pretty college to visit. After Magdalen, it was the second college I visited. Although due to Covid restrictions, some of the internal buildings were off limits, I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful lawn and garden of the college. I found the architecture of the Balliol college very beautiful, and in many aspects similar to the other colleges. The cathedral inside the college is very pretty, and worth visiting.

Nice college and it is accessible to the visitor. It is worth to visit and ticket prices is £3

Visited on the Open Day, lovely to see this historic college, including the chapel and halls.

Nice. Relatively small. No traces of Boris Johnson!

The college is I think only open to visitors outside usual Oxford term times. Very reasonable entry fee - in 2019 £3 basic and £1 concessions. The three main things to see - which are all shown in the photos - are the chapel, the dining hall and the gardens. The porter will give you a short written guide so you can guide yourself around.

Had a delicious dinns in the magical setting you'd expect. I had let them know in advance of my tiresome food intolerances, and my meal was stunning! Massive thank you to the whole catering team. Evening rounded off by excellent chat with very interesting Porter. Such a shame these events don't happen every week ( but I spose we wouldn't appreciate them if they did)!

We entered with 2 adults and 3 children for only 4 £. Including a paper guide. Impressive gardens, buildings and hall.

Ballol College is the one of the Iconics and most antiques Oxford Buildings with Beautiful gardens in an impressive historical Oxford.

Only 2 pounds to enter, well worth it. It is small but beautiful, with a hall and cathedral.

Beautiful college, extra-interesting architectural features if you look really hard, beyond the wonderful, historic buildings. Almost disney-esque in places.

Beautiful college, friendly staff and lovely spring flowers

incredible place. Amazing Chapel and gardens.

Entire campus is absolutely beautiful sculpture. You don't need to know much about histories behind it to experience this beautiful campus. Gardens are amazingly well arranged. Staffs are friendly too.

Beautiful college, yet you are unlikely to see much of it if you do not go here as they do not let the public in much of it. They wanted to use the hall here for the main dining hall in Harry Potter, but the college did not let them use the space so they instead had to use Christ college hall.
J. M.
Nicely layed out tour, and friendly staff. The unexpected organ playing in the chapel was uplifting.

Great place for learning

The University of Oxford is the 2nd oldest university in the world, spanning almost a millennia. It consists of individual colleges that form the university but each self-governing and separate. One of the oldest is Balliol College. Balliol has a large beautiful garden outside to enjoy the sun.
My guide proclaims loudly that the Great Hall of Hogwarts and the Dining Hall at Balliol College as one and the same with one exception: there's no floating candles.

A must visit while in Oxford, you will find resemblance of Harry Porter's dining hall. I learnt that most (if not all) colleges have similar halls.

Easily one of the best thirty nine colleges in Oxford in my opinion.
Y. Z.
One of the most liberal college in Oxford. Sometimes the hall is open to public. Food is average but fantastic environment.

A smallish, although well worth a visit, Oxford college. On weekdays you can get a quite reasonably price lunch at the Hall.

(Translated) Very worth visiting. We didn't do the Raiders. When we passed by, we came in. I didn't expect that there would be heaven and earth. Very quiet, aristocratic, a great place to study.
