Lovely uni, just sometimes so hard to get a bus to city center , too busy

Selected University of Southampton for my masters when I had 2 more offers. Feels like the best decision ever. Good climate compared to the other options I had... Near the sea and London which is a double plus... Good sense of community.... Really enjoying the campus... Mainly the pool and library!

Beautiful campus filled with flora and fauna. Sadly the pandemic means classes are mostly online and students dont really have the opportunity to use the facilities like labs, gym, SUSU building etc. Really wish the uni could compensate some of the already exorbitant tuition fees since we're not using facilities at the moment.

Very well organised Open Day, a really informative and enjoyable experience.

Really nice campus, lots of hand sanitiser stations around (inside buildings at entrance). Nice green areas/ courtyards, has shops and other facilities such as a gym/swimming pool/sporting facilities. Also has a weekly market on Monday mornings during term time (september - early june) with good produce and price on fruit and vege. Extremely busy on campus at the moment though, so moving around is currently much slower owing to people traffic.

Lovely campus with great facilities. It has some lovely hidden nature spots as well as arty feature statues. The buildings are all appealing and not a far walk between any of them!

I visited my alma mater after 5 years and boy, was it nostalgic. Obviously there's nobody there now thanks to Covid and the exams had just finished so there were very few (if at all any) students on campus. The place is neat as a pin as always, perhaps neater because of the lack of thousands of people milling around. The Hartley Library had exactly 3 people inside and I was so overwhelmed- I've never EVER seen Hartley so deserted!

The university of Southampton has a very memorable , attractive and Landmark place in my life. I was a PhD student there from 1st Oct. 1978 to the end of June 1982. I have not forgot any minute of the time duration that I had been there for my studies . This University is my most favourite places that I have been throughout my life. Every aspect of this University , including its campus, programs, faculties, student's facilities, library, dormitories ,...is wonderful and attractive. Really it a great desirable scientific university throughout Europe. I should express that I am thankful and beholden to my supervisors; Dr. A. K. Shahani and late Professor Tucker. I wish all the best successes for the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHAMPTON.

Came with my son, who was interested in Aeronautical astronomical engineering, after spending half a day seeing the facilities and attending some introduction lectures, I felt like coming to university again, actually my son told me that I was more excited about the degree than him. I love the enthusiasm of the head of department Dr Bharat, what a character.

Pretty good campus. ECS buildings are great, there are a good variety of restaurants, shops and even two pubs. The interchange is also useful if you are catching a coach to a different part of the country...

ATN Cars provide private Airport taxi transfers service to international students at university of Southampton. According to students studying here, this is a great place to be and they have a good support network. We pickup/drop off students at their residence hall/private accommodation. Students take advantage of our discount for their Heathrow Airport transfers. University is following strict covid guidelines.

The campus is a bit hard to navigate, but it's definitely beautiful with lots of coffee shops and nice looking building.

I’m a recent graduate of here and if there’s one thing I can say about Southampton uni it’s that that when the lectures end, the banter begins. My lecturer Dr Sparkle, as we called him, always bought his bag of tricks to the lab sessions, I didn’t know how combustible a g- string could be. My exams have been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Mainly lows. Who would have guessed that you have to revise. Tip to all you freshers, you can bring revision notes to the pub, it’s a real blast. Similar to a rapid ride on a log floom, so many twists and turns and before you know it you’ve got a degree. The local bar scene I can describe as “crunchy, with an undertone of deception”. If you’re looking for a sticky floored sensation look no further. My favourite drink is beer. I once cried the toilets of Lime bar because Ethan on the door said I have cute eyes. He’s a real dreamboat. Overall I’ve felt nothing but bubbly feelings since arriving in Southampton. Maybe it’s something in the water. The graduating class of 2018 are by far the best group of ruffians and outcasts this uni has had the pleasure of teaching. Wow, too good, my arms hurt from thinking about the round of applause I would give this place if given the chance.

Good, OK. Nice campus, spread around well. Although, not sure about how they gave numbers to the buildings because it doesn't flow. In fact, tell you the truth the numbering system is "naff". We could not go into some buildings as I was expecting to see some exhibits. Some marshals didn't know the answers to question, eg last bus time. Hence 3 *.... could have been done better. Good tour by Augustine (Medical student). Thank you.

Be prepare to struggle and strive - day and night - if you want to earn your PhD here. The research environment is conducive enough. But, its all yours. The library is there. The workstation is spacious enough. The time to spare for your co-curriculum is all yours. This is a very demanding institution of higher learning. If you think you are sluggish, you better think twice before making your decision. Nothing is easy. Without hardship, nothing will materialised. Trust me..

The library makes a good place to have a stress induced panic attack hours before your deadline is due after staying there all night to get it finished and loading up on caffeine, which is now possible 24 hours a day during term time!
