I have 2 house cats that I take here and am very happy with the service. Very nice and friendly. I've not had to take my cats in for anything than simple checkups and vacs but I'm sure they're great at other stuff. In reception the waiting room even had ledges to put cat crates on so they're off the floor... How cool is that. Of course, they limit access because of covid, but, there is plenty of easy access parking.

The staff at the practice are amazing. I had to say goodbye to my best friend, a 12 year old Labrador and they did all that they could for him and made sure that his final moments were peaceful and comfortable at home. They came out and made the most difficult thing I have ever experienced more bearable as much as it could be. They had treated my boy through his whole life along with his sister and have been helpful, kind , empathetic at every point through his life. I cannot rate this place any more highly and am so glad that my Lab was a patient here. The care was second to none.

I think the only reason I’ve stayed at this vets is because of Michaela the vet - she is absolutely fantastic and puts your mind at ease. I won’t see any others now as I don’t feel satisfied. I’ve dealt with another vet who’s English is very poor and you go away feeling like you’ve spent money for nothing and worry! Some receptionists are a bit rude but most are nice - i don’t like the rudeness, I don’t feel there’s a need for it! Just be nice and kind, if u feel u have to be nasty for absolutely no reason you’re in the wrong job. I was unsure about a few things once and I asked quite a lot of questions and she huffed and looked at me like I wish stupid - which I’d got her name. But if I do experience this again, i will move vets and make a formal complaint. Thanks Michaela - you’re a fantastic vet.

Just wanted to say a big massive thank you to Danielle and her colleagues. My MAX became ill and unfortunately the kindest thing was to have him put to sleep. I miss him so much he was such a character and Molly his sister is missing him also. Max joined the fur baby angels on 17th March 2020 but lives on in our home. The staff at Oakfield Veterinary Group have always been so dedicated and compassionate. I wish them all the best in these difficult times and hope they are all keeping well.....xxx

I was prescribed 2 lots of medication for my dog for fireworks I told them it must be strong I was given gel and tablets they said the gel was really strong it never did a thing for our dog I tried the tablets the day after that hardly had an affect on her too so I wasn't to pleased for wot I had paid,apart from them the staff were really polite

Our large 12 yr old dog Bruno was coming to the end of his life and we contacted Oakfield vets in Castle Bromwich Birmingham for advice. The veterinary nurse Clare was very helpful and caring, explaining our options. Clare helped us to come to a decision and euthanasia for him in our home was the difficult but right choice. At this heartbreaking time for us we needed the help of caring professionals and Oakfield exceeded our expectations. All the staff we spoke to were so kind and thoughtful So to the Vet Emma, nurse Clare, support staff Jessica and Emily and anyone else at Oakfield who were involved in Brunos last days I can only thank you for your kindness and professionalism; you helped make this very difficult and emotional time for us as least as traumatic as it could have been. They even sent a condolence card from the staff along with a paw print of our beloved dog to remember him by.

I only took my old man Alfie to Oakland’s twice. On last visit Alfie had to be put to sleep after struggling to carry on for us. I saw Michaela for both visits and she was wonderful. On his last day Alf was euthanised in the garden of vet so I could stay with him for his last moments. Michaela was so caring and her genuine love for animals in her care came shining through! In fact, all the staff I dealt with were so professional and thoughtful. Thank you for all your support, especially Michaela. I would recommend this vet to anyone who wants the best for their pet.

Had to take my Yogi for quite a lot of treatment lately, Mikaella has been amazing with him, sadly he’s fear aggressive but she’s understood this and we’ve got round it together, really happy with Mikaella’s treatment and care for him, and her aftercare and reassurance when I rang up panicking! Very happy to recommend her and her team.. I have every confidence. Brilliant!

Caring friendly staff. Due to Covid our puppy had to go in by herself for her second vaccination. She wasn't too upset afterwards, which was very reassuring.

I would like to thank Michaela for the loving kindness and care she gave to my dog. My precious best friend Merlin during his last day with us. I asked for honesty about diagnosis and on going treatment. Unfortunately it was not what I wanted to hear. Her love for animals was shown in everything said and did. If there was a 10 star rating for staff Micheala would deserve it.

The vets here are fantastic but I often find that the people on the phone are less than lovely and can make you reluctant to call. I avoided calling and used to visit in person when I needed to but since covid this has become impossible. I have phoned three times since March and each time I have come off the phone feeling upset about how I was spoken to. A word of advice for anyone answering the phone at Oakfield, please listen properly to the client and stop making assumptions when they are speaking to you. You can’t see them and you don’t know what is going on in their lives at the time they are calling you so please be patient and more understanding.

Always used this vets for my pets been with my cat and rabbits and they have always been great with them. When my parents had to take there cat to be put to sleep they sent them a very touching card such a nice touch. All the staff are friendly very helpful and really seem as they care about the animals. I often find with reviews people only leave a good review if they get what they wanted. Did i get what i wanted far from it, I wanted my cat back the way he was smelling of roses he was hit by a car and it was nasty dont want to go in to details. But the work they (the vets and nurses) have done is nothing short of amazing, they have also been very caring, polite and compassionate as of writing this he is still there care but i will be forever grateful.

Looked after our cat Lillie as an out of hours service earlier this year. They were absolutely fantastic, really kind and caring, very empathetic to how we as owners were feeling, and we felt like the care Lillie had was like she was the only pet there! We were given a copy of her medical notes and they were so thorough, it painted a really good picture of how Lillie was doing hourly during her stay. Lillie is now better after the care she received from Oakfield and 2 other vets (due to Bank Holiday out of hours) so thank you :)

I have used this vets for over 40 years and was always very happy with them, but since Ian has left, it just isn't the same. The receptionists and nurses are lovely, but there is a foreign female vet, who , whilst putting my fur baby to sleep two days ago, tutted because she couldn't get the needle into the canula, because after a major seizure, Jodie still was very hyper. I shall still go to this vets, as the other vets I have seen are lovely, but never want to see this particular vet again. I only wish John from the Atherton branch worked there. He is fantastic.

Brought my Border Collie, Suzie in today, she was over 15 years old. Unfortunately we had to make the extremely hard decision to have her euthanised, as her back legs had gone and she really was unwell. The vet, Sergio, I think his name was was excellent. Nothing was too much for him, he saw and felt our pain and made the whole process more bearable. We were both very upset and he gave us time and even a hug each. Thank him please from both of us, he was lovely.

Have been a happy customer with our two rabbits ( Poppy and inks) for a few years and have been in there care plan to help bring the cost down. They get to see the vet twice a year under the plan so take them both January and August for boosters and checks. Poppy was unwell in January so he was checked the same time he had his boosters. He had his teeth done three days later. When he had his August check we were charged £18 because he had already been twice in January. Thought this was a bit harsh because one was for paid treatment. Desk staff not much help, if the computer says no then it's no! Apart from that blip, would recommend.

Has good and bad points sam as all places.will give great care to your pet but we took a stray in who was very skinny and couldn't walk and they told us to put it in a box in the garden to see if it went away.not very nice,took it to vets for pets instead and went to a rescue a few days later

My best mate max had been Ill for most of the weekend .I took him to oakfield first thing Monday morning and i have to say everyone there was first class. ..they could clearly see I was upset and concerned about my dog and they did everything they could to help me ....as I write this I am awaiting results of a blood test they think he will be ok ....would not hesitate to take him there again very many thanks to you all ....

Always took care of our Great Dane, Lily. We moved out of the area two years ago but we've never really found a vet we are comfortable with. We are seriously considering going back. I'd rather make the long journey to Oakfield.
