Reviews of RSPCA Sussex Brighton & East Grinstead Branch

The staff here were incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. They gave us lots of advice and information on the reptiles and really helped us make a decision on the type of pet would suit us.
The staff obviously love working with the animals and are very passionate about what they do.

Wonderful team, so helpful. Just adopted a second dog from the centre and cannot praise the work they do highly enough.

My beautiful girls I rescued from the wonderful RSPCA one year ago, that saved there lives the biggest thank you to you all for allowing me to rescue them xx

I visited the reptile rescue centre here (after booking an appointment to adopt a snake) and the team was incredibly helpful and happily answered my multitude of questions! I bought everything I needed here (the vivarium, heating and lighting, decorations, hides etc.) and they were even kind enough to help me move the heavier stuff to the car. Thank you so much for making the adoption process as pleasant as possible!

Anyone who looks after animals I respect. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to talk to you. We took in 3 lop-eared rabbits over a period of 8 years from here. Unfortunately it is so difficult with their requirements to take on animals from here now I fear the RSPCA will simply put down more animals than can be given homes due to the restrictions. I have 500sq foot back garden, fenced, shed, a run but not able to home any more rabbits :( Steps straight from the car park - reptile area is ok but anything else, no access with a wheelchair. Free parking. Could get busy at weekends as car park is communal - football pitch / playing fields next door

Got my cats from here and they're super helpful and do lots of good work. They were neutered and vaccinated. Also used their cattery. Always good staff and a lovely place to visit just to say hi to the Cats and Dogs.

Great place. Picked up 3 tarantulas today. They do a great job looking after all their rescues. Check out their website and get yourself a new friend.

Great place that I've used for reptile rescue so I can only comment on that side of things. Lovely staff who clearly care. A new site being built to provide more space for the reptiles. I've rescued from here, brought reptile food and supplies. Great deal for second hand vivariums and worthy donations. I like it so much that I have volunteered to help out there.
My rescue reptile is great and came in good condition. In future when I need a vivarium this will be my first port of call also if I consider another reptile I shall see what they have to rescue.

Nice, caring, helpful staff, very focused on doing the right thing for animals, but also new owners too.

Great little shelter. Always have many animals to choose from.
It is relatively difficult to get an animal compared to other places and more expensive however this is to ensure the animals go to good, responsible homes.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

Keen staff working hard to re-home dogs, cats, rabbits etc different animals in all the time. Lovely field to volunteer for walking dogs in the morning.

Amazing family animals also very sad to see all those abandoned animals it quite upset me but the staff there are great and I doing an amazing job the only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 was the fact that they won't let you adopt a pet of your choice you have to fill in forms and once you've done that they decide what age of a dog you can have which I didn't like as you have to make a payment of around £250 so I think you should be able to choose your own pet.

I adopted a bearded dragon recently I give 5 star although because I was providing a forever home I felt the adoption fee far to much.I was made to buy alternative lighting even though mine was what I always have used. That was still ok what was not ok was that they said it was a dion ted rate overall for the items it was £100 yet online I find I could have bought it all for £35 feel a bit cheated honestly.I could have got one from from a pet shop or privately but wanted to do some good and adopt but feel they squeezed the money out of me overall £140 later I unfortunately would not reconsider coming here again .Next time I shall go to raystead.

Wonderful exotic pets section with people who are very friendly and informative. Cheaper than any pet shop for supplies as well. first point of call for any live food.
