We were recommended by a friend to register at this practice some years ago and we don’t regret following their advice. We have four naughty little pugs so naturally spend a decent amount of time here. Most of our dealings have been with Jake and Ben who are simply brilliant. Ben in particular has performed a few procedures on our girls for luxating patella and widening of the nares and soft palate trimming, all to great success. A big shout out also to Jess and Zack too, who we don’t see as often but are always lovely to deal with. Strangely we very much enjoy going to the vets! Front desk staff are also very helpful and bubbly and very assistive with insurance claims and making appointments.

Staff were friendly to me and my pooch. The vet remembered my pet and relayed some history which was surprising. Fully explained certain things and helped alleviate any stress my fur baby may have been feeling. Excellent service with smiles.

It was priced at a affordable rate rather than extortionate! They care for the animals rather than that pound sign and actually are interested in the welfare and state of peoples animals are in and want to better those animals who are in need. Will be recommending you and thank you to the Irish vet for the through examination of my dog and finding the root of her pain. He is a very good knowledgeable vet and I would be very inclined to see him again if needed but wouldn’t mind trying their other vets!

I never had problem with this vet, but this last time I visited The vet with my dog The senior vet was quite rude and he was assuming I could Not pay the bill and that may be my insurance was not going to cover for it. He stressed my out for nothing. At the end my insurance paid for the vet fees My dog is fine.. Very unhappy with the general service this time.

Outstanding vets at this practise and have been with them for over 12 years now and their knowledge, advise and compassion is amazing. Even though we moved out of the area - we would not ever change our vets and will happily travel the distance to see them. These folks rock. They look after all my pets. My rescue dogs are a big problem, one is disabled, the other has appalling luck and nearly died from a hidden tumour. This resulted in a middle of the night emergency surgery. For me this was terrifying. They looked after me as much as my dog, and let me in before opening hours so I could lay down next to her cage as she may still have died. I was checked on, given genuine understanding and my dog was given expert care and LOVE. When she started to recover I took her home as early as possible, incase it was her last week on earth. Thankfully they did a sterling job in surgery, and she survived, and is pain free. I only chose this vet as when I adopted her Dogs Trust insisted we preregister her at a vet. Companion Care is in pets at home, and i was lazy in choosing them. They were closest and not overly busy. But after years as thier client, I'm so glad I was lazy in picking a pet shop based vet. I can't comment much on price, as I haven't compared them to other vets. I wouldn't leave them, even if another vet was FREE. They are that good. Recommend them wholeheartedly.

We love Companion Care - Gloucester, and so does our dog. He will run faster than his legs can take him into Pets at Home, past the toys and straight to the back where Companion Care is situated. The staff team in general are caring, kind and knowledgeable and are as helpful as they can be. The Vets, I have been in contact with all of them at least once Jess, Jake, Zack and Ben have all amazing, but Ben has become our Vet that we see all the time. Our dog has quite a few health issues and he has been with us the whole way, doing surgeries, referring where needed from personal experience with the same family of dog breed of his own to go by. He is calm, patient and understanding of my dog, his problems and also us as dog owners. I am a anxious dog owner, he is my little baby, and Ben has done everything he can to keep me updated when in a surgery etc, he will answer emails efficiently and call when I need advice. Daisy, one of the nurses is amazing as well, she has a great bond with our dog as well, she knows his needs as well as we do, and she has given us extensive help and guidance with our insurance claims and any questions we may have. Overall, Companion Care - Gloucester are a 5 star vets in my opinion, prices are high but aren't all vets?! so this isn't anything against Companion Care. The staff make my dog feel at home and safe and that's all I can ask for! Thank you guys!!

I rang CC for a second opinion which turned into an earlier appointment being needed as he was unwell. Ben was great. Very friendly, helpful and caring. Explained all my options to me and broke down the price. The care plan is excellent particularly as I have 4 rabbits, being able to pay monthly and being able to spread the cost is brilliant, and knowing they are protected, from disease, fly strikes is such a relief... I travel the 14 mile round journey to this vets rather than use the vets in my town. I do this because the care my pets receive is outstanding. This recent visit I brought our new puppy for a quick check over as vaccines weren't due for another month. She had a thorough health check,it was not rushed at all. There was plenty of time to ask questions and have things explained to me. There was no charge for the visit and a free advocate treatment. Neither was I expecting, however it was really appreciated. Used these guys for our dog, we’ve had emergency care at the drop of a hat for seizures and when he ate a sweet corn husk. Care is impeccable! After his seizure, we dropped of a really sick dog that looked a state (he’d been in kennels and was not in a good way) he stayed in For tests all day, when we picked him up he had been cleaned up, and it was obvious that the staff had spend time and care on him. They’re just as great with short visits for check-ups and vaccinations too.

My dog has been in quite alot since she was a pup and they have made the effort to get to know her and ask how she's been doing when I'm in. I wouldn't expect them to recognise her by name and her history there with how many animals they must see but they are amazing!

I rarely write reviews, but I am so impressed by Companion Care that I wanted to. The reason I started taking my puppy there was because they have a puppy package, which was a cost-effective way of getting first injections etc. I was then planning on taking her to my usual vets in Stroud. I thought that because it was part of a chain, it would be ok, but not excellent and didn't expect it to be such a personal service. How wrong was I? All of the staff are excellent and I have received great service and have no qualms about recommending them. If I could put up with my cats wailing from Stroud to Gloucester, I would take them there too.

My best buddy is a lion head rabbit,the fact that they are very unpredictable,that they hide their illnesses very well,i am very pleased that companion care Gloucester accommodated us with an emergency appointment on a busy sunday,and its not the first time that it happened,several times they listened to my concerns,regarding how i feel,that its an urgent situation,that my rabbit needs to be seen asap,or the fact that they also considered my opinion regarding post op usage of pain killers. From the administrators to nurses and vets i am so pleased with all of them,the amazing knowledge about a not so common pet its astonishing, the empathy they carry in their hearts,not even one question,one concern was left unattended, unaswered. Dealing with losing a pet its hard,but the vet was there for my rabbit Blue who unfortunately passed away from GI stasis and for me who took it really hard,she was so lovely you could clearly see that she choose the right profession,unfortunately i cannot remember the female vets name (gorgeous blond)😊, After Blue I've got my lion head Benjamin and he was seen once by vet Jackob and vet Benjamin both amazing vets,amazing knowledge and amazing animal and people skills ,i cannot praise the staff at companion care vets Gloucester more,whatever i say its an understatement.YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING KEEP IT UP😊
