Fabulous vet, best I've known in all my years. Ian has been our vet since moving to the area and looked after 3 of our dogs. Unfortunately we lost 1 little one in April but Ian had literally tried EVERYTHING to help her! He is so calm and even our 13 year old collie (who hates all vets) is calm and no shaking. I likened Ian to a "dog whisperer" the first time she met him. It was the first time in her life that she wasn't panicking when a vet touched her. Very impressed and would recommend to anyone.

We rushed our goat in as an emergency... after loosing 1 the day before. He squeezed us in between appointments and put our minds at ease whilst answering all our questions.. and treating our goat quickly without upsetting him, he was so gentle and thorough. Very professional and honest. We was that impressed we booked our other 2 goats in for a check up the next day on the way out. ☺️

A down to earth caring vet. Saw my cat out of hours before we were even Registered with him. My cat was suffering and I didn't want to extend that by a 50 min drive into Lincoln. Allowed us to do the best for my 🐈 at the end of its time. A gentleman.

Lairds was recommended to me by alot of my friends, yesterday I needed an appointment for my new puppy, even though I wasn't registered with them, they seen marley that morning.Both vets were so welcoming, and helped me with some food issues. He may have not liked the injections but he is now bouncing around like he normally does. I will definitely be using this practice for everything now 😌

From the time we stepped through the door we were greeted with a friendly receptionist. Ian ( the vet) took time to explain everything and our choices with our beautiful staffy. We are very grateful. The surgery is very clean and the prices are very reasonable. We would highly recommend.

Had an appointment this morning for Jake. Cant thank Ian enough for his care and reassurance. Hope he will take it as a compliment if I compare him to Peter Wright the Yorkshire vet on television. A good old fashioned down to earth vet, and a gentleman. Not surprised that people travel many miles to take their pets to see him.

Our field spaniel, Barney was in agony, shaking with pain and unable to use his back legs. After spending half of day trying to get our usual vet to come to see Barney, we called Ian for help in desperation. We never met Ian before and we were relieved and humbled to see this gentleman going out of his way showing so much care to our injured pet! Within an hour Barney was having all necessary interventions and Ian and his team worked until late at night to save him. Within two weeks Barney made a full recovery. It goes without saying that we changed vets! There are no words to describe how grateful we are for Ian’s kindness and dedication! Ian is an outstanding professional and a true gentleman! Highly recommended!

I was on holiday with a very sick dog. The vet went out of his way to fit me in at 7 30pm he did blood tests and got the results back to me at 9 30pm the same night. I would highly recommend him.

You are such a great vet and man! On many occasions you have dropped what you've been doing to see injured animals and I'm so thankful for that. You and your family saw our male cat when he'd been in an accident and you made us feel reassured and you cared for him like he was your own. I took my dog to another vet who had her on their table and examined her for 1 1/2 minutes and they said there is nothing broken but I will give her an injection and a course of tablets ,if she is still the same in two weeks bring her back, they charged me £50. I was not happy with their prognosis ,so I went to ian Laird, he put her on the table and within 10 seconds he said this should not be like this, its broken but it would have to be done by a specialist who did a great job.10 out of 10

Iain treated our 13 year old cat, Flower, on the day she returned home after she had been missing for several days. She was underweight and had an unknown mouth problem which left her unable to eat and barely able to drink. We've just collected her today and you'd not think she'd had 8 teeth extracted or been so poorly. I'm so pleased we found Iain the vet, I feel our pets will be in safe hands with him and his team. THANKYOU from a much happier, healthier cat and her humans :)

My lab became very ill on a Sunday with what turned out to be haemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Iain Laird's compassionate and knowledgeable care proved invaluable, in fact the next day you would not have believed she had been so unwell. Iain has a lovely calm and quiet manner around animals. I've got 27 disabled dogs from all over the world. So when we moved to freiston it was so important to me to be able to find a vet that I can trust and rely apon. Having so many disabled dogs. You are at the vets on a regular basis. Cost is very good at Ians But he also cares a great deal. His knowledge is wonderful too. His daughter Francesca is also a vet and is amazing just like Ian so I now have two vets I can see anytime. Great treatment and great prices. We work as a team because I know so much about paralysed dogs. But I really couldn't run my rescue with out this amazing vets. The whole team there are second to none. .

Ian is wonderful vet. Shows care and compassion for his clients pets and strives 100% to help them get better. Plus reassures you his there if your ever worried. The practice is like a good old fashioned vets practise. Reminds me of the series "All creatures great and small" for those who remember. !! Very experienced and qualified. Out of all the vets I've ever used locally and beyond I can honestly say none of them come close to this practise. Its all about the animals and not charging you a fortune so they can compete to see who has the best built practice. I have lots of pets and his helped my cat Panda many times. 🙏🙏👌 Mr S Smith

I could not ask for a more caring & considerate vet. Ian has been my pets vet for approx 30 years or certainly as & long as he has had his own practice at Sandy Bank, New York & I would & do recommend him very highly to all who mention vets to me. He has looked after both cats & dogs for me & given them excellent care. He is also very mindful of my situation as I'm wheelchair bound & have to get someone else to take my animals so he phones to let me know what tests & treatment etc are required .

Ian is a fantastic vet. I have used him for over 10 years. Many years ago my dog got run over. Ian came from a dinner party to my house and tended to my little boy. Thankfully he went on to live until he was 18!!!what other vet do you know that would do that?? Sadly I had to make the decision to let him go many years later. Ian came to the house very early in the morning put up with my uncontrollable sobbing and treated my boy with dignity. Latterly we had to make this awful decision again recently for my little girl who was 12. Ian tried his best but she was too poorly and we had to let her go. Another heartbreak ! I now have two little boys who Ian looks after and will be using him hopefully for many more years with these two. I would recommend him to anyone. Unique find!!

This isn't your typical vet, it's a portacabin which is a tad untidy and small BUT Ian Laird is wonderful, knowledgable, no nonsense, highly respected, compassionate vet who came highly recommended and we ( although initially were taken by suprise) haven't been disappointed.
