My dog has been here for emergency care and for a general appointment when my usual Goddards couldn’t fit me in. I’ve also received medical advice by phone. I always feel like he’s in good hands here. The vets we’ve seen have been caring and considerate. The reception staff are friendly, really helpful and always welcoming whether by phone or in person. I personally feel this plays a huge part in dealing with vets. I’m considering moving his care here permanently even though it’s a 50 minute journey.

It's very early days for us, because we just brought one of our dogs in for a medical check, as we intend to use Stone Lion for both of them going forward. We will post additional comments, if relevant, once we have had the opportunity to further assess the service, but today's experience was excellent, and we couldn't fault any aspect. We chose Stone Lion based on personal recommendations by pet owners we know and trust, and our experience today confirmed everything they told us about the friendly atmosphere, caring Vets, and the quality of the advice given which creates confidence that you you will be putting your pets' health in good hands.

Thanks for seeing our cat last minute with urgent eye inflammation, who wasn’t even registered there. She was given different eye drops and will be sent quickly to specialist if needed.

An excellent practice. I had a serious problem with one of my dogs on New Years day and they were able to treat and operate immediately. I look back across all of the care that they have provided and, even with hindsight, I see that they provided clear advice about our choices and professional execution. Very pleasant to deal with as well. I moved to this vet a while ago when my previous vet practice was bought by a bad chain.

An excellent vet practice. I’ve always been able to get an appointment at short notice and there’s someone there 24/7 in case of emergency. The vets and nurses are extremely thorough, and genuinely seem to care about their patients. StoneLion may be fractionally more expensive than other vets in the area, but for me well worth it for peace of mind. (Some other practices don’t have an overnight service and can’t even keep animals in overnight and have to transport them elsewhere, regardless of how sick they are! StoneLion don’t do this and have staff on the premises 24/7). PS - I can’t help noticing that a whole batch of recent 1 star reviews below are from people using more or less the same wording. Many of them have only ever written that one review or have also (coincidentally?) also all given a glowing 5 star and similarly worded review for a particular mortgage broker!! Bit suspicious eh? I smell a vendetta of some sort !

My cat was treated by the vets at Stone Lion very sucessfully! She's a happy kitty now thanks to the perseverance and affection showed by the vets and staff towards her. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a thorough and professional service. So happy to have lovely Daisy back in my arms! Thanks Team Stone Lion! :)

I recently took my cat to here, she was seriously ill and sadly had to be put to sleep. They were really lovely, they helped my 4 year old daughter say goodbye to her, the vet helped her understand what was happening and was so sweet to my little girl when she was crying. And we got really sweet momentoes of our little kitty to remember her forever! Thank you 😊

Had to rush my little Maltese shih tzu 6 years in for urgent appointment this morning. appears it is viral gastroenteritis he has always seen Adam Quigley who is just superb with him.I've always had good service from stone lions and found them always to be very pleasant very helpful and have my dogs interests at heart.

We were very impressed at the professionalism of the staff and care our cat received at Stone Lion today. Tania & Annette from the reception team were great in guiding us in the process of switching and to retrieve our cats’ records from our previous surgery and secured us a double-slot booking for the initial consultation with Julie Johnson today. Julie was very thorough in her consultation and was receptive to our concern that ours cats had been eating the Applaws recalled food linked in the recent spike in cases of pancytopenia amongst cats. She was patient, answered our questions and gave us practical advice on what we should be doing. She also prescribed a course of treatment for our cat who had been off her food for a few days and running a slightly high temperature. This is the best vet consultation we have had in eight years!

Thank you to the team at Stone Lion Wimbledon! My dog developed cataracts and managed to lose sight in both eyes for a week. However with the help of Sally Turner and the team they managed to save one eye and she's able to see the world again! The whole process was loving! When we dropped her off they called in the evening to let us know she was all tucked in bed and offer reassurance she was looked after even allowing if we needed to call through the night. In the morning they called again when she woke to let us know she was going into eye surgery. Once the surgery was complete we picked her up. It was months after this the constant pampering and looking after her ensuring the eye would heal well. The team was so supportive and helpful with any questions we had. Thanks to the team Rosie is seeing the world again. :) Thank you to all the team at Stone Lion for such great support! Would highly recommend them for all your flurry friends needs.

For any pet lover, please be advised that Stone Lion is a Veterinary Hospital and not like your local vet. Its good to have your local vet separate to the hospital as otherwise you run in danger of always seeing a different doctor if your pet needs special attention during illness. Stone lion are very helpful and professional and caring but as its a hospital you might end up like us with 6 different doctors or more for the same issue. so good to have your local vet separate. I hope this information is helpful.

This clinic is simply amazing. My daughters little dog got savaged by an unknown dog today and the vets here were so kind. They did everything they could but he had to be PTS. The kind way they treated my daughter went beyond anything. Thank you so much especially the young female vet.

Really great staff and service. Our cat fell off the window from the third floor and was majorly injured and needed a full surgery to close him with 30 stitches to save as much tissue as possible. We ran there on a saturday as our usual vet was closed. They took such a good care of our little cat and in such a speedy time, giving us frequent updates and ultimately saved his life. Thank you SO SO SO much!! (oh, fair prices too and very understanding!!!)

I’m giving this review as unfortunately despite calling ahead to confirm, I travelled 45 minutes to collect my dogs medicine only to find out it hadn’t actually arrived and it had been a waste of my time. However, in my opinion accidents happen and mistakes are made and that’s life! What warrants a 5 star review is the effort the staff made to get the medication to me the next day by having them sent to a vets closer to me. The staff were very apologetic and did everything they could to get me the meds ASAP. Accidents happen but the way they’re dealt with afterwards is what counts. Thank you ladies!

When our cat was recently unwell he had an emergency appointment and admission to Stone Lion hospital in Wimbledon and cannot fault their care and service. We arrived out of hours and were seen immediately. We were constantly kept informed of his progress by the vet, including a daily text to update on how he'd been overnight. The speed of investigations and treatment, and the openness of clinical discussions and options should be the envy of the NHS. Louise (the resident vet) was fantastic throughout and after his admission. He was promptly referred to the RVC for specialist care. His ongoing treatment, provided by Goddard's (Kennington), has continued the highest standard of care and service - they have always accommodated him for an emergency review when again he became unwell, and they kept us informed of his results and progress along the way. We always felt part of the decision making process. Anna (lead vet in Kennington) is fantastic - truly caring and compassionate, and reassuring as a 'patient' to be in the hands of. The nurses at both centres are great - knowledgeable, caring and accommodating. We are very happy to have Goddard's as our local vets and to recommend it to others.
