Our experience with PDSA was quite pleasant. We didn't have to wait very long. We were given medication for our pet, and advice on how to give the treatment. We extend our humble gratitude to all of the team. You are much appreciated 🙏 ❤

No doubt about it, the PDSA is a god send. And donate all you can possibly afford when you go. My only criticism is the covid restrictions are very extreme given that omicron variants are mild (as reported by scientists and doctors across the world. Best source of global info is Dr John Campbell on YouTube). But it doesn't detract from the excellent work done by this charity.

Best animal hospital around, friendly staff. Identified my cats issue straight away and quick to help my cat feel better with meds, booked operation within 2 weeks very good service. First time visiting this vet. I didn't even know they existed. The vets were brilliant, down to earth and had a genuine care for the pets and respect for the owners. It is very cost effective too One of our rabbits had to be sedated but she us now back home, happy and healthy.

On Sunday, we needed to end our dog's suffering from 2 large tumours. It was carried out with the minimum of discomfort to the dog and also to us. I felt pleased, whilst upset by the experience

The vets and nurses here are wonderful and genuinely care about animals. They do not try and get you to have unnecessary procedures and they are compassionate and patient, understanding how precious my babies are to me. They unfortunately have to put up with some obnoxious, abusive, self-entitled ingrates as I witnessed today - and they handled it politely, calmly and professionally. Thank you for your dedication in difficult times.

Fantastic place. Staff so helpful receptionist is such lovely lady. Place so clean, and they have worked hard after covid to allow us in with our babies now, which would have cost , seperate booths etc in waiting area. I just wish more people would be kinder with donations. Great animal hospital. Ive watched people go in, receptionist asking those on low income would you like leave a donation, them saying yes after pet been seen, then walk out and leave no donation. Well they will be lost if PDSA closes down. So please be generous, a normal vet would cost you a fortune. Be kind, think what would happen if you could not afford a normal vet and you have no insurance! Our animals are precious. Often i buy tins of roses etc, individual wrapped cakes etc for the staff as a thank you just for being them and looking after/ treating my pets.

What a difference from the private vet 😱 The manner of the vet was sooo much more kindly and reassuring. I didnt feel rushed like I was at the private vet, or like my questions where silly. Thrilled with the whole service from first phone call to leaving with amazing help. Always overwhelmed by the standard of care provided and the friendliness of the staff. Great professional set of Doctors who saved my Santana's life and gave him 3 surgeries to fix his leg and groin after some serious fractures sometime ago. There's not enough words to say how grateful I am to all the wonderful staff at this PDSA they are all ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL especially after my dog Teddie and fell off the bed and really, really damaged his little right paw. Jackie was absolutely wonderful to me last night Wednesday and sent me to VET NET in harrow they're the out of hours emergency vets whom I have to say they were too so kind, caring and wonderful because Teddie isn't just a dog he's my Assistance dog and he is always by my side 24 hours a day 7 days a week he never leaves me. So a massive thank you to all you are ALL TRULY WONDERFUL PEOPLE at the PDSA in Hendon and the staff at vet net in Harrow. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my little baby Teddie 🐶🐶❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗 picture of my baby Teddie sleeping and resting and is on the mend. An amazing charity that has appropriate policies in place for these hard times. all services here are provided by people that care about your pets health and wellbeing in general. The prices here are very affordable which is great not only for people with low income with pets but also for the pets themselves. They shouldn't have to suffer because people are poor. Cannot praise this magnificent team of Superstars enough. Thoroughly professional, helpful and thoughtful. Recently had one very sick and poorly LouLou my staffy and my World, I was at my wits end but could not have put her in better hands. She had emergency surgery, I was put at ease and contacted as soon as she came round. Picked her up and she's resting up and healing nicely.God bless all the angels that make Hendon PDSA. Great vets my bulldogs eye was ripped open, it looked really bad.half of his face was hanging to one side. The vets operated on him and now you can't even tel that anything happened to him, there's no scars or marks. Its like it never happened!

For a charity based organisation they are too demanding. Appointments are never on time. A family member who's cat is not well had to pay £20 for phone consultation that is ridiculous, people on benefits do not get extra money for having pets.

We managed to get an appointment during the pandemic. Our cat was sick and hadn't eaten for a 5 days. We thought poisoning, we were told no lumps and were sent away with anti acids! No blood tests offered to find the cause. We had one very sick cat & thought we were loosing her and needed further investigation. Luckily she pulled through. We we're delt with quickly as possible with no other investigation offered. If we had gone private more tests would have been done. Not enough care/investigations offered for those on a low income.

Hendon PDSA pet hospital is a lovely, friendly and caring environment even in the middle of covid-19. They got my cat Bouncer in to see him within the hour. Sadly I had to let my 17 year old boy sleep forever. The vet lady who saw him (can't remember her name) was very professional and caring lady so thank you to all the staff that are working hard to keep all our pets safe and healthy.

Wonderful vets, lovely staff members, lots of appointments available. Parking is free before 10 am, so worth trying to get an early time slot. When your on a low income this place can really help you make sure your pets are healthy and happy.

I initially had a bad experience which was over 4 years ago. It seems that the receptionists have changed and they are very polite, nice and helpful. The receptionists are very caring and you can tell they care about animals. The vets are very nice, easy to talk to and explain everything well and again can tell they genuinely care about the animals. During this hard time with the virus they are only taking emergency appointments and there is a bit of a wait but that it totally understandable. I think if you can go here it's definitely worth it.

Although the staff are kind and caring, l felt let down by not being told that the meds l was given for my dog and then rabbit,may not work. A month later, my dear old 13 year old staffie had to be euthanized there due to his advanced heart failure pills no longer working. 4 days later, l had to take our delightful 3 year old bunny there with a respiratory infection. I was given 14 days of medication for him,but only 5 days later l found him dead. In 9 days,l lost 2 beloved pets. I don't blame the vets,they did their best and l know rabbits go downhill super fast, same with heart failure, but l would have been more prepared had l been told that neither pet may respond to the medication they were prescribed and to be ready for the worst.

Very kind everything explained clearly, not rushed they do like a contribution of £20.00 On your first visit thereafter other visits what you can afford. There is a list of contributions of what they would like you to contribute if any procedure required it's what they suggest but if you have not got it just what you could contribute. I took my dog and this is what I was given. I will pay £50.00 they our fine with that. Still good if you need them and you really love your pet.

We are really happy with them. Our dog was seen for a check up and then admitted a few days later for investigations. They were very helpful and explained everything. The medication he's on seems to be kicking in.. If you are on certain benefits you can get treatment at a reduced rate. Staff are really helpful and friendly..

Very good. I picked up my mothers cats medication. I must say I pay usually 70%more then she would for my vet bills. But visiting pdsa today made me think, the staff here were great! I wish all private vets were the same. However years ago when I was only a young teenager ( 13 ) growing up in a tricky environment, my cat had kittens and my mum wasn't 100% mentality to support even her self. I walked an hour and a half with my beloved cat in a basket with 5 new kittens. ( I am aware cats should be neutered, but what are you to do as a 13 year old with your parent unstable to help...) I walked all the way to pdsa for help knowing my kittens were at deaths door( I believe worms,"are 3 weeks old) I was absolutely horrified. I begged got help to save my dying little kittens. The reception lady told me NO, as my cat should be neutered...I explained my situation that I am underage to earn money and support my cats let alone my mother...... I begged her to help, she said no even so you have 5 kittens there. .. and one cat. The cat her self was registered but I was over the limit with her having 5 dying kittens. I said, what am I to do .... just wait for them to die.... she said well that's up to you, unfortunately you already have 3 registered and with them kittens theres an extra 5. I cried all the way on my long walk home. Very, very sadly my kittens did die in front of my eyes and there was know where or know one who could help me. I was skared to say the least growing up hearing the word PDSA .... I always made sure I went to the most pricey ( I was now a working adult with my own income) just to make sure I never relive this day again. Until today, when I realised I pay 70% more than Pdsa would charge, and get less of a service now days. Maybe the hears of reception had changed their staff....

Very friendly staff in the surgery. They take their time with you. So you can get all the information you need, to keep your pet safe & well looked after. The nearby parking is on a time restricted road. So make sure you park in a correct pay by parking bay. You def don't want to get a ticket as the surgery is right next to a school. So is checked regular.

Brought in a cat I found on the street who had lost the use of his legs. The service was excellent. Been a few times, unfortunately a very receptionist has spoilt my visit in the past. However one of my cats died here as they didn't make it after a serious operation. I'll always remember the vet who phoned me and was so upset, crying with me. She called me the next day to check up on me and remembered my cat when I came in a couple of years later. Genuine animal lovers dedicated to their job.

They helped muffin, my mum's cat, when she fell off the balcony and injured her kneecap. 3 weeks ago her kneecap operation went well and now she is free from pain relief, crate rest and she can roam around our home freely again. The pdsa is easy to find and has parking space but not it's own car park. It is enclosed away from the main roads. The waiting time isn't too bad and the reception is good. You have to pay a small amount for the yearly booster shot. The vets are good at their job. The waiting area is ventilated and has water for dogs and a weighing machine. The area is big enough. There is a bathroom. It is mainly quiet except for dogs usual noises and people seem friendly.

The PDSA is, of course, a charity and offers heavily-subsidised, even free, treatment if owners' personal circumstances make that necessary. Hands in pockets, wallets and purses please. This place is proof that your money will be put to excellent use.

I spent quite a few nights calling the out of hours emergency service, everyone I spoke to were absolutely brilliant, they listened, they cared, they were patient and understanding, they gave me heaps of reassurance and put up with my many phone calls and went through all the waves of my concerns without making me feel too terrible for wasting their time. Everyone I spoke to were amazing, and got me through some worrying nights. I can't thank you all enough. Sadly the cat I was caring for didn't make it in the end but to all the people who worked nights in the last few nights, who listened and chatted to me in the early hours of night - thank you so much. Your support was outstanding and I don't know what I would have done without it. And to the vets, and really everyone I spoke to. kind and they really care.

10 years ago had a very sick puppy that other vets didn't give much hope of survival at 4days old. A very special lady cuddled him (Jackie) and other members of staff worked tirelessly to save his life he is 10 yr and 9 months and has a foot injury Can we come back . he doesn't like the other vets.. Brought a friend who has very low income and they treat animals for free (hoping for a donation) if you receive housing benefit. It's great that there is a safety net for these people who have pets that couldn't afford a regular vet. Not impressed by some of the people in range rovers getting the pets done on the cheap or receiving housing benefit! The service at the PDSA was 1st class.

Amazing staff. Awesome pet care by dedicated God sent people. My miniature Yorkie was very sick. This was an emergency. I am not on any benefit but they were prompt and fast. It was treatment first, Questions later. My baby, Bella pasted on. The staff did all they could. I was distraught and in shock. They were so sympathetic and supportive. These people (mostly unpaid volunteers) do their absolute best for pets of clients on a low income. Thank god for services like this as there’d be many sick animals suffering due to owners not being able to afford private vets. Clients that benefit from these services must donate though to keep them going. Even if you have no cash to donate but have some spare unopened pet food to donate, take it along, it all helps!

So caring and professional. The receptionists, nurses and vets all have a wonderful and caring attitude to our beloved pets. This PDSA just saved my dogs life. She was bleeding internally due to ruptured spleen with large tumour attached, both of which were removed successfully after a tricky operation. They do SO much for people on benefits, who couldn't otherwise have a pet due to the cost of high vet bills. GOD BLESS YOU PDSA. To visitors - Don't forget to leave a much needed donation -- what ever you can afford because without donations, PDSA would not survive and you wouldn't be able to afford the bill, if a much loved pet, needed medical attention. Also, if you are visiting, kitchen rolls, towels, water and feeding bowl donations are also appreciated. You need to be receipt of council tax and housing benefit, disability etc to qualify for PDSA veterinary services. If you are visiting PDSA in Hendon, by car, watch out for the dreaded traffic wardens 😈. They walk past at least twice a day and don't care how poorly your pet is, they just slap a ticket on your windscreen. Ps. The PDSA is always very busy with both dogs and cats, so if you have a rather nervous, unfriendly dog, make sure you put a muzzle on before entering the reception / waiting area.

My cat has cystitis and we took him as an emergency. We were seen extremely quickly and the vets and nurses there are very caring and knowledgeable. The only issue if travelling by car is they now have parking tickets which you need to call to pay for, which doesn't help when your on a very low income and going to the Pdsa for vetinary treatment, and you have to shell out extortionate prices for parking. Which by no way is this the PDSA's fault. Fantastic service

Best advice is for someone to remain in their car and be prepared to move if a warden morphs into the road. They have an uncanny knack of simply appearing as if they have been teleported from nearby Golders Green !

I took my cat Amber to PDSA Hendon she was extremely poorly being sick all time I rung them and they told me to come straight away was seen by a loving caring vet which explained Amber did have an extremely large tummy which wasn't right so they gave her pain killer and said to come back Monday for X Ray and scan ..she was seen on Monday vets called me as soon as they finished and explained in great detail what was wrong and put her on steroids and I go back Monday I'm so happy I caught this on time and thank you PDSA for all your kind support you all do a amazing job with all the animals I'm so glad Amber is now feeling a lot better and finally no sickness..being on steroids
