Our dog had a sudden eye infection on a Sunday when our usual vet was shut. Upon contacting Medivet (our usual vet’s recommended out of hours surgery) we were able to get a same day appointment, meaning our dog could get urgent relief to his inflammation. We were extremely happy with the level of service received, as well as the reasonable pricing. We would be very happy to use Medivet again should the need arise.

Such friendly and caring staff, very understanding and always take such good care of my kittens Ninja and Felfel. They're always happy to answer questions I have and give expert advice over the phone. We're new cat owners and they're always so accommodating. I could go on for ages. The best practice. They saved my dog's life when she was a puppy and providing exceptional care for her now when she got another life-threatening condition. Can't recommend them highly enough. Just google their surgeons and you may find some articles in the top vet publications.

Having taking Porter our cat after having a cut and a swollen paw, he was seen by Doctor Louis, who was incredibly compassionate, patience and warm towards Porter. He got given antibiotics and anti inflammatory, and was soon after on the amend. Doctor Louis treated our cat with so much care and love, a gifted doctor 🙏🏼 much appreciated!

My poor cat was hit by a car, he needed a 24hr vets. I normally go with the RSPCA but unfortunately they've all closed down due to COVID. This vets not only helped my Timmy but also helped me with the vet bill and I will forever be grateful. We had to have our beloved Jack Russell put to sleep on New Year's Day. Because of the Bank Holiday, our normal vets was shut and we had to come to Richmond. Although we couldn't go into the surgery - and we didn't know the vet - the treatment our dog Jacob received was sensitive and kind. We were able to be with him right up to the end, as the vet came out to us in the car. Jacob stayed on my lap throughout and we were able to stroke him and talk to him until he slipped away. Although the whole experience was incredibly distressing to me and my family, we couldn't fault the vet who carried out this last procedure. He was very thoughtful, allowed us as much time as we wanted with Jacob before he came (very unobtrusively) to put him to sleep. And our little canine companion (although very poorly) remained calm to the end. I miss him so very much but at least our last memories were of being with him and seeing him so peacefully drift off.

Medivets are the best vets and never had any complaints. My kittens were very weak and I thought they won’t survive but with their support and right medication they all survived . Excellent place for emergency situations. Bookings are smooth and pricing is very reasonable. Just had some experience not getting my dog name correctly in either blood tests or other examination. That probably is due to short-staffed situation during non-office hours.

A good vet, sometimes they don't charge for after surgery checks. Unfortunately no more than 3 people can wait at reception. Everyone else must stay outside by a very busy road. There are two chairs outside though.

My cat got caught between posts and a kind neighbour took him to Richmond Medivet who tracked me down because my cat was chipped. They looked after him until I could pick him up and were extremely kind in not charging me for his pain-killing injection. I will be using this vet again and would recommend them.

They saved my dogs life after a road accident. My dog had extensive head injuries, he was incredibly poorly and the initial 12 hours crucial. The practice is shabby (appearances are deceiving) but its the only vet in Richmond that provides out of hours emergency care. Thank you. (Retrospective, RTA was two yrs ago).

Our kitten Mia had an emergency surgery at Medivet and all the staff have been great with her and with us. Despite Covid and that we’re not allowed to go into the practice, the surgeons, vets and nurses were always in communication with us and gave us great support. It was a difficult surgery but they did a great job and our kitten is doing really well and in recovery. We couldn’t thank them enough.

I rescued a 5 month old puppy and he has been very poorly my usual amazing vet team at Medivet Whitton have been unavailable due to the horrible situation with the world at the moment, so we are being looked after by Richmond, Clara and the reception team are amazing, they have looked after Dave so well and have been so supportive and great at explaining everything to me reassuring me and most importantly helping to get Dave on the road to full health so he can run free like a 5 month old puppy should do. Both of our dogs are registered here and the service has always been very good from all staff. They are patient and every vet I have seen has been quick, succint and very caring. They've explained each procedure to me well, the potential side effects/consequences and advised of after care for the best results - which I find can often go amiss elsewhere! I really like that the practice is part of a larger group, so if we have an emergency when not at home, there are other options, too. Only minor issue is the car park, as it's so small it gets full very quickly and is difficult to manouvere in (especially if you have a medium/large car) - but that's the only minus I have come across! Thank you

They are the best vets I’ve visited in London. Prices are reasonable and appointments are easy to arrange. The best thing is that staff. They all seem to really care and offer helpful advice from their own experience. We take a rabbit and they know their stuff unlike other vets who typically only treat ratty little dogs.

My puppy of 7 months had eaten something that was poisonous, became very ill and consequently had to be put on an IV drip for 2 days. The vet and nurses, including the team on reception, could not have been more helpful, caring, and professional, during such a worrying time. They kept me up to date on all the stages of his treatment and organised a time for me to visit whilst he was in their care. It’s a well run practice that deserves the highest praise.

My wife called this vet around 5 am this morning as my dog was having a seizure. My dog has never had a seizure before and it was a terrifying event for all of us. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and stayed on the phone with us until he was stable. Although we have a regular vet that we will take him to for routine blood-work, etc., if something like this happens again, I would be very comfortable using Medivet in another emergency situation.

Attended this vet several years ago when my dog had been attacked by another dog and out of hours of my regular vet. They were excellent and not only took great care of my dog but also of myself as they realised that I was in shock and would not allow me to leave until I had someone to pick me up. Amazing service I had a great experience in Dalston, however, now that I've moved to Chiswick I was looking for the nearest Medivet. The one in Richmond didn't disappoint as I've encountered the same level of professionalism and more importantly staff member who really seem to love animals and their friendliness makes us feel really welcomed and at easy (when our dogs are not in their best behaviour). I'm surprised to see some negative reviews here as I've used this practice extensively and find them to be pleasant and helpful, very conscientious and highly skilled. They saved my cat's life after he was hit by a car, and then performed a complex operation to save one of his back legs. The after-care was time consuming for us all but they were great throughout. It's true that they are not cheap but, as someone else says, they provide an emergency 24/7 service (without which my cat would be dead), and anyway whoever found a cheap vet?

We came in with our puppy called Romeo and he was very ill so got taken into hospital for 24hrs and staff were absolutely amazing. They always watched him and took the best of care for him. If your dog is ill definatly go to Medivet as they are the real experts

Yorram is the most empathetic vet I have ever met, he has an extensive knowledge of rabbits, and is just a very lovely vet!
