The vet is very nice and friendly. Well it depends who you meet on the day. I only go there once in a while for my cat's regular check up. But in general, the vets are there nice. But the staffs at the till are not very nice at all. Had an unpleasant experience last time.

This was our first visit with our recently adopted cat, Oscar - we were extremely anxious, not only as cat owners, but also because Oscar previously had a tough life. However, the vet and the staff at the vets were just wonderful - helpful, thoughtful, considerate, supportive and mindful of our anxiousness and Oscar's. Thank you all at Medivet Dalston!

I've had two dogs in their care and have always had such a great experience. From regular checks ups to emergency operations (where a dog of mine swallowed a fish hook!) I do wish there was a bit more consistency in vets, I feel like I see a lot of different vets there, but the advice is always good and I trust them... so hey. Keep up the good work.

Everyone at your practice has been so kind, efficient and accommodating. We adopted a cat with a couple pre-existing conditions that we didn’t know about until we brought him in for his first health check. It was very easy to book an appointment for a new puppy and everything went seamlessly. We did worry that we couldn’t go inside with our puppy for his vaccinations but Emma the vet made us feel completely at ease. Our puppy really appreciated someone new to fuss over him. Everything was explained to us in detail and when the puppy was returned, he was even more chilled than when we handed him over. Would highly recommend.

These amazing vets saved my dog's life this week by removing a foreign object (an acorn) from her intestines. They helped make sure she was all covered by the insurance and also helped with the direct claim. They called me with regular updates at every stage of her treatment and recovery. They sent us home incredibly prepared with everything we need for home care too. All the staff are genuinely caring and amazingly skilled. The hospital itself is very well equipped and ready for any animal emergency. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

We were notified when Medivet were able to take appointments and arrangements were made to facilitate social distancing whilst still treating our pet. Very helpful receptionist telephoned to take payment and make future appointment.

I got a really good service when my cat was ill. Because I called a couple of times to ask for advice when my cat was feeling ill, the Dalston medivet receptionist found me an appointment even though it was fully booked. The vet also called me as soon as possible once she got the results of the analysis. The nurses are also kind and reassuring. I am so glad I signed my cats up there!

We got there at 1am on a Saturday night after our usual vet had failed to recognise the severity of our cat's problems and had advised that we do further tests a few days later. First off, their advice on the phone was not pushy unlike other emergency clinics (I had called another night clinic before them, and their attitude on the phone had sounded very money-driven). Once we got there, the staff were amazing, and although our dear cat had to be put to sleep, the vet and the assistant were both really professional, took their time and gave us enough advice so that we could make an informed decision. They were very caring and compassionate with our cat. Although they are not at all close to where we live, we will switch practices and have our other cat looked after here. I'd like to thank the staff once again for their kind words and patience.

Had to move my sick cat from my regular vet to Medivet as they were the only one who had overnight service. The staff were amazing all the way through this difficult time and when my cat sadly passed away the next day I unexpectedly received a handwritten letter in the post, personally expressing their condolences. These people genuinely understand and care about the emotional side of things as much as the medical which is something I find vastly underrated. Thank you and keep up the great work you do.

These guys in Dalston are great and helped when my kitten was very sickly, even though we had to keep going back to get rid of the problem. They are also sympathetic to nervous pet owners - when I left my cat for the day after he had the chop, they told me they gave him lots of cuddles and that he was everyone's favourite for the day. The vets themselves have a lovely manner and don't rush appointments or make you feel like you are wasting your time, and when I called up several times to check if something was normal (like I said, a nervous pet mum!), the ladies on the phone were always helpful and had a vet call me back to discuss free of charge. Can't recommend enough.

Maria, the Vet that attended my cat Panxo and me, was so kind and patient with Panxo and treat him very carefully. She listened all my questions and was helpful to find the best solution for traveling abroad with Panxo in the best safety way. I want to mention as well that she did not push me to unnecessary expensive tests or insurances like I was before in other Vet centres and I really really appreciate this as well. The lady on the reception was also so kind and help me to have the most convenient paying option for me. Honest, kind and professional service. I’ll absolutely recommend it.

I have been taking my two elderly cats to medivet Dalston for a year now after moving into the area. Because they are both old we are at Medivet frequently. I really am lucky to have such a great vet practise. The staff are fantastic everyone from the vets, nurses and reception. I am impressed by the new separate cat and dog areas with cubby holes to put cat cages in making an even better experience. I feel safe knowing that is an emergency with my pet happens Medivet are open 24hours.Highly recommend.

Our usual vet surgery is the Medivet Finsbury Park but after an unfortunate grape incident we had to rush our lab to the 24hr branch. They were brilliant, very informative, which helped ease our worries and so caring. They looked after us as well as our much loved pet. They updated us as soon as there was any news, and they did all this whilst also being considerate of our financial needs.

I visited the Stamford Hill branch of abbeyVET and was very impressed with the care and skill with which my pet was treated. The Vet I saw was Jason Stivano, he was amazing, very caring and explained everything. I couldn't have got better care for my pet or met friendlier staff anywhere else. The treatment cost was very low and the care and aftercare were faultless. I am very impressed and would recommend this Vet and this surgery to anyone . Thank you Jason and staff for your help.

We adopted a stray kitten who had everything against her in life - born of a feral mother and mostly left by her mum to fend for herself after she was 6 weeks or so old. When we were able to capture her, Medivet managed to fit her in quickly, treat the fleas and the worms, do vaccinations etc, and with the only expense being £13 as a first payment to a monthly care plan. Since then, she's been back for further vaccination and microchipping, and will be neutered there in due course. They are keen on ongoing preventative care and educating pet owners, and from observation care deeply about the animals brought to them.

UPDATE 2: Updated review score from one to three stars. While it was extremely frustrating to deal with their billing process, two people from their offices where helpful and took an interest in helping me resolving my issues. All resolved. Update 1: I called the office as requested below. This is for show. Their Dalston office had no idea what I was calling about. They are just HORRIBLE and unorganized. ORIGINAL POST: I visited this clinic a couple of months back for a persistent cough my Yorkie had. I had seen others vets for this same issue and kinda know the standard diagnostics that they run to see what could be going on. After waiting an hour and a half to see the vet (even though I had an appointment) I was met their new vet who was so fresh on the job I mistook her to be the vet tech. She had a hard time listening to my dogs heart beat and lungs. She took down notes from what I (not a vet) had seen but did not run any tests of her own. I asked if it could be a collapsing trachea, to which she said maybe but that even though it is a VERY common occurrence in little dogs she had only seen it twice (again, inexperienced) so she left me to go fetch the surgeon. Ten minutes later she returned without the surgeon saying that unfortunately he doesn't operate on collapsing tracheas. I think that is fine, BUT WE HAVEN'T EVEN ESTABLISHED WHAT IS REALLY WRONG WITH MY DOG! The vet then suggested that I go to another vet and offered to write their contact info down for me. Thanks, but I can get that off the internet. When I leave the office, I ask the receptionist if there is a fee and explain that the vet really didn't do ANYTHING and that I feel that the consultation should be waived given the experience. The receptionist goes in the back to speak with the vet and agrees with me to waive the consultation fee. The very next day I get a call from their office. A very loud and aggressive woman called me to tell me that their vet did perform the services and that I am being held responsible for the fee. I explained to her exactly what happened and that I was told that my fee had been waived but she only got more aggressive. I am now being sent to collections. Also, my dog did not have a collapsing trachea. The vets at Canonbury were able properly diagnose and treat Big's issue.
