An extra special thank you to Rebecca for looking after Hazel's health to Gina and Eleanor for your continued support and kind words during worrying times and Adrian for saving Murphy's life on more than two occasions now. Really great experience with MetroVet. Everyone I dealt with at this vet was absolutely lovely and super helpful. Fair pricing and just overall a great experience. I hope we won't have to come back too often but it's good to know that if I do I'm in great hands!

The vet saw my cat Tommy, at short notice, who had an infected leg from a bite he got during a fight. The receptionist was lovely and welcoming and we didn't have to wait long before we saw the vet. The vet was kind and gentle with Tommy, who is always traumatised when he goes to a vet, but she managed to examine him efficiently and prescribed appropriate medication. Tommy has completely recovered and is his mischievous self again.

Everything is great at this vets except one of the receptionist - she is rude, upsetting and unhelpful, so much so I have got into arguments with her about silly things because she is just so unbelievable rood! Everyone else at this vets is so lovely, the other receptionist is so nice, but this one bad apple ruins it, and it seems yelp agrees with me. Such a shame!

After bringing our dog here on a recommendation from a friend I can honestly say I would not go anywhere else with my dogs. Always very happy with service and very helpful. We'll worthin my opinion the 20km drive to see a vet we trust.

I found the staff to be unwelcoming as they took my dog inside to have a consultation and was not made aware prior appointment that I'd be waiting outside. The appointment took quite some time and I was to stand outside throughout, whilst it was cold and raining. A friend of mine had an appointment recently and was able to wait inside the empty practice but not in the pet assessment room.

MetroVet have been truly great. We’ve taken our kitten there to get her immunisations and to be chipped and spayed. Both times everyone involved has been great, friendly, reassuring and also thorough in explaining aftercare and what is normal for our cat. As first-time pet owners (rather than caring for them and our parents doing the admin) this was really comforting. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion and is great value overall. Highly recommended

The lovely lead vet at Metrovet has given my dog his annual vaccines for the last 2 years. She's always very kind and interactive with him which is helpful as he's a bit nervous at times but he always feels safe with her!

I have had predominately good experiences with this vet up to now. They look after all our 7 cats. Particularly Rebecca (vet) is professional, approachable and helpful when it come to dealing with any matter that might arise.

Vet was amazing and we were able to arrange a first visit for my little kitten quickly and smoothly. Minus one star for the receptionist girl, she was unwelcoming, didn't explain anything (I had to ask all questions by myself - not cool for the first time customer) and didn't help when I was struggling to get my kitten into the carrying container

The veterinary care itself here has always been very good, the vets are caring, friendly and seem to know what they're doing. The actual administration/customer service is quite poor though, we're never told costs of treatment & medicines until you go the till and are just asked to insert your card. Costs can be quite high, but they dont tell give a breakdown or explanation of costs. We were given prescriptions with someone elses name on it multiple times, and it took a long time for them to correct this once informed. Even after informing them and requesting a new invoice, we still have inaccurate info on the invoice, which is missing some of our cat's correct medical history which is worrying

Lovely care..castration for small dog. Nice easy process and reasonably priced. Picked him up earlier than expected and he has recovered well, gave him painkiller in his food and just one night of discomfort. He is nearly healed and vet Rebecca was happy with him at our post op check. She also gave him his booster vaccine and gave some good advice.

I think this is a very caring vet and he has been accommodating and responsive to the needs of our cat who was ill enough to need referring to a specialist vet. I think this was all done in a timely fashion and felt everything was explained thoroughly. A weekend phonecall was returned because I was anxious and a prescription written, with a review appointment scheduled for the next working day. Contrary to what another reviewer has written they experienced, it was suggested I should feed my cat less, not change to a brand endorsed by the surgery. In case anyone was worried...

Absolutely fantastic vets, highly recommend to at least try them out. Very clean, pleasent and friendly practice, we have all 5 of our cats registered here and have done for years. Every vet and nurse I have ever seen here has been so knowledgeable, caring and friendly and genuinely cares for your pet. Everyone always has time for you and to answer all of your questions (special thanks to Rebecca the vet who was the one to diagnose our diabetic boy and has been absolutely amazing and taken the time to teach me everything I need to know about diabetes/injecting/caring for our cat). Whats more is being part of the village vet group in an emergency you have the security of knowing there is also their village vet hospital open 24/7 and on the other end of the phone should you need them. They go above and beyond and all at very good prices. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Easy to sign up once they updated their website. As I had previously taken our cat to the vets within the last 6 months he didn’t need another check up before they issued the flea and worming treatment. I just phoned to make sure they had in stock and collected it.

Been with them since 2011, polite and helpful workers, wonderful atmosphere, love the cute letters addressed to my dog and the text reminders for appointments and injections. Also very informative, vet obviously does his job for love of animals and not just for the money.

Our first visit at Metro Vet didn't give us a great impression. Unfortunately the first thing they tried to do was to sell us a loyalty plan, that for first time cat owners felt a bit like a salesmanship act rather than a caring thing - it's also something that can be done as an FYI at the end of the visit rather than an intro to the practice. The vet was very quick and not so talkative, asked us pretty much no questions about our cat, and he started setting up to give her a vaccine injection almost without giving us time to say yes or no. He's perhaps very confident and forgot that people need reassurance, especially when paying a hefty fee for their pet's care. When we told him she had some stomach problems, he didn't ask how often and what sort of problems exactly, he just went straight to sell us some prescription food, without giving any low cost option to solve the problem. Also criticized the food brand we are giving to the cat, even though it is exactly of the same make of the one he suggested, Purina. I understand vets have commission and partnerships with food brands, but I felt a better effort should be made to give different options., rather than acting like there is only one good option. I think I'll try someone else for now. All in all three stars, as I understand these can be seen as normal situations for cat owners who have more experience and want to get the visit over and done with ASAP. But we'd rather try another vet that takes some time to talk to us and explain things, as well as taking a second to give a pat of reassurance to our kitty.

Thought my cat might have swallowed a Neurofen Liquid and poisoned himself, as he puked everywhere. The vet checked his vitals and took a blood test. The results came back quickly while I waited and his liver was ok. It was a huge relief for me. When I took him home he was a bit spaced out from the pain killer but recovered quickly and no more puking. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Explained everything they can do to me and all the next steps depending on the outcome of the test. I felt well assured and that my cat was safe in their hands.

I don't have a pet, but went to these guys when I was worried about a pregnant stray cat. Let me borrow a cat carrier so I could bring her in, scanned for a chip and gave me brilliant advice on what to do (including contacting the wood green charity). Friendly and informative, you can tell that the staff have a genuine warmth, passion and enthusiasm for animal welfare

Very good service, our cat had been missing for 8 days, and when he was returned to us he desperately needed to be checked over as he was dehydrated, thin and had a bad cold/ cat flu. We phoned Metro Vet just before they were closing, they saw him straight away and sorted him out immediately. Thank you MetroVet.

Excellent check ups but very expensive . As i thought my puppy had a scratch in his eye I brought him for a check up and total cost was £35 to look in his eyes however the vet said he had a minor allergic reaction and gave him a drop with a total of £70 . In my opinion very expensive for just a look

Take too long to process insurance claims. Currently waiting for a claim form that I took there on the 20th September to be processed.. Rang last week to be told that only ONE person processes claim forms and they are away. It can be quite expensive to get treatment for your pets and paying out the money can have a really detrimental effect on some people. Having one person to process insurance claims is ridiculous.
