Brilliant and caring vet practice. All of the staff from those on reception to all of the vets, really care about your pet. My dog recently had to be referred for urgent spinal assessment and the vet really listened (when another practice didn't) and understood the urgency. They were able to get us an emergency appointment the next day to be seen for MRI and surgery. We've been given a 90% chance of recovery, had we waited longer it would be more like 50%. So grateful for the care and compassion (especially to tearful pet mums!!) Thank you so much.

Took my first ever puppy for a check up with vet Adam. As soon as I walked in a gentleman behind the reception desk gave a friendly welcome. I was seen on time and my puppy was relaxed and excited throughout the process due to how well he was treated, the only thing he didn’t like was the other dogs not playing with him. He was given liver paste to distract him and I was even asked if I was happy for my puppy to be given it. I was explained the puppy welcome pack and signed up to the pet plan club which was all explained thoroughly to me. Adam was brilliant with my puppy throughout. Afterwards I was given a breakdown of my bill by another receptionist and booked in for my next visit. All staff were extremely polite throughout the entire experience. I can now relax knowing my puppy will enjoy going to the vet.

I can’t recommend the staff at Neighbourhood vets east dulwich highly enough. All the team treated our very unwell dog like she was their own; they rooted for her, cheering her small wins and gave her love, affection and strokes as well as the best medical care. We’ve used many different vets in the past (and I’ve even worked at a vet practice), and the care provided here is like no other I’ve ever experienced. I felt so reassured our dog Maya had the best care and was kept comfortable. Veterinary staff are under incredible pressure at the moment so we were so impressed by the vets that we worked with. Sean, Simon, Steph and Laura went to incredible lengths to keep us informed, updated and to provide us with clear explanations and options. Sadly after everyone’s best efforts our dog Maya needed end of life care. This was an incredibly hard decision and very upsetting for us, but again it was handled in the most caring and considerate way possible. The vets, nurses and receptionists have all been so kind to us and our dog and we can’t thank them enough for all that they did to make this difficult time a bit easier. Thank you.

Amazing vets, always friendly and thorough. My male cat recently had a life threatening emergency (bladder blockage) - he was admitted to both Streatham Emergency Vets and the Neighbourhood Vet afterwards to be monitored and discharged. He is back to his normal self and I can't thank them enough for saving his life, especially Jess Firth who is a brilliant Vet! :-)

I cannot believe the compassion and care the neighbourhood vets give. I am totally overwhelmed with their kindness. Sadly our beloved dog Blue was hit by a car and after my vets were so unhelpful in this awful situation I contacted neighbourhood vets and they were so empathic and caring towards me and my dog without even being registered with them. After 4 years with NV East Dulwich I’ve moved north of the river and am really sad to part ways! I have been using The Neighbourhood vet for a couple of years now. My two Persian kitties have been under the care of Dan the vet. When one of my boys (Lugosi) was diagnosed with a lung tumour, Dan was empathic and we discussed the best way to help Lugosi in the remaining months of his life. I did not feel pushed or rushed to do expensive tests or give treatments that would have not helped much. When my Lugosi passed away in October, Dan was really supportive and compassionate. It meant a lot to me that Lugosi's vet was there to offer support to his grieving human. It touched me deeply. My remaining cat Karloff will continue to see Dan and be under his thorough care :)

We've been coming here with our puppy since December. Having been to dozens of vets over the years, the level of service here is fantastic. Dayla loves coming here and is always welcomed with love and treats! They also process our insurance claims quickly which is always nice! Would definitely recommend these guys. They also sell raw food which is a nice.

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. Everyone here, from the staff on reception to the various surgeons and nurses I’ve interacted with, has been great: kind, helpful, and very professional. I would especially like to thank Laura, who has been fantastic treating one of my cats with an eye problem recently. She’s gentle, patient, and very knowledgeable. It’s clear how much she cares and she is a true credit to the profession.

I visited The Neighbourhood Vet today for the first time and was very pleased with my visit. The shop is clean and tidy, the staff are friendly, and the waiting time was not very long at all. It was also good to see hand sanitizers available for customers and the staff were all wearing PPE equipment. Eloise took time in listening to my concerns and gave the best advice and great solutions for my dog Buzz. I appreciated the time she took to listen to my story and it felt like she genuinely cared. Firstly I just want to say a HUGEE thank you to Sean McInnes for literally saving my hamster!! I can’t recommend this practice enough! The receptionists are so lovely and understanding. My hamster was on the verge of passing away and at a point where everyone was telling me I should put him down. After having seen a vet already who didn’t have much hope, Sean was able to take my hamster in and provide him the best care and answered all the questions I had. Its now been about 2 weeks since my hamsters been back home and hes doing amazing. I highly recommend Sean! He’s very professional and knowledgeable even with small pets and I can’t thank him enough! Keep up the great work!

Always extremely kind, helpful, friendly and caring. Reception staff are very pleasant and always try to fit you in / offer advice as needed. Veterinary staff are incredibly lovely, treating you and your pet just as you would hope, and never dismiss any issue. They are very thorough and always gentle and loving but firm with our old cat Smokey - you can tell just how much they care about the animals they treat and as a result I trust them completely. The practice itself is clean, modern and comfortable and overall I think it's good value for the quality experience you receive.

We’ve been taking our senior cat to the Neighbourhood Vet for a few years now and we are really happy with the level of care and service received. The reception staff are always welcoming and friendly. The vets we have seen recently were caring and patient with him. He’s not easy to deal with! Neighbourhood Vet excellent as usual - I just wish they were less expensive! They have a scheme to help poor people in the African continent, maybe they should extend it to the UK. The animal charities are wonderful too - but they have huge waiting lists.

Just had my first visit for my rabbit Bella (accompanied by her husbun). Large waiting room so plenty of space to keep my rabbits from other animals. Sean gave a great deal of time examining Bella and is very knowledgeable and friendly. Alex at the reception was also very helpful and kind. Thank you both for your time on a Sunday and seeing us on short notice. update: Second emergency visit on a Sunday (rabbits sure know how to pick the days to be unwell). Our experience at Neighborhood Vet so far has been great! The weekday nurses are absolutely brilliant and made us feel very welcome and the vets are knowledgeable and caring. We haven't had any surgeries or emergencies yet (hopefully we don't ever need that!) but so far we love them and so does our puppy! It doesn't feel like a vet there.

I was urgently in need of a vet for my dog recently when she became very unwell. The Neighbourhood Vets were so kind, so supportive and provided the best care for my dog who needed surgery. It was a Sunday and one of the vets came in especially to help my dog (although they were very well staffed). I knew instinctively that my beautiful dog was in very safe hands. I am so appreciative of all their caring work and tremendous skill and professionalism. Highly recommend.

I initially brought my cat here for cystitis, after being referred by MyFamilyVet.co.uk. I was terrified she was seriously ill, worried about the cost of the treatment, and feeling ill myself. Just a mess. They were running a bit behind, but made sure I felt tended to and once I got my cat into the exam room the vet did everything she could to ease my worries. She clearly cares about the animals and makes sure they feel as safe as possible. She helped ease my worries and went out of her way to discuss financial options. All told, I ended up paying £144 for the consultation, urine test, and medication. Plus, since I had been referred after a £16 online consultation with MyFamilyVet, they took the £16 off the final cost.

Being meaning to write this review for ages, In short the Neighbourhood Vet is absolutely fantastic! Super professional, really kind and warm and very personal. They genuinely care for you and your animals. Our rather old Labrador has had a few issues but The Neighbourhood Vet sorted her out. I think that Rosie actually enjoys going there because of the level of attention she gets! The surgery itself is really nice and modern and the staff who work there (and I've met most of them) are brilliant. Suzanne and Amber are amazing and there ethos of how to look after animals and their owners is obvious. The other vets are great too as is Wayne the practice manger. I CAN'T RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH!

The team at The Neighbourhood Vet team are fabulous. Our dog always loves visiting and pulls to get inside, despite having had to undergo various treatments over the last 2 years. He is always well cared for, loved and given the highest quality service. In addition to this, the staff are patient and understanding in dealing with me. I have not been the easiest 'worried mum' over the last couple of months (to say the least), yet they always have time to answer my questions and provide reassurance. My two dogs love this practice. The excitement builds as soon as we reach the car park at the front of the building. As we open the door we are greeted by cheerful staff who make us feel very welcome. It can be difficult as I have to bring both dogs even when the appointment is only for one of them. This is never a problem for the staff as both dogs are greeted and made a fuss of. As for the consultation, I never feel rushed and I am always given lots of information about how I can help the dogs myself. I feel very confident that I am not unnecessarily sold products and medications (something I could not be sure of with previous vets). Looking after an elderly dog can be problematic. The staff have always been happy to provide advice over the telephone. I was able to video what my dog had been like at home to aid the diagnosis. The video was uploaded to his notes as a record and could be used to monitor progress. All in all they offer a great service, if only I could get the same for myself from the NHS.

I've used a number of vets over the years due to moving around a lot, and these have been the best so far. They're very friendly, and they take the time to answer questions about your pets. The Pet Club is a great idea - it helps you spread the cost of vaccinations over the year, and gives a 10% discount on other treatments, which is coming in handy as my cats get a bit older.

This practice offers the highest standards of care for your pets. They are incredibly friendly, and genuinely care for your animals. My dog, Bobby, was a rather poorly puppy, and had to undergo a number of treatments and operations. Each time i felt relieved in the knowledge that he would be well looked after (i was even send an email of a picture of him after his operation to let me know that he was ok, a lovely touch!) as well as knowing that he would receive the best treatment and aftercare. The team at the Neighbourhood Vet are fabulous - from the receptionists, nurses and vets and i cannot recommend them highly enough.

I would highly recommend the Neighbourhood Vet, we have always experienced an excellent level of care, they really go the extra mile and are kind and genuine if our dog is ill. You get text up dates with photos if your pet is staying over and we received blood results within an hour. My dog loves going so much she nearly pulls me over trying to get in the door!

I had my first visit to The Neighbourhood Vet at 66 Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. My cat had been in a fight and had been bitten by another cat. He's been quite sad for a few days and I thought it was time to take him to the vets. I called and made an appointment made for me by Emma and Lucy. When I arrived and introduced myself and my cat. Both girls were very kind and greeted me and made me feel very relaxed and not to worry about my cat as he was in good hands. I had an appointment with Matt. He started as a locum and has now become part of the regular team there. This guy is amazing. My cat had a very bad abscess and it was filled with lots of stuff that I would rather not describe. Matt quickly dealt with the problem with ease whilst making me feel relaxed not panicking or worrying about was he was doing to clear this abscess. I suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and I arrived there feeling very anxious and worried. After 5 minutes of being there I felt great and I could see my cat was in very good hands. Matt is brilliant. He takes things in his pace and he works effortlessly with care and really cares for animals. He is a first class and you can see how gentle he is with animals. I would just like to add that The Neighbourhood Vet in East Dulwich are a great team and they go above and beyond a normal Vet clinic. First class and my cat is so much happier now and so am I. I first used The Neighbourhood Veterinary Centre in an emergency situation with my 21 year old cat - they were so supportive and empathetic that I immediately registered all my animals with them. Betty my Labrador is the most frequent visitor, currently 12 weeks post knee surgery. I would recommend the practice without hesitation. The veterinary nurses are top notch too.

We moved from East Dulwich a couple years ago and never moved vets. They are worth the 45 minute commute. They are so loving, caring, understanding and above all know how to best care for our crazy fox terriers. We are moving back to the area with them as one of the major pluses. Love them! Nurses and veterinarians are superb!

I cannot recommend the Neighbourhood Vet practice more highly. The vets are kind and skilled, and the service is second to none at every level. It's a truly bespoke experience, with staff you can trust, and always comparatively good value. Local pets are very fortunate to be in 'the neighbourhood'!

I cannot praise this practice enough! From the very first moment I walked into the veterinary surgery , I was made to feel welcome. Having two cats, one of which has to be treated for nasal problems, I soon got to know the vets, nurses and receptionists well . Recently one of the cats was diagnosed with leukaemia. During which was a very sad time for me, I was overwhelmed by the love and attention received by both me and my cat. It seems to me that nothing is ever too much trouble for this wonderful band of veterinary workers and I would recommend that anybody should take their animals to the Neighbourhood Vet to receive some of the wonderful care that I have received in the past four years .

We love the ladies (and Wayne!) at the Neighbourhood Vets. We have two cats which have been under their care for several years. Our cats are old and things are starting to go wrong more frequently with them, so we've seen more of Suzanne, Amber and the team recently. For the last year my 12 year old cairn terrier has been suffering from separation anxiety. I had totally lost faith in my last vets in Clapham who were very unsupportive. He has just been to Jemima at the Neighbourhood Vets in Dulwich whom I can’t praise enough for her concern, support and advice. Absolutely Fantastic.

The people there are very good they do a follow up aswell where a member of staff will phone a couple of days after you have taken a pet to them to make sure they are doing fine.... expensive consultation at weekends especially on a Sunday £75 so dont let your pet get unwell on a Sunday 😃

Since moving to South East London we’ve been using The Neighbourhood Vet-first on Barry Parade and since they moved the one on Lordship Lane. I have never met such a friendly and caring service in my time in London. Pets are expensive, you can't really get around that unfortunate fact but they soften the blow by being efficient and punctual so you don't have to spend too long in the waiting room with crippling anxiety about how much it's going to hurt your wallet.
