S. L.We've adopted a number of our cats from the society, and we'd adopt from them again in a heartbeat, (as long as our current cats agreed to it). The society is very professional and caring about the adoption process, and I appreciated the home visit to ensure the home environment of prospective "animal parents" is appropriate.
Definitely top of our list for when we decide it's the right time to bring a 'new' face into the family once again.
A. U.A bit hidden away, feels like you're driving down a footpath, but a lovely little charity, helpful friendly people who just want what's best for the animals in their care. We adopted two very sweet rabbits from them and couldn't be happier!
A. P.We've had 2 kittens from here, and sought advice from them when we took in a 3rd stray. Really professional, helpful, and in dire need of more funding/donations.
Because they do such a fantastic job I think a lot of people assume their future is guaranteed but as with any charity, compromises have to be made on service. I'm not a massive dog person but was really sad to see they had to cut down their dog rescue service due to lack of funds.

I live 45 minutes away and I try to help with the Xmas sales each year by giving goods for them to sell and raise money, plus bales of hay/straw, fresh veggies and nuggets for the rabbits to save them some money with Xmas approaching.
They only have cats and bunnies at the moment cos they have not got the funding to have the dogs so only cats and bunnies (December 2019).
To get there, you have to drive down a canal path as it's along the canal so it could be difficult or confusing to get to for the first time. Watch out for the cyclists and peeps walking along the path while you are driving slowly.
Please help this charity as they really do need your support.
A. D.Took my bunnies today and the staff were wonderful. I was truly devastated having to give my darling babies up, but the lovely ladies that work there, reassured me and tried their best to calm my fears. Beautiful place ran by wonderful people
L. H.My family has supported the SAA for about 25 years. We even got one of our dogs from them. It's a brilliant local animal charity run by smashing people. The animals are really well cared for and the SAA have a high rehoming success rate. Their fairs are great too.
J. H.Went here to use their enclosed field. Great service for people who have dogs that don't like mixing with other dogs. Worth paying for the hire, because all monies go to the charity. Great value for money.
S. B.Great place to take the dogs, has its own private field that can be rented very cheaply, also sell some great cat and dog accessories and food for very cheap. Also regularly attend the yearly table top sale, well worth it, Highly recommended.
