I was faced with my Border Collie Millie being on long term pain medication for arthritis, unfortunately after one dose she had a very poor reaction. This led me to look for an alternative. Then I stumbled upon Rinnert and figured it couldn't hurt to try the acupuncture and herbs. I'm so grateful I did find him because Millie is going from strength to strength. She's showing no obvious signs of pain. Her overall health and demeanour is much improved. I'm less worried about her. Rinnert was quick to respond to my initial email and tell me what help and support he could offer. We never feel rushed with appointments and he has a very calming presence which both myself and Millie pick up on. She barely reacts to the needles and is settling more and more during treatments. I would highly recommend his practice. I'm very glad I found him.

My pooch Ripley was diagnosed with Kidney Disease (KD) a year ago when routine bloods were taken prior to an emergency eye removal due to glaucoma. Traditional vets were very helpful but I wanted to pursue alternative therapies before turning to processed food and binders which was there only recommendation. Fortunately, I found Rinnert who took time to listen and read about Ripley who at the time had high levels of creatine and phosphorus amongst other readings resulting in a grade 3 KD. Ripley is a quirky, very sensitive and complex pooch. Rinnert is patient, gentle and with a bespoke natural diet recipe and regular acupuncture Ripley's routine bloods and urine results have altered considerably in a positive direction. Vets⁴pets have worked alongside Holistic vet care providing regular bloods. Ripley and I highly recommend Rinnert as his expertise and therapy has turned things around for Ripley. Thank you Ŕinnert.

Rinnert has helped us greatly with our wire hair fox terrier. She has suffered increasingly with sensitive skin and food allergies and it was distressing to see her discomfort and to feel like we were just addressing the symptoms rather than the cause of her issues, gradually increasing the strength of her medications as they seemed to become less effective. Rinnert is kind, calm and thoughtful. He listened to everything we told him about our dog Lola and took his time to explain his approach to treating her. It is three months since we started taking her to see him and she is a different dog, her symptoms are getting much better, we have been able to reduce other conventional medication, she is no longer uncomfortable and she is a much calmer, happier dog. We can’t recommend The Holistic Vet enough.

My 14 year old Chinchilla cat had a large chest and side tumour and I feared I would soon have to make a heartbreaking decision. I heard Dr Rinnert Van Den Burgh interviewed on BBC Radio Leicester and took Miss Daisy to see him. That was in Nov last year and thanks to his expertise in holistic vet care, she is enjoying life today. The herbs she was given will not cure her but take the heat and moisture out of the tumour which has slowed the growth Rinnert creates a very calm environment and takes time to understand the pet and symptoms. Miss Daisy was also given acupuncture. Definitely recommend this holistic approach to pet care and Rinnert is extremely knowledgeable and a true professional in this field of pet care.

Thoroughly recommend Holistic Vet Care, my dog is 11 and has been suffering with joint and back pain to the point walks were becoming impossible. Treatment and medication from our regular vet unfortunately produced little to no results for over a year. The progress we have seen with not only his physical care but his energy and mood on the whole has been amazing, we noticed the difference in the first 7 days and there have been noticeable improvements every week since. Most importantly Rinnert took his time to get to know our dog, made sure he was comfortable and asked questions to ensure he could access his overall health. He asked questions about his diet, routine, mood, general behaviours and well being. To be honest it's helped us as a family understand so much more about overall dog health, a very welcomed difference to the standard approach vets take which is usually to look at each presented injury/concern separately. It was a last hope for us and I am so glad we embraced this opportunity, I only wish we had explored this avenue of care earlier, it has made such a difference to Pablo's quality of life. Hopefully in the near future holistic care will be more widely available and accessible, it has given us hope that we have a little more time with our lovely boy without him being in pain and enjoying life again.

Dr Rinnert is very thorough and compassionate. He is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled getting to the root cause of the problem and his dedication in helping Huck is very impressive. After only one consultation which included acupuncture, our elderly German Shepherd, Huck, has had a completely new lease of life. Huck is so much more energetic, active and much happier, even though he has liver cancer and spondylolysis. Having lots of rescue dogs in our care, it is very daunting when one of them becomes so ill. Having found Dr Rinnert, we now have the medical expertise and support we needed, as he has given us gentle yet highly effective options for Huck which were unavailable elsewhere. Also at an affordable cost ! We are delighted with Huck's response to Dr Rinnert's treatment and have so much confidence in him, that the 2 hour journey each way to the practice is well worth it and we will continue with treatment. Our girl Matilda is almost four years old, a large mixed breed from a Romanian shelter. She arrived with us less than a year ago, when we discovered she had hip dysplasia. She was over weight, extremely unfit, very stiff (especially her back end) and suffered regular bouts of hip and leg inflammation (especially the left side) causing pain and discomfort which we needing to medicate. Thankfully, Rinnert was recommended to us. He has made a massive difference to our girl. He has a very gentle nature with our super- friendly dog. Treatment began including accupuncture and Chinese herbs in February, 2021 - combining with hydrotherapy and weight-lose. Matilda benefitted almost immediately. We have not had to give any pain medication, Matilda' body posture walking, standing and sitting is more upright, she suffers less stiffness in her joints and she is more alert and energetic with us and our other Rommie, Darcey. We understand we are on a journey with both our dogs but will always be grateful to Rinnert for the help and support he has provided for Matilda. We highly reccommend Rinnert for anyone seeking a more thoughtful and considerate approach to supporting their special and much loved pets ❤❤❤

Rinnert has treated 2 of my dogs over the past year. Maggie was a terminally ill rescue dog who came to me with inoperable mammary tumours. She was given weeks to live as the tumours were so advanced. That was in October last year. With Rinnerts advice and treatment, she lived another 10 months, with the tumours visibly shrinking over that time. Sadly, because she was deemed too old and sick to operate on, she eventually succumbed to pyometra, and infection of the womb, which could have been prevented by spaying her, but that's another story. Rinnert gave a poor battered, sick breeder dog, 10 more months of me pampering her and loving her, after the first 10 years of her life of being used as a money making commodity. Pixie's treatment is still ongoing, and he is helping in keeping her comfortable, as she succumbs to regular urine infections, due to her disability. Pixie thinks Rinnert is her best friend, and gets so excited when she sees him. l can't rate this man and his abilities, highly enough.

I have a dachshund with back problems and decided to try acupuncture as it worked previously on my German Shepherd who was unable to walk. She made a full recovery! I’m glad I found Dr Van den Bergh as he is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He explains how everything works and also how our case is viewed from both an Eastern and Western perspective. This has helped me understand some of my dog’s behaviour and why he does some things. I know from previous experience that this will not be a quick fix and will take some time but I’m really pleased with the progress we have made in the last few weeks. We have some herbs that I add to his food twice a day which also seem to be helping. I would highly recommend Dr Van den Bergh as I’m impressed with how far we’ve come in a relatively short time

I am so pleased and grateful to have found Restore Veterinary Acupuncture! My 9 year old standard Poodle, Phoebe, has been having acupuncture treatment for about a year and I can see a massive improvement in her condition and a massive reduction in symptoms. Phoebe has spondylosis in her spine which was causing her a lot of discomfort and making her very miserable. After the very first treatment it was like I had a new dog! She was so much less grumbly, a lot let stiff when getting up and she was SO playful! I couldn't believe it! She has been having monthly treatments since then and I would recommend Restore to anyone whose pets (Rinnert treats other animals as well as dogs) are experiencing symptoms or problems that don't seem to be getting much better with traditional treatments. It was such a blessing to have Rinnert from Holistic Vet care help us with our beautiful ginger cat Harry near the time of his death. Rinnert is a wonderful kind person and someone that has clearly taken the world of veterinary medicine to the next level of expertise. Our Harry had become really sick and we really didn't want to have him euthanised, as traditional vets wished and tried to pressure us to do. This would of been particularly difficult for us during Covid 19 where we would of had to pass him over to a vets and not be there at the time of his death due to social distancing restrictions. We really wanted to have Harry at home with us as he died, in his happy place, very peaceful, as pain free as possible and surrounded by loved ones. It's rare to meet a Vet that is able to properly support both us and a pet in this way and Rinnert has 1st rate expertise in the dying process to help your pet. when their time comes. He is able to clearly explain each stage of death in a way traditional vets do not understand and really help your pet die in an amazing way at the end of their life. In the end Harry passed exactly as we wished, in a completely natural way and very very peaceful, surrounded by loved ones. We could not of wished for more. If we had used his services a little earlier rather than relying solely on traditional vet medicine we would of liked to explore his herbal remedies as well. It's certainly something we would be interested in with future pets.

I first found Holistic Vet Care when I was at my wits'end with a very poorly Greyhound and was desperate for something more than conventional medication (our greyhound boy was suffering with a slipped disc and was on maximum meds). Rinnert was kind enough to provide extensive advice over the phone before our consultation which helped considerably. We took Fionn to the clinic and he immediately seemed relaxed, then a very thorough history was taken by Rinnert before some preliminary acupuncture. Fionn was not bothered one bit by the needles and even fell asleep for some of the time. He also did this on two follow up appointments when Rinnert travelled to us at home when Fionn became too frail to be moved. After each treatment he was able to get up and down much more easily and his standing gait was more relaxed. He was also able to offer herbal supplements and dietary advice to support Fionns' treatment. We have no hestitaion in reccomending Holistic Vet Care and are so happy that we have found him to help us provide the very best care for our best friends. Combining his conventional vets training with complementary treatments Rinnert provides an outstanding service.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Restore Veterinary Acupuncture! I have a rescue Border Collie who has been with me for nearly seven years. He is aged between 9 – 11 years. A couple of years ago he was diagnosed with a heart murmur which escalated a little over a year ago when he was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease, most likely inherited. A few months later I took him to be washed when all of a sudden he was literally “screaming” in pain! Both the groomer and myself were very shocked as we had never heard anything like it before! An appointment at the vets followed whereby he was diagnosed with spondylosis in his spine. Over the next few months Quyn became more withdrawn and slept most of the time due the mount of pain he was in as well as his heart condition. More recently some of his medication was changed including a different pain killer which helped quite a bit. I had listened to Rinnert on BBC Radio Northampton and started to wonder about acupuncture and whether it might help Quyn. On my next visit to the vet she was one step ahead of me, suggesting acupuncture as I was about to mention it! The rest, as they say, is history as Quyn has now had a number of sessions to date, including several using electro-acupuncture. The difference in Quyn is amazing! He is far more mobile and much, much happier! I am aware that due to his heart problem his life is limited but at least he now has a good quality of life and can enjoy the remainder of his days, how ever long that might be, relatively pain-free, comfortable and happy. Thank you so much Rinnert, you are Quyn’s saviour and I will be forever thankful, as no doubt Quyn is too!

Our precious 12+ year old Rescue (Min Pin - Rusty) was diagnosed with Chronic Renal disease at the end of October 2020. Our Vet kept giving us conflicting information and the wrong doses of medication which made Rusty's condition even worse. I have always been a firm believer of a Holistic/ homeopathic approach and found Dr Rinnert online. We have only had 1 Acupuncture appointment and we are in the process of changing Rusty over to a customized diet formulated by Dr Rinnert...in just over 1 week we can see a MAJOR improvement in Rusty. He has a whole new lease on life, excited to see us, go for walks and a massive appetite. He even looks younger in his face and has a spring in his step. We are hoping the next blood test results (in 6 weeks) show the improvement we can actually see in Rusty. We recused Reggie knowing he had epilepsy. Our vets kept increasing his drugs but we saw know improvement. We found Rennet through the Internet and through his wonderful care Reggie has been 3 months seizures free. And we are reducing Reggie ‘s dosage of drugs.
