Withy Grove is an amazing vets. They cared for my family and for my dog sooo compassionately when she was put to sleep. We waited and finally got Nellie who is now 3 and their advice from 9 weeks to now has been superb Everyone of the staff is amazing and friendly. If you haven’t tried them you need to and wish I had known before.

We have been coming here with our dogs for 40 years and until August 2022 it has been a consistently good experience. From the owner, Michael Clarke through all their staff, a warming and efficient service. Costs have been reasonable until now. The business is now in the hands of Medivet, part of a Luxembourg run conglomerate with over £100 billion in investments. My dog, Toby, has to have long term treatment for fits and the cost for that treatment has gone up over 200%. A two months treatment for his liver complaint has now reached £161, over a £30 increase overnight. A consultation is now £35. Hopefully, the good care and service of the last 40 years will continue but keep an eye on the eye wateringly steep rise in prices.

Fantastic vets. Can’t fault them at all. After a traumatic time at another vets involving our kitten, we brought him to Withy Grove and they dealt with the issue and to cut a long story short, helped save his life. They’ve been very attentive with all our pets (we’ve had rabbits, hamsters and a cat) and have always had our animal’s best interests at heart. It’s good to know that they’re just a phone call away and will explain things if you want advice or need help.

We take our "girls" (2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) to Withy Grove. I feel extremely confident when taking them and know that the vets will always do their level best for them no matter how big or small the problem may be. Dogs are clever, they sense things, my girls trust the vets at Withy Grove and never show any signs of distress or upset either going in or coming out. Throughout the covid pandemic Withy Grove has kept going, they put things into place to keep their staff and patients families safe. To their credit they have been able to manage not to close and have been their throughout to care for our beloved pets. They have found ways for us to keep up with the care our pets need and deserve. Had to get my pet seen at very short notice late in the evening, while other vets were charging £160 just for a consultation, Withy Grove agreed to see me 10 minutes before closing time (making them close late) and still charged me the original fee. They didn't rush with her and was very thorough with treatment. I couldn't thank them enough! You can tell they put the wellbeing of the animals before money and they always have the pets best interests at heart. Wouldn't trust anyone else to look after my pets.

What a brilliant vets so caring and compassionate. We sadly had to put are gorgeous boy Sam to sleep even though it was our first time with them everyone was so nice. A couple of days later we received a card which was so lovely it's the little personal things that make the difference. Wasn't over diagnosed or overcharged for an injection and medicine. Even at busy times the staff take their time to ensure your pet is given the time they need to be looked at and care is given on medicine doses.

All our pets have been ably taken care of including one chicken! The waiting area been recently refurbished and the is now a VIP waiting area for cats. Nursing staff are friendly and approachable and the vets are knowledgeable, always giving good advice with the best interests of the animal first and foremost. Fees and meds are reasonably priced.

We have been using Withy Grove Vets for over 15 years and have never had anything less than the finest quality care and service. They have cared for generations of our pets with dedication and proffesionalism. Every member of staff is friendly, caring, and no matter how busy they are, will stop to offer advice, help, or just a friendly word. Prices are always honest, reasonable and affordable (they haven't gone down the route many vets have of artificially inflating prices assuming everybody has veterinary insurance!) We have relocated to Preston area almost a year ago! It was a very stressful time for us and our pets. I was worried I won't find the level of care my dogs had before. My beagle is an ex laboratory dog, so extremely anxious and slips into panic very quickly. We rescued her being fully aware of it. Lots of TLC brought her out of her shell and its wonderful to see her happy running around and enjoying life. Habing said that, shortly before we moved to the area she started to throw up blood and had been put on meds by the previous vet so it was essential for me to find an exceptional level of care to continue the treatment. At some point I realised we ran out of her tablets, so I needed to find a vet quickly. After some research we tried a vet near Sainsbury's where a rude receptionist said that the surgery doesn't take any new animals on and almost told us off for asking. Panic set and in desperation I went online. It's when I came across Withy Grove Vet. From the first moment, the receptionists were lovely, extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help us out. My girl was given a couple of tablets they had in stock to cover until the prescription arrived! The first visit with Michael left me almost speechless and emotional due to the number of detailed options he gave to get to the bottom of the problem. Unfortunately Alana still had episodes of throwing up blood, so we decided to get to the bottom of it. She had an xray, endoscopy and blood tests which showed that her stomach is inflamed and has bumps. Biopsy was taken but luckily came clear. Suann suggested to run allergy test to which we agreed! The result: she's allergic to almost all foods available, human & animal. Since, she's been put on anallergenic kibble and we are slowly introducing different food. Since the diagnosis and change in her diet, Alana instantly perked up and started to behave more like a normal energetic dog! Michael and the team are extraordinary people who genuinely care! Another episode we experienced was when our Lab x Golden Retriever girl got attacked by a Belgian shepherd. This happened just after lockdown so I was worried we won't get to see the vet immediately. Again, Michael saved us all. Took her in for a check up straight away and gave medication to cope with pain and antibiotics in case there was an infection. Charges for emergency call out were peanuts in comparison to what we would have been charged where we used to live! I did not think we would find this level of care and help for our girls and we consider ourselves extremely lucky! THIS IS WHAT I CALL A VET WITH PASSION FOR THEIR JOB! Obviously there will be moments where staff will be in different moods - at the end of the day, we are humans and have life outside work which affects us but this does not deter me from the incredible job they do on a daily basis! I will not go anywhere else!

Withy Grove Vets have looked after my little beagle for ten years. Their policy is to try the least invasive treatment at all times. Ruby had medical problems from day one & we were recommended to take her there after appalling treatment at our local vets. She actually started to thrive with the care of the vets & nurses at withy grove. In the beginning Ruby needed continuity of seeing the same vet which helped enormously. We had many years with our beautiful beagle. Sadly we had to say goodbye last week. I can only say my little beagle had a dignified, peaceful passing at home, made so much easier with the vet she knew & loved attending. The fees we were charged were extremely low in comparison to fees at our previous vets. At some time in the future I would hope to return to Withy Grove with an addition to our family.

I just want to say a massive thank you to this practice and all the vets and workers we encountered there this week. Unfortunately, my rat FitzGerald had to be put down after suffering from a chronic respiratory infection. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very kind and considerate and the vet that saw me and Fitz was very understanding and kind also. They helped me enormously through this difficult time by making the experience less stressful. I was also very touched by the card that was sent to my house a few days later. overall, they made this hard time a little easier and I would like to thank the staff for their hard work and compassion.

Used this vets many times, always pleasant and were brilliant with my daughter in the waiting room as she was terrified of dogs. On our last visit , however, the head vet nurse was rude and condescending to me and found myself having to demand my kitten back that she decided she was giving to a cat charity!

We've been with the Withy Grove Clinic for over fourteen years now and have gone through various health problems with our three pedigree cats. For the most part we have managed to see the same vet on each visit and have always received the very best of care and attention. The vets are clearly very experienced and always deliver any treatment with care and compassion. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Always take my furbaby Poppy here. Michael is very good and always book with him only due to my mum going to Michael with her cat. Poppy is on a VIP plan where I pay monthly and includes working/flea treatments- which are by far the best. I get texts when poppy's vaccinations and check ups are due. All other staff are very pleasent and helpful when I ask them questions. Also I can book her appointment's online which is really easy for me due to my work schedule.

A thoroughly professional and caring staff. I have had cause to use Withy Grove for over 30 years, with an assortment of animals, and have never had anything but excellent service. Scared pet was seen, whenever possible, outside the surgery; Cancer pet was operated on and then survived beyond the average span for his breed and post surgery predictions. Random car damaged hedgehogs have been treated free of charge and then passed on to hedgehog sanctuary. Nothing is too much trouble, and all pets seem to be known personally to all staff. So reassuring.
