I couldn't recommend them more highly. My two beautiful dogs came from there. Izzy in 2010 & Finlay in 2011.
They have given me more love and joy than words can express.
They were great in making sure that our family and our home were suitable.
DBARC do a fantastic job saving the lives of so many animals every year.

DBARC is one of the most amazing rescue centres I've ever been too, they take great care of the animals in their care and it is where I got my goof ball echo from he's a border collie cross and I love him he's completely healthy and just an amazing dog, DBARC is where I would definitely go to get a another pet, I would love to work there.

We adopted our beautiful boy Alfie from Dbarc on 6th January 2018 . He had needed dental treatment and Dbarc paid for it all even though 1 procedure came after his adoption. We were told all about him, given time to visit and bring the grandchildren too. They couldn't have been kinder or more caring for potential owners and for the dogs in their care. We went back to support the fun days. We couldn't recommend them highly enough. Alfie thriving with us but after being a week from being put to sleep in Ireland he got such a good restart at Dbarc.

Staff are very friendly and amazing with the dogs they take in. They made sure that the right dog was matched with my family and I could not be happier.

We met a dog and decided to adopt it. The centre is well run with plenty of open space and caring staff.

Wonderful place. Adopted this little beauty from them. Since being with us she has come on leaps and bounds. Very helpful staff, they give you all the time you need with the animal you are thinking of adopting, and very good with home checks and making sure the animals go to a good home. Would adopt from them again.

We adopted our first ever dog from this rescue centre, we received a warm welcome from the staff and time to get to know our dog. He is an amazing little boy, who loves life

Great animal rescue. Our last dog and our latest came from here. Always friendly and helpful staff and lots of animals needing a new home.

We adopted our doggy from DBARC a year ago and couldn't have been happier. We visited a few times and were able to get to know him and take him for a walk. The staff were all great; we luckily met a few volunteers who were really knowledgeable on the dog breed which really helped. Home check was thorough which shows they make sure the dog is going to the right home. Thank you DBARC!

They are great at what they do..they've helped in Schnauzerfest rescue which is close to my heart..( Schnauzer puppy farm rescues..brilliant work from DBAR)

We found our dream dog from DB. This dog was abandoned by first owners and we were so lucky to pick him. Love at first sight and the £200 donation is a bargain. This charity is wonderful. Great they did the due diligence on us as owners as it showed they care.

I adopted my male guinea pig from here in June 2019 and I cannot fault this place! Staff were knowledgeable about my guinea pig and while I didn't learn anything new I was so glad that they had been taking such good care of my Rupert until I came to bring him home! I got an information pack with him and it included all of his veterinary treatments and medicines he had taken which was enormously helpful when registering him at my own vets.

Great place, really care about the animals in their care. We have got our second dog from them now.

A great rescue one I have supported for many years and I got my 1st rescue dog from here when I use to do voluntary work. He was the best 1st dog anyone could of wished for and I am glad he picked me! Sadly he has crossed over the rainbow bridge a couple of years ago now but he did make it to a great age of 16.5 years old.....love and miss him so much but thank you DBARC for letting me rescue him x

We rescued a puppy last Christmas (2019). The staff were very friendly and made sure the animals were looked after properly. We collected our puppy a day later than planned because DBARC didn't want to leave his sister on her own for their last night.

Think very carefully before you get a rescue dog. Does it look at you? Does it respond to your voice. How does it walk around the compound? Don't fall for good looks alone. Make sure you are physically compatible with the dog. It's heartbreaking if you have to return a dog that you have worked with and grown to love. Animals at DBARC receive the highest care. I'm not sure the staff care about humans in quite in the same way.

Can't praise this rescue centre enough. We adopted a dog from here nearly 9 years ago and she is a loved member of the family. They re home all types of small animals but only to we checked people and homes. Keep up the great work.

FANTASTIC place, SUPERB staff who take time to get to know the animals under their care and make sure they are in great condition before letting them leave. Recently adopted through them and could not be more impressed at the knowledge and care shown to our new dog! Would like to give far more than five stars to be honest...

Really incredible, very helpful and friendly team working there, we adopted about a year ago and now thinking to adopt another dog so will definitely be going back to support the amazing work they do. Also has a lovely donations shop, so well worth buying previously loved items as it all goes to a great cause.

Great place to get a rescue pet. Went there for a cat. The cattery is a lot bigger than I expected it to be, the cats are well looked after, have their own toys to play with and a cat house which is huge to hide away in. The cats know the workers voices and respond positively. Worth a visit.
T. A.
Lovely helpful and passionate staff. All the animals are well looked after. We got our Guinea pigs here nearly two years ago and are now looking to rehome a dog.

Only one dog available when we arrived but had a look around anyway lots of cute bunnies well organised rescue centre a lot of the dogs come from Ireland not all are mistreated some of them end up here because the owner's move or die. Very caring establishment and all animals have plenty of space to run around and play

It was DBARC's Fun day... Lovely event from 10-5pm with many stalls, games and dog show...raising money for the charity. Very hot, but plenty of shade, water bowls and paddling pools for the dogs.

Whilst they are probably most famous for their work with dogs that need re-homing, they will ensure a good home for every type of animal from a hamster to a horse.
If you want to know what love of animals looks and feels like - go to DBARC. They have a great combination of professionalism and real love.
At least for dogs, the process is that stray dogs, mostly from Ireland are temporarily homed with foster parents in Ireland. The ones that are assessed to have a good character are then brought to England, having been passported, an if necessary, inoculated. (In their words "We don't want biters and fighters")
Those dogs are then posted on the web-site with an honest opinion about their needs ("Not good with other dogs","Needs lots of exercise","Good with Children" etc etc. This happens around every 2 weeks , and you need to look at the web-site to see what's available
You go to the centre, and give them your details(They want to find the right type of owner and environment for each and every dog)
The kennels are heated and air conditioned and kept spotlessly clean
Having chosen a dog, you can visit it whilst waiting for a home check.
Yes, they care so much , that they come and check your home out! Does it have secure fences? Does it have an area where the dog can play?
Whilst this is going on the dog is also checked over by a Vet
Once you have passed the home check, you pay a voluntary donation, and pick your dog up
We would only get our dogs from DBARC. We know that at least whilst in their care they are loved and made to feel as good as they can at the point of great change in their life
M. S.
