As always, the service was fantastic. Charlie and the reception team, are friendly, caring, welcoming and professional. The vet I saw, sadly didn't catch his name, was brilliant with Flint. He listened to my concerns, and he put my mind at rest. He was kind, caring and supportive of my needs.

There is nothing more I can say about this practice other than they are absolutely amazing. Every time I have had to bring my bunnies up they are so caring and explained everything to me from how to care and how to administer meds. I wouldn’t go to any other vet. Just a shame we are unable to go in still

Nice and friendly staff. Free parking provided you give over number plate for staff to note down. Service has always been very good as my dog and cat get they're check ups done in a timely and professional fashion. Other appointments are not too difficult to get a hold of if there is something wrong.

The moment i hand my kitty over to them because we still aren't allowed in because of covid restrictions I feel reassured they will give her the best possible care. They have great knowledge of animal experience and I feel they are honest and won't rip u off like some vets I've been too. Javier is bellas vet and she loves him from recent experience she would be shaking afterwards but after she gets homes she's so happy. He seems so kind and gentle always greeting us and bella with a smile with makes us feel at ease because I'm more nervous than bella. The prices are reasonable too not to expensive and they do a pet plan which i pay each month so her flea & worming are covered in that and u get little perks like 10% off which is great. The only thing I say is the car park insent very big but not a major problem as the service is outstanding! Even the receptionists are all lovely especially charlie very friendly and helpful 😊

The staff are always so friendly and helpful- due to the pandemic we are unable to go into the waiting room and my kitten was very nervous of the noise as next to a busy road. The receptionist that came out to get my reg number of the car I asked was there a wait at all my cat was very nervous and looked really scared. The receptionist was fantastic and ask if she wanted to take my cat and put her in the waiting room so she wasnt so nervous and could be in a quiet place while she waited for the vet to be free. This really shows that they care. Vet Andrew is always so kind and has a very calming placid personality. I do hate not being able to be in the room with my cats but understand we have to do this at the moment to keep everyone safe but I trust Andrew when he takes my cats into the consultant room they will be looked after. Also Andrew explains everything so well and clearly and always gives me options to help my cat. The rest of the staff are always lovely and I think it can get very busy in the store but they don't stop being helping and nice even when under pressure. Some people get frustrated if vets are running behind but i do understand that some times this is out of vets control if an emergency comes in. If the person it was their pet that had an emergency I think they would be happy to wait a little longer so this is why I try and reason with nurses if they are behind. Thanks Bitterne stuff for all your hard work and helping our pets to stay safe and well.

I do feel that it is really difficult to get appointments at vets at present and had to keep on trying for this neutering of my cat as it had been postponed all last year and I therefore had 2 litters of kittens and didn’t want her to have anymore as she fought to find a way to escape the house to mate. They did accommodate me in the end which was fantastic but I don’t understand why in this pandemic the prices of everything have gone up and increased so much it doesn’t seem fair at all when we are only desperately trying to be responsible owners. This does annoy and frustrate me a lot. My cat is small in size and it cost us nearly £160, which I feel is a lot of money. When I enquired at another vets it was going to be £80 which is half the cost of what I paid but they are not performing operations at the moment which seems ridiculous to me really and so just had to book with you and pay the nearly double cost of procedure so we could protect her as she’s not even 2 yet. I am grateful though that she was accommodated by pets 4 vets as she was going on call again and getting herself very distressed and wouldn’t eat, and there’s not much of her to begin with so I am very pleased that she has had procedure and she was very well looked after by the team at Bitterne so thank you all.

Our vets. Very professional and very friendly. Busy all the time but then you would expect that as they are good. Went in the other day and noticed that on the reception desk was a candle and a request for quiet and respect as someone was having a loved family pet put to sleep. What a lovely gesture at a difficult time for a grieving family.

Eva took Bayleigh’s symptoms seriously and requested further tests before diagnosing. This led to discovery of bladder stones rather than just treating a potential urine infection. Bayleigh was very well looked after at every stage and the surgery was completed with an incision so small and neat it was barely visible. All of the staff were kind and very sweet with Bayleigh, keeping me informed with insurance claims all the way through.

Due to Covid 19 lockdown, we were required to wait outside for our appointment, this was explained in a note on the door. A nurse then came and took our dogs, one at a time, to the vet who checked their general health and administered the vaccination. The nurse then explained the outcome of their appointment with the vet, their general health and that they had been well behaved. This practice is always excellent, even during trying times.

Friendly staff from reception to all the vets and nurses. They care about all the animals they see and are also kind with the pets families. The animals are well looked after and I am more then happy to have my Dog in their care. She has recently had a op on her eye and it was done quickly, neatly and she has had the very best of care before during and after. She is very much part of our family and the staff treat her as that . Can not praise them enough.

Very friendly staff, who clearly like animals. They offer good value "lifetime care" package for various animals ( rabbits,cats, & dogs. Possibly others too). Where for an upfront fee, any subsequent treatment -usually annual vaccines is free for life. (We took out one for our dog - it pays for itself after the third year). Consultation prices are about the same as other vets. Treatments can be a little pricey. There is allocated free parking , but it's operated by an external parking company so you must make sure to log your registration in reception to avoid getting a nasty fine in the post.

I called in the morning as Catrick had a lump on his cheek, the nurse offered us an appointment quickly. Due to social distancing, I didn't enter the building, but Catrick was taken in to be checked over. The vet came out and explained what he would do to treat Catrick, and so advised the cost. I felt that Catrick was well looked after, everything was explained to me regarding aftercare and my boy seems to be making a great recovery. Thankyou :)

Took Simba our rabbit for his yearly vaccination. He had the first vaccination a few weeks ago, and this was the 2nd part of that course. When he first saw the vet it was mentioned he may have a skin condition, which we were asked to keep an eye on. Although I was not aware of him scratching or itching, I asked the vet to take another look to see if it had got any worse. It turns out Simba may have a parasite, which was explained to me and he is now on a course of treatment. Really really satisfied with how everything was explained and the Vet was great!

Despoina was amazing with Bonnie! Bonnie has started to become anxious with her visits to the vet and despoina made a point of trying to relax her by playing with her and giving her treats before she attempted to look at her, she didn't make me feel rushed and she was happy to take her time with us and on follow up visits she has been fantastic!

My cat was sick and I was incredibly upset - they fit her in for a checkup almost immediately, they were friendly and thoroughly explained everything to me, they called me to update me on how she was, they offer two checkups post-op (included in the price) and were so caring.

Our vet for the past nine years. Friendly, familiar, intimate practice. The staff are attentive and welcoming and the vets are proficient, caring and knowledgeable. Andrew Thornton, who owns the practice, is outstanding!

Appointments only saves a long wait, prices not bad, you can park either in there car park but you will need to enter your car registration into there system at reception, or park across the road, staff nice and friendly.

It's a lovely practice, I used to go to an independent vets and it was always horrible, not a nice place coupled with what extravagant prices are they going to charge me this time feeling, I don't have this at vets4pets, I know they only charge for what's needed rather than what they think they can get you to buy, they don't scare monger you into anything, the staff are nice and friendly, the waiting room is bright a airy, and generally it's just a really nice place.

Very friendly helpful staff, very compassionate, I have used them for various different pets, prices can vary depending on your needs but they are no more expensive than other local vets, people moan about the car parking yet because of a neighbouring tesco store the car park was being blocked by people stopping for Tesco's, leaving their clients no where to park, so I assume they had to deploy an effective deterrent, I have managed to park since without problem.

I'm sure it's ok as a pet shop but I parked there for 5 mins and am now being chased for a massive parking fine...surprised V4P employ these tactics. Not friendly!

I see lots of negative reviews of here, which contradict my experience with Vets4Pets in Bitterne. We recently had to put our cat down, the Vet (Andrew) explained the options to us, gave us time to think and acted with the best interests of the animal throughout. The reception staff were very curteous and friendly towards our situation, and the whole team sent and signed a personal card which was a nice touch. My only thought to improve any further would be to have a private payment/reception opportunity for people/pets who are perhaps a bit 'emotional' following treatment. Thank you.
