We adopted Skye back in September. The team are amazing and knew she would be perfect for our family. She is super friendly and everyone always asks about her on our walks. The team were really helpful and kept contact throughout the whole process. Everything was straight forward from initial application right through to home checks and arranging to meet and collect her. Have already recommended to others who are wanting to adopt. If we had the room we would have another ☺️

Adoption is worth everyth step. I adopted my American Akita from a rescue centre and it was the best choice I ever made. He was 10 and I only got 3 years with him and he was so perfect I couldn't of asked for a better 3 years. Giving an animal a 2nd chance is something they will love you so much for trust me 🥰

We contacted Adopt a rescue dog in July by august we had our new adopted pup. All checks were thorough despite covid we had home checks and had to make a few modifications to make our garden dog proof. We got regular communication and video updates on how our puppy was doing. We collected our pup at a set date and time and honestly she’s perfect. Everyone involved works so hard to ensure the pups are well cared for and they all are superstars. Best decision we ever made

We had almost given up hope of finding a rescue dog until we met Kendra and Adopt a Rescue Dog! Kendra took the time to ask us all the important questions about what we were looking for in a dog, the home check was very easy and relaxed and when we had a dog lined up she kept in frequent contact and didn't pressure us into taking on the first dog she recommended. As it turned out Rolo was exactly the dog we were looking for and we are now nearly two months in to welcoming him in to his forever home with us. We know we can always contact the rescue if we need any help and by asking the right questions from the get go we have found a dog which has slotted right in to our lives and who we now can't imagine being without!

I cannot find the words to say how marvelous this rescue group is. I have spent months looking at all rescue groups in UK and abroad and finally found the dog I hoped to give a home to. Every question I had was answered, every request for videos with dogs, videos with cats and, most importantly for me, videos with children provided. I have only had Micky in my life for two days and he is everything they said he was. I am completely in love. I cannot thank everyone concerned enough. From my initial inquiry, to messages from his foster home in Bosnia, to the people who cared for him on his journey. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I just came across this charity online when we were looking to adopt a dog. Kendra was great on the phone and making sure we were a right fit for the dog we wanted. We’ve had him 3.5 months now and we love him. There is also plenty of support if required. The whole process was nice and easy. I would definitely recommend!

We adopted the most beautiful dog Mali from Adopt a rescue dog back in January. We took a risk choosing a dog that was recovering from nerve damage and learning to walk again. Kendra was very honest about her and never pushed us to pick her. It is such a huge undertaking matching dogs and transporting them from so far away, we were sent all the import information showing they are legally bought into the country which was very reassuring. Getting Mali was one of the best decisions I have made, such a loving dog with so much to give and a true fighter who is living her best life now. One day when I have space I will be back to offer another dog in need a home.

From start to finish this was an easy friendly process. Lots of information before, during and after getting our rescue dog . Contact with the the foster carers as well who gave us updates and photos prior to her leaving to travel to the UK . Nika arrived in the UK with her documentation including pet passport. She came fromBosnia to the Uk I’m a purpose built vehicle with air con. We couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more professional process . Nika (now Mazie) has settled in so well it’s almost like she’s always been here.

Cannot recommend highly enough. The team were friendly and very responsive. You can tell they are working genuinely with the animals as their number one priority. We are so happy with our new member of the family and they are still always happy to help with questions and advice.

We fostered and adopt through this rescue and Kendra is very responsive and helpful. All animals have rescue back up and post adoption also helped to keep in touch to the rescuer in Bosnia to see how the dog they rescued are doing in their new homes. Highly recommended!

I don't know where to start with the praise! This dog rescue absolutely has the dog's best interests at heart. I applied for a puppy, subsequently spoke to AARD and was matched with a different pup whose character would fit with my existing dogs better. I was kept updated at every step of the adoption and joined the group chat with other adopters. There is ongoing support and advice with any issues, not that I have had any problems. My new addition is the sweetest, most perfect pup in the world - she is my 4th rescue but 1st time with AARD. If I get a bigger house, I will take them all...
