B. L.I used to use haygate until I realised that 40 min waits and massive consultation fees were not the norm. Staff here were so much nicer and better service not to mention they fit me in last minute and the service I needed was 30% cheaper.

R. H.Lovely vets - our rescue cat has turned out to have a few health issues and the vets have been really lovely, helpful and supportive. We've called for some advice and they have been really calm and understanding, explain things really well and cautious about putting the animal through stressful procedures that may not be needed. We had to rush our cat in on a Sunday morning and were put through to the Shrewsbury branch straight away, they saw us within 30 minutes and had all of our cats previous records to hand - I was really impressed. Even though we weren't allowed in with him due to COVID the vet talked to us over the phone and I felt really reassured he was in good hands.

They are genuinely trying to help you & give you the best advice for you & your pets, not tying to run your bill up unnecessarily! They understand vet bills can be costly & offer pet plan which is brilliant! I've taken my cat here for years now & although I've moved further from shawbirch I refuse to change vets as they are so lovely.

T. R.I truthfully couldn’t recommend highly enough! Not only are the team fantastic with my dogs, they’re so courteous, warm and professional. Top drawer! My boy attended puppy parties, hosted but Shophie Byrne, and absolutely loves attending the practice. My Blue staffy has complex needs: he has had two ops on right back leg and he also has allergies; treated with a maintainable jab, monthly. We do require veterinary assistance, regularly. We also have a rescue staffy pup who, so far, enjoys good health, but has been spayed.
Two weeks ago, we had an emergency and my husband was rushed, from GP surgery via ambulance, to hospital. I had to take some belongings to him and had my blue boy with me. When he saw his “dad” he wouldn’t move and was crying, I had no idea how I was going to get him home. He just refused to move. As he’s 28kg and built like a tank, I was in trouble. As we were only over the road from Medivet Shawbirch, I had an idea. I was able to coax him across the road. Once outside the vets, he was really eager to get inside! Georgia came to the door and she and Eliza were happy to let him in. I looked through the door to see them playing with my boy on the floor. This made what was an extremely distressing and worrying situation so much easier to cope with. They kept him until my husband was on the way to hospital, then brought him out to me. As he’d been distracted and kept occupied, I was then able to walk him home! Both Georgia and Eliza were absolutely lovely and offered to keep him for longer! My husband was in hospital for a few days, very unwell, but is now fully recovered.
The relationship between veterinary staff and owners of pets is paramount in terms of establishing trust and peace of mind. The team is outstanding and my blue staffy boy is always most eager to attend the surgery. I know both he and my rescue staffy are in great hands! Thanks so much!

From the receptionist to the vet nurses to the vets themselves I could not fault them. I have had several pets registered with them - they offer a great service with a smile and clearly genuinely care for all their animal patients.

Shawbirch has convenient parking, always seen on time staff friendly & helpful & obviously care for animals. The vets always take the trouble to explain things so that you can understand, I never feel ripped off, but more importantly the cats are relaxed & happy there.

Special thanks to Camilla who is so friendly and has great patience . Also the receptionists / veterinary nurses are very helpful and friendly .
