Reviews of Sunshine Yoga

As a first timer to yoga, I could not recommend this studio enough. Not only do they provide several classes throughout the day, 7 days a week at an extremely affordable price, they also create an extremely comfortable, welcoming and very friendly environment. The level of professionalism is extremely high and from the moment you step into the room, you can clearly feel how passionate they are in what they do. 5 stars do not make justice to the incredible experience you will get by attending their classes.
If you think about whether this is the right place, get in touch with them, you will not regret it.

I'm sure this is a lovely place but I would recommend trying out walk in prices rather than a "trial pass" which I bought assuming classes would go ahead. In fact I had 2 day classes cancelled last minute and the one I got to was way too fast for me. It would have been helpful if class descriptions were more accurate and it does appear atm that only midweek evening classes are mainly running which are no use for me. Heyho....

Having recently just relocated from California to Scotland, I was on the hunt for a yoga studio I could call home. Maybe it was the name that first truly drew me to Sunshine yoga, as I was trading in the perpetual sunshine of LA for more dramatic skies. There was also something undeniably comforting about looking at photos of the space itself online. I have a tendency to follow my instincts in life and this was no different. The first class I attended was with Stephanie, the lovely owner. The studio, like Stephanie, is incredibly welcoming. I needed a sacred space that reminded me of what I loved about my favorite studio to teach and practice in.
Last night, I went to two classes back to back, and by the end of the second class, I felt very much like myself again. It's been three weeks of change and while it is beautiful and thrilling, there's also a deep need for grounding. I have a daily practice but it's also immensely comforting to move to a new country and find a gracious and welcoming yoga community. My deep and heartfelt gratitude goes out to Sunshine Yoga.

Sunshine yoga is a lovely studio offering a wide range of yoga and meditation classes for people of all abilities. I’ve yet to find an instructor that isn’t fantastic. There’s nothing more relaxing than the warm yin yoga class and the sunrise classes are excellent too – a great way to get moving and waken your body up at the start of the day! Stephanie has created such a welcoming community here and I love to settle down on one of the sofas in the café for a raw cake after class. A little yoga haven!

I love this studio! It combines all that I need from yoga:
- the most welcoming and not intimidating people running it,
- range of classes varies for different moods and intensities,
- there's nice selection of classes' times, suitable for office workers,
- the price for regulars is great,
and again - owners and teachers are helpful, professional, and have positive mind-set.
One additional detail, which is really important for me - there are cosy blankets available (more than 1 per person), so no one freezes in savasana during winter (or in my case, I don't freeze during Scottish summer either).
Having some experience at different studios around Europe (Poland, Netherlands, Highlands), I definitely recommend Sunshine Yoga for everyone who's looking for relaxed atmosphere and supportive yoga environment.

Absolutely love this place!! Amazing classes, teachers and it’s a little oasis.
I’ve tried several classes trying out different styles of yoga, the gentle classes are my favourites as I have a crazy life! Also the meditation course too, which I highly recommend.

From the moment you walk in to sunshine yoga you feel calm and welcomed. I have been to two classes and loved each of them, Steph is great, she helps you with your practice and makes sure you are getting rhe most out of your body. I love every class I go to. Best yoga place ever!

This studio is a little enclave of happiness and relaxation ! There are enough different classes to suit all abilities and interests, my particular favourites being the sunshine morning sessions which set me up beautifully for the day and the power yoga which is more of a workout than my runs, whilst still leaving me totally relaxed and energised for my day. It's lovely to spend some time here, with a raw cake which is delicious and yummy hot chocolate post class and a natter with all the other yogis that go here. I've yet to find someone I didn't get on with, it's such a lovely welcoming community of people that's not at all intimidating for even a yoga novice such as myself. I am so glad I've found this little studio, it's like a weekly treat for me !!!!

Sunshine Yoga is a gorgeous oasis of a yoga studio on the west side of Edinburgh. Classes run from 7 am throughout the day in a variety of styles. There is something to suit everyone from a complete beginner to an experienced yogi. Teaching is great and the atmosphere is friendly and warm so if you are a nervous first timer this is a good place to take yourself. You can do your class, grab a fresh juice, tea or coffee afterwards and maybe a delicious slice of raw cake (which must be at least one of your five a day!). Some lovely gifts, books and cards there too if you want to treat yourself or the yogi in your life. Very accessible by public transport 2, 3, 33, 25 all stop nearby and it is only a short walk from 22 / 30 stop on Stevenson Road but on-street parking if you are driving. Easy online booking and discounts on pre-pay class packages.

Wow! What a beautiful little haven. My favourite yoga studio. The only thing I hate is that fact I didn't discover it sooner.
SY is so much more than your average studio and I couldn't recommend it more. Stephanie, Matt and the rest of the instructors are attentive to the needs of the class and very welcoming. The cafe adds a unique vibe that makes you want to stay there forever!
Happy anniversary SY! It's incredible to think what has been achieved in only one short year and I'm sure the place will continue to go from strength to strength.
I look forward to dropping in, next time I'm in Edinburgh!
