Reviews of The Kali Collective Yoga Studio Glasgow
S. D.
Visiting Kali has been the best decisions I've made this year. Have wanted to regularly do Yoga for ages but never made too much of an effort outside of the odd youtube class. After a week of going to classes at Kali daily I don't see myself ever stopping. I have been to several types of classes taken by (I think) all instructors based out of the studio now and every one of them has been fantastic. I've been made to feel welcome and confident in practice every time, with the instructors doing a great job of both instructing on the poses and individually helping to adjust. Very glad I started coming here and looking forwards to every future visit.

Kali is my favourite yoga studio in Glasgow. Beautiful studio and all the instructors are amazing.
I came to yoga to gain flexibility and help prevent injury for my other sports but I have stayed for the amazing community feel, amazing feeling a get after every single class I come away feeling 10x better. I now know I would not be my optimal self without atleast a few Kali classes a week.
I highly recommend.

Kali offers a diverse range of classes that make the studio a welcoming space for all. I feel at home when practicing at Kali and have soaked up so much knowledge and wisdom from the teachers through the years of practicing there. It’s a safe space that gives you a chance to either move out of your comfort zone, and try something new or to rest and retreat from the outside world. No judgment, no drama - just good people and the most beautiful space to move, breathe and flow.

It took me a while to try yoga but looking back now I couldn't be happier I discovered it in Kali studio. From the very first class teachers made me feel so comfortable and at ease that it then led me to feeling brave to try different types of classes and learn where my body and mind feels the best and what challenges it.
It's the atmosphere, from the design of the studio to the community, that provides you with that cosy feeling and removes any awkwardness you might be fearing at first that I don't think any other place has. Since my first class, I have brought a few friends in to the classes and everyone just confirmed my words, so I'm confident that when you finally make that decision to join, you won't look back.

Without a doubt the best yoga studio in Glasgow! Such a wonderful mix of warm, encouraging instructors offering a variety of teaching styles. There's a real sense of community at the studio, creating a safe space and friendly environment to practice in.
E. L.
Lovely studio and energy. The classes are great and instructors are very kind and fun. They offer a wide variety of types of classes and creative events.

This is truly the best yoga studio in Glasgow! The teachers are so knowledgeable about all different types of yoga and the anatomy of the body. It's so nice to have a beginners yoga class that is truly beginners; as well as more advanced classes too with vinyasa flow yoga, yin yoga...The perfect balance. Thanks Kali team!
J. T.
Lovely studio, Steph and her team have put in the effort to make the space appear very open, clean and an interesting variety in their schedule. If you want to do yoga that leans more into the classical purposes of practising yoga (mental health, healthy joints, meditative breathing) then this is the place for you!
S. E.
The standard of teaching at Kali is superb with a wide range of classes for all levels and interests. Such a community minded space and place that truly embodies all of the teachings of yoga.
S. G.
Kali is the best yoga studio in Glasgow! I've always felt comfortable and supported in my practice with the teachers here. Students and teachers, it's like one big family. There's something to suit everyone, from the absolute beginner to the more advanced yogi, and the workshops on offer are excellent.

Lovely city centre space in a building with other well-being practitioners. Great mix of classes, with a warm and generous welcome, high quality props, including yoga chairs which had been a revelation for me. You wont regret a class at Kali. Ever.

I joined the Kali Collective because I wanted to get deeper into my yoga practice and challenge myself. They have 100% delivered on those fronts! Every class I learn more and more about myself, my practice and yoga. The teachers are friendly, kind and very informative. I’m yet to visit the studio due to lockdown, but have loved the zoom classes and can’t wait to experience the Kali atmosphere!
V. Y.
I have been doing yoga for about a year and was looking for a new studio with good online classes due to the current pandemic.
What I like about the Kali Collective is that they have a variety of classes which are easy to book. I am also able to decide whether or not I want to pick an in-studio or online class (although all classes are online at the moment). This offers me a lot of flexibility and I know that even when I can return to office work that I don't need to change my membership.
I hope that the classes will continue to be both online and in-studio in the future, so that I will not be required to travel if it is inconvenient.

The Kali Collective is the most empowering yet humble yoga studio in Glasgow.
As soon as you walk in the studio, it will feel like home. There is a beautiful community space so you can hang out before or after class which I find so unique.
The teachers are highly experienced and each class is fun and dynamic - you actually learn something each time, and never feel out of place. So welcoming yet raw and real. I’ve practised with each teacher and highly recommend them all.
The Goddess Kali (you’ll soon find out what she’s all about) will make sense.
If you are looking for yoga in Glasgow, this is your place. Thank you Kali! 🖤xxxx

This has been my first big step from 2 x 20 minute YouTube practices a week to a proper commitment to the practice. I feel really well supported and there’s a great variety of styles and practices available daily. The Spring Clean challenge has really allowed me to connect and feel part of a community - as opposed to just attending classes.
I’m so happy I chose to practice with the Kali collective, every instructor is so friendly and professional and you can tell they are passionate about the practice.
Massive thank you to the whole team at The Kali Collective for supporting me and my yoga development.
G. K.
Was recommended to try yoga due my bad back and The Kali Collective was highly recommended.
I can understand why, very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There is a variety of classes and deals available.
I tried the restorative yoga class first and it is a nice and gentle intro to yoga. It is also focussed on your breathing which is another issue I had as a result of my back issues.
If you are interested in yoga or like me have back problems I would definitely give this place a go.
S. M. Y.
Having lived in London and been to numerous yoga studios over the years, nothing has ever come as close to the wonderful experience I had at the Kali Collective. Some studios can make you feel unwelcome or like you have entered an elite of which you are not part of but at Kali, I received the most heart-warning welcome from Steph. She made every single student feel at home as they arrived and her teaching style allows you to feel so safe and content during the class. Her teaching style is to me exactly what yoga is meant to be: inclusive, warm and fun. I highly recommend practising at The Kali Collective, such a beautiful space.
S. O.
I found the Kali Collective during lockdown as they have been offering an excellent timetable of vinyasa, yin, restorative and gentle flow yoga online. I felt welcomed into the online community despite not having attended the studio before. Going to classes has been a real highlight of my year so far. The teachers are fantastic and I can’t wait to attend the studio in person once it reopens.
J. P.
The entire Kali Collective team is fantastic; so friendly, approachable, and they truly care about your practice. And after just a couple of classes at Kali you will feel like part of a community. If you are in Glasgow, or based anywhere and taking classes online, I can't recommend enough The Kali Collective.
K. N.
I was introduced to Kali Collective through instagram and their February challenge - yoga every day for 28 days. Having spent the majority of my yoga life doing youtube videos, I had felt so ready to get involved with a studio, become a part of a community and elevate my practice with real time teachings. And then I found these guys *insert happy tears*
I cannot recommend the Kali Collective enough - to those who are just starting out on their yoga journey, those who want to delve deeper into mythology and philosophy, those who want to work on fine tuning & subtle movements that have profound effects, those who want to get strong, those who want to chill the eff out and spend time really with themselves through guided mediation and movement, those who want to have a right laugh & giggle while playing with their own body's potential.
Kali collective offer such a dynamic and intune team of teachers who are there to guide and assist you. I feel this and have only been practicing with them online! I've even considered moving to Glasgow to be a part of the studio when it opens up. Still considering.
These guys are amazing! Don't think twice about joining them for a class or membership. Thank you so, so much for all that you do!
E. S.
I've done full circle at The Kali Collective, I was a student, then I did my teacher training here and now I teach for the community. Every single little detail is thought about & the energy in the place is SO potent. Whether your a seasoned yogi or brand new to the practice, everyone at Kali will welcome you with open arms :)
C. N.
I’m not sure it’s possible to distill the essence of The Kali Collective into words - it’s a place you have to experience. When you go to the studio you will find a beautiful space dedicated to Mama Kali with lovely staff and skilled instructors delivering carefully crafted sequences. There’s a class for everyone whether you prefer strong vinyasa, a gentler flow, yin or restorative. The energy in the studio is insane - it is empowering and also friendly and relaxing. It feels like coming home🖤
H.
I attended my first yoga class at the Kali Collective studio when it opened 2 years ago and I've been coming back religiously ever since! The beautiful Kali community has played a massive role in making Glasgow feel like home. The studio has a really welcoming, relaxing vibe, with countless loving touches (my favourite being the delicious tea). Kali offers an amazing selection of classes, ranging from nourishing yin to energising power vinyasa and barre. I've got so much love for all the wonderful teachers at the Kali studio, and for the equally wonderful students!
R. F.
You know when you visit somewhere new but it feels satisfyingly familiar? That's how I felt visiting Kali Collective Yoga Studio for an excellent workshop (check out what's coming up next!). Ample on and off street parking and helpful directions and advice offered beforehand and a genuinely warm welcome on arrival. Generous healthy refreshments and eats help ensure you enjoy your time in this attractive, unfussy environment...you'll feel better just for being there. It's clearly a draw for the most pleasant of people. Just go!
B. B.
From the minute I knocked on the door, I had a fantastic experience with Kali Collective. I was welcomed into their gorgeous space by Steph and made to feel totally at home. There was water and tea on offer and a lovely little common area to hang around in before or after your class. The class itself was Warm Yin with Alice, and I loved every minute of it. I was exactly what I needed and was led in such a way that I feel everyone really had enough space to create their own experience, but enough guidance to not get lost. A beautiful session and I cannot wait to come back again. I couldn't recommend it enough! :)
E. E.
I had never been to the Kali Collective before so didn't know what to expect. The first class I done was a Yin yoga class. I had never done this either. Steph the teacher was really lovely and welcoming to everyone, and the space seemed clean and fresh. The class was amazing. Slow and powerful. As cheesy as it sounds, I woke up feeling like a new person the next day. Have been back another few times and feel a bit addicted to yoga now. Loving the Kali Collective so far.
s.
Since Kali came to Glasgow a yoga hcommunity has been established. Steph is an incredible teacher and I love her classes. The other teachers are incredible too. You enter the studio and are warmly welcomed and the ambiance/energy is incredible. It's easy to get to and they're flexible with their class times. The workshops, and traveling teachers to the studio are great. I love going to the studio and meeting other yogis and practicing with them. Go if you haven't been and try their intro offer.
N. C.
I have done a few yoga classes in the past as well as a bit at home but I was nervous about attending a proper level 2 Vinyasa class. My friend told me how great The Kali Collective was and she said she'd come along with me. I shouldn't have worried, the class was amazing and the instructor Kat was fantastic - she kept an eye on me to check I was on track. I loved every second and I will definitely be coming back!
B. L. H. S.
The Kali Collective is a beautiful studio. From the moment you enter the space you feel the energy of the community. Kali offers a variety of classes with their accomplished line-up of teachers always willing and ready to make your experience top notch. This place is truly THE BEST. I can't say enough about my Glasgow home away from home. Definitely check it out when your'e in town!
A. R.
Love this place! The space is beautiful, and the teachers are friendly, genuine, and a great pleasure to learn from! I would highly recommend the barre classes... they hurt so good! ;)
H. T.
So glad I chose kali collective to explore yoga. They have a great range of classes for all levels and the team are really friendly and accommodating. There is a great sense of community within the studio.
E. F.
Kali Collective is a friendly warm and comfortable yoga studio. The teachers are welcoming and smiley and the classes are on at brilliant times. Haveing been to Jenny's classes they have filled me with confidence in my own practice. Leaving this space and these classes I feel calmer. Kali is awesome.
A. B.
Beautiful teachers, always welcoming, encouraging, very clear, precise instructions appassionate, snd very professional. Has completely transformed my yoga practice...and much more . Would definitely recommend The Kali Collective.
J. M.
I attended Celebrate in Ceremony workshop at Kali to celebrate New Year. What an incredible experience. Steph is a wonderful teacher. I noticed that during her class, I didn't have to look her once (this is rare I often have to look up many times to make sure im following the sequence correctly). She explains each pose very well and allows you to adapt the pose to suit your individual level. Her teaching style is both supportive and empowering. The studio space has great energy too- I would highly recommend going to class or workshop!
N. R.
Kali is one of my favourite studios! They have a great community and the studio is always welcoming. The owner Steph is always on the search for new knowledge to bring to people and ensures that all teachers working at Kali are of the highest standard. I love the courses that they offer and wish I had more time to attend some of them.
I. G.
The studio is fantastic - a great space, Kali-focused decorations, excellent mats/props, in central Glasgow. Classes are the best I have been to, across the world - the teachers are all unique, authentic, knowledgeable and approachable. Sequences are always exciting, fun and modifications are offered to suit your needs. There is no stuck-up cliquey-ness here - these people are real and you will feel welcomed and at home, no matter what your experience, ability or style/body type is. If you get a chance to take a masterclass or course with the owner, Steph Wall, don't let the opportunity pass you by. I did my yoga teacher training with Steph, who is absolutely amazing - I can't recommend her highly enough. She has an amazing team working for her and truly cares about her students and her community. This is not your average white washed studio - Kali is raw and real like Glasgow, offering a safe space for yoga practice, community and honest conversation. If you haven't been, you have to check it out.

I’ve started coming to Kali at the beginning of my stay in Glasgow and it has definitely become my home away from home. The classes are creative and energetic, the studio just makes you feel comfortable and everyone at Kali is just super welcoming and sweet! Definitely the best place to do yoga in Glasgow!
M. B.
It's so incredible to see how yoga studios have developed and adapted right now, and The Kali Collective have an unreal online programme. Easy to use and friendly, informative instructors. Couldn't recommend these sweet people any more x
L. W.
Such a warm and welcoming community - I felt at home as soon as I stepped through the doors. The space is also absolutely beautiful 😍

Excellent space, fantastic instructors & great class! Can't wait to come back.

I attended ‘Gentle Flow’ last Sunday morning with Jules and I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the class and also our very meaningful chat at the end. What an asset Jules is to your team, although she was substituting Scott today, I do believe it happened for a reason.
C. M.
My first time at Kali Collective was excellent. I am very new to yoga but the teacher, Max, was so helpful and patient. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend Kali collective. I can't wait for my next class!
S. M.
Kali collective is an incredible addition to the Scottish yoga community. Community is at the heart of Kali collective. Jenny, steph and their incredible teachers offer years of experience and a home for yogi's from beginner through to those with experience - there truly is something for everyone. I've never felt so welcome and at ease in a studio as I did at Kali. Take a class and experience the love.
K. M.
Really nice studio space with lots of equipment available that you might need during the class (bolsters, blocks, straps). Staff have been friendly and welcoming each time I've been with option of an online class which is ideal if you can't attend in person.
R. L.
The Kali Collective is the best!!! You hear...the BEST!!! The beautiful studio is so welcoming and cosy. The teachers are some of the most experienced and warm human beings. If you are looking for a wonderful yoga class, look no further. I can't recommend Kali enough!!
K. M.
The Kali collective is my little Heaven in Glasgow. Steph and all the instructors are amazing - so welcoming, so encouraging and so supportive throughout my practice. I turned up last year feeling so nervous because I was so inflexible and as soon as I walked in the door I felt at ease and I have never felt self conscious on my mat in there! I have so much love for this place - it has truly change my life in so many ways! Big love girls !!
J. S.
Kali is so much more than a yoga studio, it’s a community and a movement. Every person is accepted for exactly who they are and all the teachers and classes reflect this philosophy. I couldn’t recommend it enough.
j. a.
Had the honour of doing my first session with Alice from Kali Collective. Got so much out of this, the prompts and poses were great and felt truly guided throughout.
A blessing to still be able to connect with people over this crazy year. Thank you to all the teachers who have helped so much throughout!!
Would really recommend 🙏🏼
J. B.
Kali collective is not just a yoga studio, it is a family. The team have made such a wonderful environment, so that you feel comfortable and welcomed into the community. If you haven't tried yoga before (or are a yogi) Steph, Jenny and the team will ensure that you enjoy any class. Lots of opportunities to try various classes, alongside lots of different workshops, talks and guest teachers.
I started yoga with Steph and Jenny in 2015 and it changed the way I go about my daily life. Not only do I love yoga now but my mindset has been positively changed thanks to these wonderful girls.
A. K.
Really welcoming yoga studio within the heart of Glasgow that has a wide variety of classes through out the week. Kali provides everything from yin to power. But best of all it offers a home-like environment for everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners!
E. C.
Kali Collective is by far the best studio in Glasgow. Perfect location, great studio, variety of classes and the people are amazing. So friendly and such a great yoga community to be part of. Very welcoming for a beginner and really enjoying the classes.
S. W.
My home :) This yoga studio has the most incredible students. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. They encourage each other to grow and there is never an intimidating or unwelcome feeling. Jenny's vinyasa classes are the bomb and all the other instructors are the highest quality! This is the best community ever!

One of the friendliest and warm studios I have ever been to. Amazing teachers, workshops and infectiously positive atmosphere. It's been so wonderful to see the studio blossom and grow over the last year! Steph & Jenny Are changing the face of the Glasgow yoga community and i can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeve! Xx
S. E.
Fantastic studio with knowledgeable teachers that clearly love to teach. Their online subscription is amazing value for money with a great selection of classes available for all abilities and in a variety of styles. Highly recommended ☺️
P. W.
This studio is warm and welcoming. Steph's classes are some of the best i've ever done, and I've done yoga all over the world. She is a teacher in every sense of the word. You can tell she is living her passion as she gives 100% of herself in each class. Going to this studio will be time worth spent, you'll leave more relaxed and centered than when you arrived.
L.
Just had my first online class with Demelza and really enjoyed it! The teachers are friendly and supportive, giving good instructions and taking their time to ensure that you are doing the positions right. There is a very welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait for my next class! Can warmly recommend :)
G. C.
I have been attending the Kali Collective since it opened last summer and I can honestly say it is the best studio I have ever attended with some truly fabulous teachers. I have practiced yoga in the UK and overseas and what Steph and Jenny offer at the studio is superb. You have the choice of vinyasa, beginners classes, yin, power vinayasa, barre and yoga nidra. There is literally something for everyone. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming and you are encouraged to grow in your practice. They offer lots of additional workshops and different class passes to suit your needs. The location is central with parking or Anderston train station nearby. They also offer the most amazing tea at all their classes too. A winner in my books!
J. N.
I had such a lovely first visit to Kali Collective in Glasgow. I've been searching for the right yoga studio for me for a while now and have most definitely found it and I'm already booked in for my next class. I couldn't recommend more.
M. B.
I first visited the studio, when it opened, and what a year it has been. I have met an amazing community of people and the yoga/barre are just as awesome. I feel a sense of warmth when I go to classes and the teachers, all of them, have got me to where I am with yoga.I can say that the have everything you are looking for in a practice and one that definitely motivates you from yin to power, barre and even workshops yay there is something for everyone. The studio is beautifully presented and the layout is as equally transforming including tea which is lovely to have before/after a class.
Im so committed that I travel to get there(30mins away), to ensure I go and visit this amazing studio. Steph & Jenny are both amazing teachers and the community is every bit as good. Its so close to roads and public transport, making every bit easier for others to get there. Try it for yourself and be as equally excited and passionate as I am.
E. W.
Kali collective have a beautiful space to practice yoga, its warm and inviting with super cute decor. The instructors are fantastic and there classes cater to beginners and advanced yogies alike.

Lovely little yoga studio.
I took the beginners class because i haven't practiced in a long time and needed to take it slow.
The instructor was lovely and explained things very clearly.
Highly recommended.
C. L.
Really happy to have discovered Kali during Coronavirus for their online Yin sessions, and will definitely be joining them in the studio when I can. Great prices, easy to book and very attentive instruction from Demelza.

Caters to all abilities from beginner to more advanced practitioners, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. A variety of styles of yoga on offer (vinyasa, yin, power, forrest) mean there's plenty to try out, and always something new to learn! Definitely worth trying out, has fast become my favourite place to practice!
N. M.
I had my first class at Kali and cannot wait to return! The new warm vinyasa yoga class was great and really soothing on my muscles whilst flowing, couldn’t recommend it more! Thank you so much :)

A great oasis in Glasgow! Jenny & Steph have established a much needed studio in a city that's searching for high quality yoga. Every instructor provides a unique experience, and the location near Anderston train station is perfect!

I have visited many Yoga studios over the years and it's refreshing to find one where there is an innate sense of trust in the instructor (Steph) allowing me to close my eyes for much of the practice and simply listen to the cues whilst allowing my body to release. Much thanks and I will be back when next in Glasgow, Namaste.
J. M.

This studio feels like a genuine community!
The classes are varied and led by knowledgable and welcoming teachers. It is a studio suitable for all folks, regardless of their previous experience in the yoga realm.
I felt drawn to this studio and space, so enrolled in the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Steph. My YTT experience has been very positive, fascinating and encompasses so many topics that have deepened my knowledge of the practise and tradition. I am currently doing module two of the YTT and look forward to completing the course soon!
I can't recommend this studio, teachers and community enough!
