I have been a Ten client for repeated physio (post op and general injuries) as well as Pilates and have always been pleased with their service, friendliness and most importantly the effectiveness! With the COVID-19 lock-down I was worried about using video calls for physio but was pleasantly surprised by how easy they are and how much they can get done remotely! My rehab has been progressing nicely with Jayden and I have even more time to make sure I do my exercises while self-isolating. Huge thank you for all that you do and for staying with your clients through these challenging times.

Excellent tuition, state of the art equipment and meticulously clean. I always feel an inch taller and full of feel good endorphins after a class - I wouldnt go anywhere else for reformer pilates.

Having hurt my Achilles’ tendon I consulted Jayden. He has taken me from pain and limping to being able to attend a 3 day fieldcraft exercise and get back to walking 3-4 miles a day. He is a complete hero - great motivation, perfect advice (both in person at clinic and on email), set progressive exercises and was really encouraging all the way. I never believed I would make the progress I have as was pretty despondent when first did it. He is just brilliant.

Had my first beginners session of Reformer Pilates with Emily. I arrived early at the studio and was greeted with a nice smily face. I was shown to the changing rooms. These are very clean and with showers. Ruth is very friendly and knowledgeable. The first class was challenging, both in terms of working my muscles and also forcing myself to pay particular attention to how every inch of my body was aligned, but I also felt extremely safe with Emily being around. Guys i would highly recommend this studio. I am a runner with a weak core. I already feel stretched and my body is already thanking me just after one session!

James Hurst is very thorough and extremely knowledgable on alignment and sports massage. He makes every effort to explain what is going on and gives you the support you need at home too, by sharing excellent home exercises in between visits. His follow up emails a day after treatment are welcoming and very detailed. I have seen a huge difference in my alignment and muscle tension since having weekly massages with James the past 6 weeks. Highly recommended.

I’ve just spent 2 weeks on a health kick that started at Ten Health & Fitness Mayfair with the excellent physio Jayden Arnold. He has helped me improve my strength and fitness no end! A calf injury that has been bothering me for months is completely healed.
I’ve been taking almost daily reformer Pilates classes with the equally fantastic instructors Brad Emmott & Rafael Cunha. They patiently explained how to complete every movement. Can’t praise them highly enough!
Thanks to James Hurst the soft tissue therapist who has brought my stiffened body back to life with his sometimes painful but always enjoyable massages.
Finally all of the team have been so kind and welcoming - thank you Christina, Monique & all the team.
The only shame is that I don’t live in London so can’t make regular visits to Ten x

He has provided excellent treatment and advice during our sessions and will follow up with an email so you can carry on the good work at home. Over the last nine months I have been having regular sports massage sessions with James Hurst (Ten & Fitness, Mayfair Studio) for various back issues coming from prolonged hours at the office desk, training and stress. James has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and skill. He listens carefully to the patient and adapts his technique based on the symptoms and needs of the patient building upon what worked well in the previous sessions and regularly trying new techniques. James truly cares about his patients and strives to make lasting impact on their wellbeing outside the message session by suggesting (and explaining the correct technique!) stretching exercises, providing very practical follow up advice and checking in with patients.

My massage therapist James Hurst deserves nothing but praise. He has changed my physically and by extension I feel a lot stronger mentally and more aware of my body/posture/muscles. I went to see him for post injury (shoulder and leg) and general knots, and tension. The beginning was tough and painful, but after a few sessions that initial (normal) pain was gone, and as the confidence grew, the more relaxed I became. He has helped me with my stress related tension in my shoulders and mid-rif, and has helped me breath so much better. He recommended me to see the lead physio at Ten as well, who has helped me tremendously. Going to see James is a no-brainer.

I have been going to ten since March for help with strengthening of my knee post ACL rupture and post ACL surgery. Sam is awesome, he goes above and beyond to look after me. You often hear the phrase ‘actually I learnt something new’ showing that they are consistently upskilling and keeping up to date with the latest research and treatments. When Sam is away Hayden has looked after me just as well with great communication between the team that I would hardly have known I was seeing a different person.
I also recommend their sports massage team, I’ve seen James a couple times throughout the year to deal with aches and pains he is brilliant at listening to what you need and is excellent at his job.

Excellent active muscle therapy and sports massage recently from James Hurst. His experience and skills make for treatment that really makes a difference. Not just passive relaxation, but involves a combination of deep tissue massage and active stretches that targets and releases tight muscles. Very helpful to manage the stresses on the body of continuing to exercise regularly and enjoy sports, dealing with aches and pains, while preventing injury.

I had severe knee pain and was booked in to see Jayden Arnold ( who was referred to me by my knee surgeon) a week before lockdown. The session was cancelled due to the current Covid crisis. We moved the first session to a Zoom call and I was very sceptical. How can someone really diagnose and help when they’ve never met me be before?
I was totally surprised. Jayden has been awesome. In one month, the difference to my knee is incredible. Jayden is so knowledgable and really has helped me immeasurably. He’s that good, I made my partner see him for a shoulder injury. My partner is also really impressed.

Ten Physio could not have offered a better physio service. Jayden and Dyllan went above and beyond offering me Shockwave Therapy for my planta fascitis. I have had the problem for 3 months which has meant dull constant pain with every step. After just one session of Shockwave Therapy I noticed results just a few days later! The pain subsided almost completely. It will require several sessions to reap the full benefits and lasting results but I love that it takes 5 minutes and is the first thing that has offered me some pain relief. I couldn't recommend Ten Physio enough and to see Jayden or Dyllan, both amazing guys!

James is a great Massage Therapist with an encyclopaedic knowledge of body mechanics and how to treat sports related injuries and problems arrising from too long spent at a desk. He takes an intuitive and healing approach to treatment and is a master at improving mobility and relaxing the muscles and connective tissues without inflicting pain.

Really enjoy the Beginners pilates class here, Martin is very helpful and always gives clear instructions making you feel at ease, especially if you are new to the class. The class sizes are quite small which is good, and he is always able to assist where required.

I have sports massages by James Hurst at the TEN Health & Fitness in Mayfair. I had shin splints at the beginning of the year and he is helping me through a lot of the pain and given me regular excercises to do that have helped massively. Ifeel so much better now that I'm back to running (albeit at a slower pace). His hands are magic! Would definitely James!

I escape my daily routine of sitting behind a desk in the office for a lunchtime Pilates session in the Mayfair studio! It is my haven - clean and hygienic studios, great reformer classes and lovely staff! It is expensive but worth every penny. I feel I can really time out and I love the feeling a couple of days after the class where my muscles are gently aching! :-)

The instructors are fantastic and class sizes no more than 10 so you get pointers on technique and options to challenge yourself more if you want. I sometimes have issues getting the website to work when buying blocks of classes but staff always resolve quickly.

Very good studio I particularly like the intermediate classes run by Danilo and Caroll challenging and fun. The size of the studio and the class makes it easy for the instructors to check the posture and address personal requests. One possible negative is small size of the changing room.
