Reviews of Yoga Classes With Julie

Love this yoga classes and yoga instructor Julie is the best. Did them during pregnancy and mummy and baby yoga too. Very gentle, clear, knowledgeable instructor. I did start to feel really well every time I did Julie's yoga class: back pain, shoulder pain and all kinds of pregnancy aches have gone. Baby loves the class too which is nice. And the most important delivery of the baby was so gentle easy amazing. I believe due to these pregnancy yoga classes. Thanks a lot Julie. I really value your help, support and advice all the way through. 🙏

I am currently pregnant with my second child, I attended Julie's classes with my first and made sure to do it again this time because I loved the sessions so much. She is very gentle and kind, and the sessions are so informative. It has really helped keep me calm, and it is always an evening I look forward too weekly, where I get time alone and get to really engage with my unborn child. Highly recommended! She is also very affordable too. Thanks Julie x

Signed up for in person prenatal yoga with Julie from week 25 and so glad I did! The sessions proved invaluable especially entering into the third trimester. Julie was very attentive to all of us and provided adjustments for different stages of pregnancy as needed. I look forward to starting postnatal sessions soon! Regina

Highly recommended. Julie is really experienced and helped me throughout my pregnancy with various issues. I thoroughly enjoyed her sessions. The studio is amazing as well. She only took limited numbers to reduce exposure and risk of COVID for the the expectant mums.

I did pregnancy yoga with Julie for nearly 6 months. I learnt more about movement and my body’s needs than in any other practice I’ve done before, and that was even while doing the classes on zoom. I had a very comfortable pregnancy with fewer aches and pains, and my baby was always engaged/in the right position, both of which I put down to the yoga.
Julie ran the classes well on zoom and was very considerate for all of the women's needs/special requirements.

I can’t thank enough Julie for all her knowledge, support and good energy through my pregnancy. I feel great, I move well, and I still can sleep at 39 weeks.
I highly recommend everyone who can join pregnancy yoga to do, and I would not trust anybody else than Julie.
Thank you again
xx

Julie is a wonderful teacher and I cannot recommend her pregnancy yoga classes highly enough. As a complete beginner to yoga and also experiencing pelvic girdle pain, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do a lot of the positions. Julie guided me through and suggested adaptations where appropriate so that I was able to fully participate. She has a lovely calm manner and a very soothing voice so I came away from the sessions feeling really positive. It was a great class to attend, both in person and then via zoom. Thank you very much Julie!

Julie's classes are absolutely gorgeous. Just what the Dr ordered for new Mum's! My bubba loved them too.

I did Julie’s pregnancy yoga last year when pregnant with my first baby and have carried on into mum & baby yoga classes. I loved the pregnancy classes, they helped me feel calm and prepared for birth whilst giving me an opportunity to stretch and relax in what I felt was a safe and comfortable environment. Going to the mum and baby classes with my son has been great, the classes helped me regain some body confidence and strength and the pelvic floor work is invaluable. I’m so relieved that they’ve continued online, having the class to look forward to each week has helped punctuate my week during lockdown and I have found the social aspect just as valuable as the yoga side to the class.

I started practicing Yoga with Julie when i was pregnant, continued onto the mother and baby class and now currently the regular Saturday morning classes. All i can say is that Julie’s classes are some of the most welcoming and down to earth that I have attended, and her gentle guidance throughout class means I have been able to continue my Yoga journey regardless of what life throws at me. The Saturday morning classes are really one of my favourite things in the week :)

I have started writing this review a couple of times, but on each occasion I decided to delete it, as I felt that words cannot express enough how truly amazing Julie is.
I have attended Julie's pregnancy class until birth and thanks to her deep knowledge, her calming, relaxing and very professional yoga classes I had a great pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.
Her active birthing workshop made both my husband and I ready for the big day.
Julie is fantastic person and her yoga classes are the best what can happen to anyone.
Worth every single penny.

I have done the prenatal yoga, birth preparation course and mummy and baby yoga with both babies. Julie's classes have been such a fantastic part of my life - great to feel relaxed and fit during pregnancy, and incredibly important me time when spending time with my baby postnatally. She helps adapt the classes for individuals, her personalised yoga instructions made a great difference to my pelvic girdle pain for example with the pain improving throughout pregnancy which is rare. Julie is great but most importantly her classes make me happy. Her birth prep course was super useful, while NHS and NCT give all the practical info Julie's birth prep course gave me confidence to give birth well, which was very helpful - the midwife didn't arrive in time but I managed to give birth at home confidently and calmly - thanks Julie!

A knowledgeable and caring yoga angel watching over you.
Yes I am mean this whole heartedly, I have known Julie for a number of years and whenever I am able to attend her Saturday classes I always leave feeling cared for, nurtured and nourished in body, mind and spirit. She is a wonderfully caring and calm person and always cheerful. Her expert knowledge of yoga combined with her ability to carefully listen to the needs of people attending her classes is exceptional. She guides you through the mat, carefully detailing how to move, breathe, strengthen, stretch and calm. She is always watching over you and with the slightest of touch helps you adjust position to gain maximum benefit from every pose. Her classes are a weekly delight. A truly inspirational teacher.
Her retreats and restorative evenings are wonderful too.

I practiced yoga with Julie when I was pregnant with my first child and came straight back when I became pregnant with my second. My first birth was so straightforward and I am sure that was in large part due to Julie's guidance, helping me to know what is going on with my body and focusing on my breathing to get me through the labour. Julie's classes are a great place to have a bit of me time and to focus on your body and your baby. When I started to suffer from PGP at 38 weeks I knew Julie's class was the right place to be. She is extremely supportive and modified the movements to help reduce the pain. I was almost in tears with the pain from the PGP but after Julie's class I had the best night's sleep in a week, and with the continued support and exercises the pain is certainly down a notch or two. Thank you Julie!

Where to start? Julie is an amazing teacher; friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Every pose is explained with modifications if necessary. The Saturday class is suitable for all, although you can make it as challenging as you like. Her focus is on happiness, safety and fun.
Her Friday evening class is held every 2 months and is the best thing you will spend your money on that weekend; a candlelit room with long supported poses followed on by long relaxation. Heaven.
She embodies everything that yoga should be 🙏

I can’t overstate enough what a difference Julie’s classes made to my birth experience, which got very intense very quickly. I knew how to breathe and stay calm and what positions would help during contractions thanks to the ten antenatal classes I did in the run up. Not only that, the classes were calming and fulfilling during my pregnancy and I looked forward to them every week. Thank you, Julie! x

I have attended Julie's pregnancy, mother and baby, normal classes as well as one of her active birthing workshops. They are all great - I found the pregnancy classes very helpful in coping with tiredness and maintaining a sense of well-being. The atmosphere in all the classes is supportive and relaxing and I would highly recommend them.

Brilliant yoga teacher and classes. I have done nearly all the classes Julie offers from Pregnancy and mummy and baby yoga to hatha and restorative yoga and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one. Julie is a warm and welcoming and caters to all abilities.

I attended Julie’s yoga classes throughout my pregnancy & we attended the one day birthing workshop. My husband used the techniques we learnt at the active birthing workshop and I used my yoga breathing techniques throughout labour which allowed me to remain calm & in control and definitely allowed me to have the natural birth I wanted.
I’m so glad I attended the yoga sessions throughout my pregnancy & look forward to joining the Mum & baby classes soon.

I have been practising yoga with Julie for around 10 years now. Julie's classes are for all abilities as she provides clear instructions and adjustments. No class is ever the same! She also actively promotes the benefits of each pose. The Yoga by Candlelight sessions are a must. A very special enlightening experience.

I have been going to Saturday morning classes for over 8 years... I feel taller, stronger, better and more relaxed after... Classes are varied... but always complete joy. Julie helps with precise instructions, adjustments, props... to get all benefits out of the pose.. It is a very good start of the weekend.

“I’d been putting off telling you that I’m moving out of London, especially because my yoga sessions with you are one of the things I’ll miss the most - you’re simply an irreplaceable teacher and I will miss you so much.
I just wanted to let you know that your yoga sessions, Hatha Flow on Saturday mornings, have been the most constant (would you believe) thing I’ve done over the last 5 years. And I’ve always said they have kept me sane, healthy, strong and grounded this entire time.
So, thank you. Is all I’m trying to say. Thank you.”

This month I participated in the restorative 2 hr yoga class for the first time. I'm in the middle of chemotherapy and it made me feel better about everything.
