I have had the pleasure of experiencing Helen's Thai foot massage and I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxing and soothing experiences I have ever had. I have lymphoedema in my right leg and foot, and I can feel that the fluid in my foot is gradually becoming softer. I go to Helen for her Thai foot massages regularly now and have recommended her to a few of my friends. Helen is so attentive, thorough and gentle. It's an amazing spiritual experience and I can't rate her highly enough

This was my first experience of yoga nedra and I was surprised to find I actually engaged with the idea of relaxation while responding to a voice.
Helen's soothing, calming instructions were easy to follow and I found myself gradually finding a sense of inner wholeness and peace.
I would like to further explore this experience and will be keeping in contact with Helen.
I would recommend this type of yoga as a means of relaxation and meditation, as a means of dealing with stress and anxiety.

Helen is a very calming influence and I have enjoyed a socially distanced session recently in a lovely garden and one on Zoom - I'm not normally a fan of zoom and prefer a recording if there is not the option of a 'real' session but the yoga session that I did on Zoom with Helen was easy and went very well. I’ve been attending Helen’s classes for nearly a year, starting with her in the final months of her training. At present I’m doing one on-line zoom session (now frequently 121) and one outside in a garden with about 5 other students.
I started my yoga journey doing fairly fast continuous flows, finishing with feelings of exhaustion as well as pleasure. Helen’s approach to yoga, though still challenging, is very much slower and focuses on the breath and relaxing into and through poses, noticing how our bodies are reacting and adjusting as necessary. We use props, including chairs, to explore the poses together – this has greatly enhanced my ability to relax into and benefit from poses where previously I was undoubtedly tensing a little bit to hold poses. After one class where we used a chair for the first time in downward dog I finished the session feeling like I’d had the best massage ever, with my back open and rested and balanced. After a seated resting pose I experienced my spine as a completely balanced part of my body - stacked and weightless like never before. Another standing chair pose brought about a feeling of connection with the earth so that I could feel upward energy under my soles. Amazing stuff.
I’m also very excited about Helen’s approach to her students and her own development. She is an avid researcher. She reads widely and shares her insights with us, especially on how to access and stimulate the vagus nerve. She aims to make her knowledge relevant to her students so that it feels like she is tailoring her classes to us.
Feedback for Helen is very important so that she can understand what our bodies need. We’ve also recently tried some of her least favourite poses and described what they do for us so that she could experience through others’ eyes, and learn from us. I find this open approach amazing and refreshing.
I have learned so much with Helen. She is a delightful person and a very comfortable and inclusive teacher. Her professional attitude and knowledge and calmness engenders trust – and we have fun too. With her I have really taken my yoga practice to an entirely different level. Jo Armes
