Reviews of Yoga Quota

I've been going to Yoga Quota for over two years, and it is the first yoga studio where I felt truly welcome and at ease. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and not intimidating at all. I later did my 200h yoga teacher training with them in 2018 and it was the most special experience, connecting with the trainers and other trainees and becoming part of a really supportive community. I now live in Spain, but every time I come to Oxford, even if it is just for a couple of days, the first thing I do is book myself into a class there! I highly, highly recommend it!

I loved my class with Yoga Quota! I've tried other yoga classes but this was definitely the best I've been to. The teacher was excellent and very attuned to each individual in the class. I have a problem with my wrists, so she showed me how to adopt more comfortable poses. It was a small class and she delivered a session that was tailored to everyone's abilities while also maintaining her individual style, which I liked a lot. It seems like the teachers there really enjoy what they do. I'll be back for sure! Thank you :)

I joined Yoga Quota 6 months ago and have loved every class, so glad to have found this studio! It is in the center of town and have a good range and times of classes available including workshops. The teachers create a great atmosphere in the studio, relaxed and welcoming, it's like stepping into a little slice of yogi heaven every time. The teachers guide you through movements offering support and different options if you need them. I come away with a post-yoga zen glow!
Inspiring place!

Yoga Quota is a great studio - the first ever yoga classes I took were here, and the studio is hugely responsible for the joy and calm that I now receive from a regular yoga practice by creating such a positive first environment. The teachers are all amazing, the community is incredibly warm and non-judgmental, and I really enjoy the small class size. I would recommend Yoga Quota to anyone, and love that it's a part of my week.

For me, Yoga Quota is a little yoga-heaven in Oxford. The teachers are SO experienced and competent, there are tons of different classes offered with different styles and approaches, the place is small, but the community so incredibly welcoming and chilled. The most inspiring thing is the mission of this studio, a non-profit organization that brings yoga also to those who cannot afford it or have difficulties accessing it. My experience is that this place and the people who work there embody the very essence of what yoga is about.

When I first went to yoga quota I had recently moved to Oxford. I googled different studios and by pure chance I found them. I went in there with zero expectations, and left with my heart full. The atmosphere was lovely. The studio is a cosy place, and the teachers make you feel warm and welcomed. Even though I hadn’t practiced for a while - I felt like it didn’t matter. What was important was that I enjoyed my practise. And I loved it! On top of all this I found out that they are an incredible charity. I recommend yoga quota to everyone I know, and I now do my yoga teacher training with them. Couldn’t be happier.

I joined Yoga Quota back in February after a bad cycling accident, and found it to be the perfect balance of a healing, positive and friendly environment. The instructors are all extremely personable and accommodating, and if you have a particular problem they will work with you to find the best solution.
I also really like the fact that Yoga Quota is a charity! For every I think 50 people that come through the studio they run one free class for disabled, disadvantaged and other minority groups. They have lots of classes every day, and the intimate setting of the small studio, for me, really takes the pressure off having to 'perform' for others.
Thank you again Yoga Quota for giving me such a great experience during my time in Oxford!

I've been going to classes at Yoga Quota for a few months now, and they are absolutely brilliant! It's a lovely, intimate studio space which makes class sizes necessarily small, but they run a variety of classes spread throughout the day to ensure maximum convenience. The prices are very reasonable, with great rates on membership.
All the teachers are friendly and welcoming and they cater for all levels of experience. As others have said, the fact that they are a charity is a real plus - a little dose of philanthropy with your downward dog!

I researched a lot of yoga teacher training courses...before stumbling across the gem that is Yoga Quota...Everything about their approach is different and from the word go I was struck by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I attended 2 classes at the Sweaty Betty site before signing up and everything I had felt was confirmed....Yoga Quota has a heart and this for me means everything. The new Turl Street site is a haven of bliss and I feel so lucky to be doing my training there. I have loved the classes I have attended - the teachers are highly knowledgeable and authentic. Thank you....

I can still remember my very first yoga class with Yoga Quota. It was a Vin & Yin class after I had a really stressful day. I felt incredible afterwards! I never stopped going ever since. The new studio in Turl Street Kitchen is an amazing second location, both studios are well located, easy to find and very cozy. All yoga teachers are amazing. There's a huge emphasis on being inclusive and welcoming everyone equally. Yoga Quota is actually organising charity yoga classes besides their regular studio classes!
I can also highly recommend the 200h yoga teacher training :-))))

The atmosphere of this studio is totally addictive. Yoga Quota has taken me from a beginner yogi lacking confidence to full time convert, with all the physical and mental benefits that come with it. The instructors are the most supportive I've met, and demonstrate such an awareness of differing needs, abilities and styles, that every class feels like it's been tailored just for you, regardless of how many fellow yogis there are. When I first started coming YQ I did about one class a week, and all of a sudden found myself going every day - like I said, addictive!
Also worth mentioning: the beautiful space, the charitable ethos and the wonderful community that is Yoga Quota. Could not recommend highly enough.

Yoga quota offers the most amazing classes by such skilled and lovely instructors. Each of the instructors offer classes that have the ability to connect to each individual no matter what the size of the class. The classes allow you varied options depending on your level/how your feeling that day, allowing the space to feel a safe space with no right or wrong answer. Every week when I'm planning my work schedule I make sure to plan in what classes I can do to allow myself the headspace/content feeling yoga quota allows me to feel. I would be lost without their classes!

Easily the best yoga studio in Oxford! Offering a wide range of classes to suit all styles, schedules and abilities, Yoga Quota is an extremely welcoming community, with inspiring and supportive teachers, a convenient location and an excellent charitable ethos.

This is the most inclusive empowering yoga studio I have ever been to , and the class structure is varied catering for those of us who like a challenge and those of us who like to just roll around on a mat! As a registered charity they provide free yoga classes to those in need for every ‘quota’ they fulfill. Feel good and do good at the same time ! Win win ! Well done to yoga quota .

Yoga Quota is just great =) Their yoga teachers are super friendly and they always make sure that yoga classes are accessible to everyone. They now have two studios with two different atmospheres. The yoga studio in High street is very cosy and the new studio in Turl Street is just very very nice (with lots of natural light).

One of the best yoga places I've ever attended in my life! Very convenient location, just 2-3 minutes of slow walking from city center bus stop and very convenient class schedule too!
Practice is great, all teachers are very friendly and respectful to your personal needs, it's one of the rare places where you feel to communicate with other yogis and it happens naturally. Absolutely awesome atmosphere and true yogi spirit! Really in love with this place!
Sometimes it's really tight and if you need to change clothes you have to use toilet, but I really don't mind for the quality of practise and atmosphere I get there. Best start of the day!

This lovely little yoga community has given me the introduction I needed to this great past time ! Everyone is friendly, teachers are great and know their stuff and I think they are the only studio in Oxford to offer classes on Fridays ! They have a wide range of classes and are very flexible so it is great for people of all levels.
I am looking forward to doing yoga all summer!

A devotee of the studio for more than a year, my practice is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the wonderful teachers at Yoga Quota. Anne should be incredibly proud! The small class sizes offer students plenty of opportunities to ask the teachers questions, and their knowledge of yoga and the body is amazing. Would highly recommend. xx

The wonderful group of teachers at the studio are incredibly down to earth, welcoming and warm; and of course incredibly good at what they do! I have never once had a bad class at this studio, and i couldnt reccomend yoga quota more to yogis at every level in their practice! the sense of community that surrounds both the teachers and students that attend the studio makes YQ feel like a truly special place to be. I am incredibly grateful to have shared this space with so many wonderful people and I will struggle to find a studio that will be able to match the amazing experiences I have had here.

I’m currently working through my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Quota and cannot recommend them enough! I’ve also been to a couple of the workshops and they’ve been fantastic! The teachers are friendly and supportive and there is always a great atmosphere.

I joined this yoga place a week ago and I am already addicted! It is a tiny place with no specific change room one needs to use the toilet for this, but such a great atmosphere! The teachers are devoted to their work and really helpful and motivating (special kudos to Venetia). It is in city centre, very convenient location. What I love the most about it is that the yoga flow is natural and doesn't feel artificial, because of the professionalism of the teachers. Thank you <3

I had a bad experience with the shop, but I have to say that the owner responded quite quickly and solved the issue afterwards. The Turl Kitchen studio is very nice. Hopefully there will be clearer suggestions for the two different places in the future so that new members like me wouldn’t be confused. Terribly organized! The shop assistant is terribly unfriendly and locked me in while there is a at 6. And I arrive at 5.45 and no one was attending me. The yoga studio is underground, and there is no proper changing room. The class slots are badly arranged, if you arrive early, you are unwelcome. (Although they stated that you should arrive 15 minuets before the class). I arrived 5 minuets before the class and I could only stay in the upper floor shop, the owner tends to be unfriendly and never showed me anything such as where should I get changed. Quite negative experience. I bought the short term trial and would not return once the trial finished.

When I moved to Oxford, I was going to tour the studios until I found a good match for what I look for. Yoga Quota was my first and last stop, and I’ve been practicing there full time since. I’m going to miss the space and the gorgeous teachers (each with their own style, each lovely) when I move away!

Lovely welcoming yoga studio in Oxford. Friendly and knowledgeable teachers who cater for all levels of experience, and an array of different classes to match your mood/energy level. Would recommend to everyone!

Yoga quota is creating an amazing community in Oxford - for teachers and students alike. The YQ team are friendly, helpful and passionate about yoga. I highly recommend trying a class or joining a training workshop.

Yoga Quota is a wonderful charitable enterprise in the heart of Oxford aiming to keep yoga true to its roots and yet engage with the current world. It does what it's name suggests, giving us all our quota of yoga not only for the day but for life. It's so refreshing how it looks to embody the ethos of yoga itself, not having a set form or prescribed criteria but reaching out to those who would most benefit from yoga today and being accessible for all. Not only are the classes conveniently located (place and time) but the teachers are open to all levels and tailor classes to accommodate the students needs. Due to its charitable status it's done amazingly well to find lodgings in its current studio, and as soon as one has started the practice the small room and closed environment is easily forgotten. I cannot praise YQ enough for taking this ancient art into a new modern direction that has been sorely needed. Thankyou YQ for such vision. Please continue reaching out to all!

professional and personal. I always love going to their different classes.

Hands down the best yoga studio in Oxford. Teachers are warm and friendly and I always walk away feeling 1000x better than when I walked in. The community at this studio is great, and classes are always full of laughter!

The Yoga Quota team provide a warm, friendly and supportive vibe at their beautiful studio on Turl Street. Wherher it's Vinyassa, Yin or Core, I feel both relaxed and energised every time I leave a YQ class. But it's really the charitable initiatives that set this studio apart. I feel pretty grateful that such a fantastic studio (and charity) exists in central Oxford!

Yoga Quota is an inspiring studio run by fantastic, experienced teachers. Expect a warm welcome, a tranquil oasis of a studio and yoga classes you will want to come back for.

Cosy chilled yoga in the centre of Oxford. The studio is a lovely upstairs room on turl st, with fairy lights and candles. The staff are lovely and the restorative yin classes are currently saving my sanity!!

Lovely studio with the friendliest instructors, wonderful atmosphere, and something for everyone. Their commitment to thinking about yoga and social justice really sets them apart from other studios.

Wonderful friendly and cosy studio. Great variety of classes at convenient times and teachers are always willing to adjust the class depending on what attendees request. Workshops are fantastic and really good value for money.

A genuine and authentic studio at the heart of the beautiful city centre! Max 8 students for a class-- makes it much easier for the teachers to instruct/correct you if you ask them!
